I've been to Corner Bakery a ton of times and I will say that the service is top tier. I never have an issue with my food and the workers always try their best to help with explaining the menu. Only reason I'm giving a one star is due to what I've witnessed a few times when I've stopped by. I've seen the owner talk to the employees in a somewhat rude and unprofessional manner. I have worked in the food industry in the past and I understand the struggles that come with customer service, so I find it frustrating to see that they have an owner that doesn't seem too amiable. Everything else is above my expectations and I will continue to support the workers there.

Ok so this cafe gave me a vibe mixture of Chick-fil-A, Panera, Starbucks, and Noodles & Company. Now you might think that's a weird mixture, but Corner Bakery Cafe makes it work. When I came here it was for a quick dinner and a coffee. When I walked in there weren't too many people there and tables were social distanced with mask enforced when walking around. The workers were super nice and used the phrase "my pleasure," which is most likely why I get Chick-Fil-A vibes. However according to my date this is an Amazing study spot. She told me they have plenty of cool coffee deals and are pretty quick in making your drinks. This is her go to spot when she wants to get work done and it seemed that was true for the other people in there. As for the food and coffee it was alright. We both ordered pasta dishes and went with the entre size. Let's just say the amount of food they give you for the price is breathtaking! For $10 I was able to get so much pasta that it was big enough for two filling meals! This was honestly my favorite part of the cafe. So all in all if you are looking for a study spot come here. You could honestly spend the whole day studying here. If you get lunch you'll also have enough for dinner. If you have a coffee addiction they offer plenty of coffee deals to tame your desire! So go on ahead and check out Corner Bakery Cafe!

Find myself looking for lunch while taking a relaxing drive, and low and behold I ran into this place which had an open drive-through. The staff was very patient with me as I read through the entire menu as I hadn't been to a corner bakery in quite a long time. Decided on a half a sandwich which should've been put in a smaller container because when I opened it it had pretty much falling apart. But it was still warm and a variety of fresh flavors. The hibiscus lemonade tea was perfect and hit the spot and felt like a great treat

When my Amazon packages can't get delivered because I'm not home they tend to get sent to the drugstore in Shorewood that's down the street from this Corner Bakery. Sometimes I go to the Culver's, but on this most recent trip I felt like trying the Corner Bakery since the menu looked pretty good. It's a chain. It's kind of like a Panera but different. I would say it's a more extensive menu but Panera has pasta and stuff. Corner Bakery is a little more flexible in terms of what you can get as part of a "choose 2" combo. I always get a combo of items when I can because it's a chance to try different things. I chose a half albacore tuna melt and chicken tortilla soup. The soup was good but not mind-blowing. It was similar to what I've had at other establishments. I did like the little tortilla-chip garnish. I really enjoyed the albacore tuna melt. The tuna salad had good onion-and-celery flavor. The cheddar went well with it. The bread was toasted nicely. I wouldn't compare this place with Benji's deli but on pure tuna-melt points they're close. They bus your table for you. I was expecting Panera-like ambiance so I was surprised that the person who brought me my meal offered to get my silverware and stuff. I realized I didn't actually need a knife and fork to eat soup, and that they had provided me a spoon, after I asked. But it was still nice. I want to try the meatballs either in panini form or with pasta. Also this looks like a nice place to get breakfast or come with a laptop and get work done. They have plug-ins under the bar which is a nice touch. Ignore no more, I'll probably be back.

Well out with the old and in with the new. Corner Bakery has hooked up an otherwise dull joint into a nice little addition to Capital Drive in Shorewood. Sure they have some waitstaff kinks to work out but considering they have been open for just about a week or so they are doing fine. Need snacks? Want some dessert? Early riser and wan't breakfast? This is your place with hours ranging from 6 am or 6:30 am on the weekends to close. They also are right near the Oak Leaf trail bridge that crosses over busy Capital Drive. With a massive patio area this is a great place to start the morning out and the prices are reasonable. I enjoyed a solid scramble that I ended up pretty full from. All summed up this is a welcome addition to the scene. Fast and easy, in and out. Good food too! I'm down! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Breakfast sandwich was average, nothing too outstanding. Iced coffee was trash, reminded me of Wendy's coffee. Service was friendly.

