Teriyaki Combo (sauce on the side)
Tom B.

This place is a gem!!! I love ordering their combo teriyaki bowl with the sauce on the side! It's soooo good and the meat is already flavored well so you don't even need to eat the teriyaki sauce! Highly nutritious and still so delicious!!! The restaurant is very clean and they have tables to eat there. The customer service is always friendly! Their price point is on the higher side, but good tasting nutritious food costs more! Well worth it!

Korean BBQ burger
Tora M.

I was craving a juicy burger...started Yelping...found this unassuming place close to home! The name doesn't really say, "Korean fusion" though...I read a few reviews and tips and ordered the Korean BBQ burger! Omg! Large! Juicy! Delicious! I hadn't planned on it, but I ate every single bite. The only drawback is that it is MESSY - ask for extra napkins- problem solved! Wet wipes would be helpful too! I'm going to come back for their bowls & noodles. Yelp to the rescue, once again. Note: Closed for break between 3:30-4:30 (I originally arrived at 4:10). Also, restroom is currently closed.

Food is good. Pricey though. Especially when the service is poor. The young lady has her moments.

Any indoor seating yet (3 January 2022)?

I saw two people eating inside a couple of weeks ago but I always order takeout myself.

I called today, and they indicated they want masks before you enter the store (I understand, no problem. I'm not a maskhole) but can someone explain to me why this establishment has not resumed in-door dining after we have completed the tier system?

My best guess is because these are uncertain times and they are being cautious -- and here comes the Delta variant to scare us all again!

Why aren't they open? Don't want to lose this place but haven't been able to get through since the shut down

They re-opened today. Take-out only. New hours 11-7:30pm M-Sat

Does this place do catering?

Sorry I don't know!

Is there a menu? Then we could call and order

So happy to find this place. It's a Asian fusion bowl kind…read moreof place. Ingredients are fresh and you can customize your bowl. What's even better is they are allergen conscious place. They have the allergen notations up on their menu board - gluten free/vegan/dairy free. For me who has gluten and dairy allergies/intolerances; I have to constantly manage what I eat. I don't have celiac so for all those my GF BFF's - please let the staff know if you have severe allergies. So from what they advised me, the following protein are gluten free: - chicken satay - steak satay - teriyaki meatball I will double check with the staff next time on the organic tofu - which part in the tofu that is not gluten free. I'd love to try their tofu if it's in fact gluten free. I had their meatball with the tamarind vinaigrette which is so delicious and fresh. I had it with half brown rice and half salad. Their brown rice is not the typical brown rice. It's more like purple-ish brown rice that you'd find in a korean restaurant which is delicious. The 2nd time I was there, they ran out of the meatball so I opted for the chicken satay and tried it with the curry sauce (which they said it's one of their most popular sauces). The curry sauce is not marked as dairy free but I tried it anyway. It's really savory and good and had a bit of kick of spice to it. I can't wait to go back again and hopefully they make more of those meatballs. :)

My friend and I ordered two chicken bowls and sat down to eat. After only two bites, on the third…read morebite, I found a long hair inside my bowl. It was completely unacceptable and ruined our appetite immediately. We showed the bowl to the worker, and she took both bowls back. When we asked for a refund, the cashier said she didn't know how to process refunds and had to call the owner. We were told that the owner reversed the credit card charge and that we would be getting our money back. That was not true. Not only did we not eat the food, but we also never received our refund. Finding hair in food is bad enough, but lying to customers and keeping their money is even worse. This experience showed a lack of cleanliness, professionalism, and honesty. I will not be returning and do not recommend this place to anyone.

I also tried their new matcha with cold foam, and it was surprisingly good--smooth, refreshing, and a nice change from the usual drink options. The overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming too. Sake Sushi Bar and Lounge is a cozy local sushi / Japanese shop in the heart of downtown Montrose…read more Sake is reliable, reasonably priced, and tasty. This review is for the restaurant aspect of Sake; I understand this location presents more as a trendy lounge during certain times during the week; this review does not address this aspect. Our family came during the busy Montrose Arts Festival, having the Bento Box ($23), complete with spicy tuna, teriyaki salmon, soup, salad, and tempura shrimp, the baked BSCR ($17) and Tokyo Sunset ($19) rolls, and a K5 Paitan Pork Ramen ($14.50). The sushi rich but quite heavy on the mayo and sauce, the bento box varied with the only standout being the salmon teriyaki with a nice crust, and the ramen was a big hit with the kids. We finished with a Raspberry Macaron Ice Cream from the front freezer, which was tangy but frozen quite solid; it would benefit from a few minutes to thaw or the freezer temperature lowered by a few degrees. The inside is fashionable and clean. The staff was friendly and prompt, with our food arriving after 15-20 minutes. Prices are reasonable. Overall, Sake is a reliable and respectable sushi place worth a visit if you're craving Japanese in the Montrose area. Not unique enough to warrant a detour, but a solid, reliable local spot that won't disappoint. Food: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 4/5 Value: 4/5