    - delicious food, good service, cozy ambiance - no…read morereservation can be made for brunch - excited to come back for a sweet option Happy to get a seat at this tasty diner! With their rotating menu items and weekly specials, I am definitely coming back after having such a flavorful and fun meal. Waited about an hour on a busy Saturday since one of their locations was closed, but the food was well worth it! I had gotten Wolfie's Patty Melt and it was filling and a great start to our morning. The bread was nice and crisp from the buttered griddle and held everything together perfectly. Inside the crunchy sandwich were 2 seasoned patties and enough gooey cheese to make it rich, but not heavy. To contrast the fatty flavor, there was a slightly tart bacon jam and onions that were truly caramelized. Overall really tasty sandwich with no notes! In the description it says there is a sauce, but I could only taste the onions and jam, so I'm not too sure what it added. The side of fries was ok, but I think some crispy thinner ones would have been better with the sandwich. For my drink, I got a hot Ube Chai. The chai was strong and had a spicy kick to each sip. Already a subtle flavor, the ube was not very strong with the chai mixed in, but still added fun color. The design on top was also very cute and added another dink of sweetness. My girlfriend got the Spamelette for her main and it was pretty pretty and delish. Not too often that you see Spam, but when you see it, trust it earned its spot on a menu! The big chunks of Spam and accouterments gave each bite a pleasant feel and one full of flavor. I was skeptic of the mushrooms at first, but they were seasoned well and added another kind of texture to the meal. I think my favorite toppings were the drizzle of kewpie and the green onions... not sure if it counts as a topping, but the tamari glaze of the spam made it delish. Taste aside, it was also a pretty meal! Pook got a Hot Chocolate for her drink. Nice simple drink for the cold weather. We would have liked to see some more chocolatey flavor, but still a good milky drink for the meal. This drink also had a fun design and nice cream top, yum yum yum. This was such a tasty meal and they have lots of other options that I was debating on getting - I guess we gotta come back! It was a really cold day, but the cozy atmosphere and hot drinks with our food made it a great experience. We had originally planned on going to the Downtown location, but it was closed because of heating problems. I wish there was a bit more uniformity between their menus, especially since the Brewers Hill menu has different items and is smaller, so it feels like there is quite the difference between locations. Going off of that point, I am excited to try their dinner menu when it releases and see how it compares to when we ate Downtown! I am not sure how the places differ, but I felt the food here to be more flavorful than the other location. In addition to the dining area, they had a small shop and coffee area in the back while you waited for your table. It was fun and made time pass faster, but I feel as though that area is also perfect for dining. Maybe there are specific reasons why it isn't, but just a thought. Hope to come back soon!

Our server was fun to chat with and definitely made the experience a bit more interesting. I stopped in for brunch on a Wednesday around 11am and snagged the last open table. Ordered the Steak & Eggs and was impressed by the value; healthy portion, reasonable price. Perfectly cooked medium rare steak with chimichurri, crispy-runny eggs, and excellent potatoes holding it all together. The food is thoughtfully plated without trying too hard, and the prices feel fair for the quality. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been. Another lil Milwaukee gem!

It definitely seemed that the staff here were simply not prepared for the volume of people that came out to celebrate the area and support the Historical Society. Emma, our server, was definitely trying, but not always succeeding, neglecting to enter in some parts of the order until far later into the evening (our friends didn't receive their order of garlic bread for about 45 minutes after their entrees were delivered) though oddly enough, she was always ready to bring someone another alcoholic beverage. Thankfully the food I had was pretty good, the grilled cheese sandwich paired well with their tomato bisque soup--I took a chance on the soup not being a traditional tomato soup fan (Campbell's? Gross!) but I found Three Lions version to be hearty and flavorful, definitely a combo that I would get again in the future. I would just come on a night when they could keep up with the crowds far better! Pro tip: Ask for croutons for the soup, they elevated a good soup to an amazing soup.

We came on a Sunday before they officially started serving breakfast and just had pastries available, but we were getting together with some friends for our monthly coffee date and didn't need a whole meal necessarily. The selection was a bit more limited than I would have expected from a boulangerie, but the cinnamon roll was very good (probably would have been better if it had been warmed up but that was not offered). And the cookies that we brought home (chocolate chip and gingersnap) were also very good. I also tried a bite of my husband's quiche and it was very good--definitely made in-house! The almond croissant had a generous amount of almond paste in it, and was quite sizable, too.

The cheese was maybe not as all the way melted as I expected but it was still a nice treat. I couldn't resist getting the lemon cake for dessert. They had a strawberry shortcake that day too. Service was attentive and they kept my coffee cup filled. I should come here more often for weekend brunch.

My husband and I came in on a whim, and given that it was a Friday night we got very lucky being able to snag two seats at the bar. I love bar seating honestly, especially where bartenders are friendly, as they were. These guys knew what they were doing too, because they wiped up our craft cocktails in a flash. Moxie is kind of known for their martinis, and have a whole section on their menu for them, so naturally that's what I gravitated towards. I can't recall the name of the one I chose, but essentially it was Hendrick Gin, cucumber, and mint. So refreshing. My husband had a bourbon cocktail of sorts and really enjoyed it too. We weren't in the mood for full-dinner so instead shared the short rib medallions from the apps list. Those were tasty! Perfectly cooked braised short rib on top polenta medallions with bourbon-marinated peaches and cambozola cheese... what's not to love? We also had the caesar salad with chicken, which was crispy and hit the spot. Plan to spend a decent amount of $$ dining here, but you get what you pay for. All in all, a nice night!
