Regina is highly educated in the wine and spirits arts (yes, this is an art lol) and shared lots of useful knowledge during our tasting.

The tomato bisque came out looking simple and did exactly what it needed to do. Deep tomato energy…read more Rich without getting heavy. Smooth on the spoon with that soft creamy finish that makes soup feel a little luxurious instead of just warm. The feta on top cut through it nicely. Salty. Tangy. A little flash of brightness in every bite. It gave comfort with some polish. Like rainy day food that still has good posture. The almond croissant was the one. Golden edges. A soft shatter on the outside. Then that dense almond center that lands sweet, nutty, and almost plush. The powdered sugar on top made it feel a little extra in the best way. Not too precious. Not too sugary. Just enough to make it feel bakery serious. The kind of pastry that makes you pause after the first bite because now everybody else at the table wants some. The tea was better than good. Clean. Smooth. Calming in a way that made everything else settle into place. It felt intentional. Not an afterthought. Definitely the standout and the easiest thing to come back for. Forgot her name, but the woman helping me order was a lifesaver. Honest. Adorable. Knew how to guide without hovering. Gave the kind of recommendation you trust immediately. The room had that easy café buzz. Warm lighting. People lingering. Felt relaxed without losing its shape. it's giving... quiet luxury brunch energy due to the vibe she gave. Coming back.

The next time in 2024 when I was in the area, they were closed for a remodel. Today was the day. The beer selection was fantastic and so was the food. I got the pork sandwich with greens on top. It was delicious, but it could've not had juices leaking so much? Maybe cheese below and above the meat to try to keep some of the juices off the bun or maybe more bun toasting? The fries were amazing and I should've gotten the aolie initially, but didn't get it until I saw another table with an order. It was delicious. The service was very good. The server had good knowledge of the beers, food, and was friendly. This is one of the best beer bars in the US. The Atlanta area is fortunate to have two killer beer bars, the other being the Brick Store Pub in Decatur.

The pretzels were burnt, the schnitzel was overfried, and the fish was a bit greasy. The deviled eggs were fine, but nothing particularly memorable. That said, aesthetically it is a great place with beautiful old architecture, solid service, and an amazing beer list.

Like the sign on the wall says... "I Was Hanging With My Hens"…read more This was my second visit here, and both times I've been completely blown away. The decor is absolutely beautiful -- it honestly felt like stepping into a swanky restaurant tucked away somewhere in Manhattan. I definitely was not expecting that kind of atmosphere. The staff is just as polished as the restaurant itself. Even while busy, they stayed attentive, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. The whole experience from start to finish was top tier. We led with one of the House Favorites, Fried Salmon Bites, they were fried to perfection and served with this delicious dipping sauce that wasn't spicy at all, which I loved. For the main course I ordered Lamb Chops, Mac and cheese and yams. The Lamp Chop dinner is $45. Although it says $39. on the online menu it was no problem at all because those lamb chops were worth every single bite. The lamb chops were seasoned very well and cooked to perfection. The Mac and cheese and the yams fell in well with the dinner. This is a meal I could eat every day. I will dine here for all my lamb chop cravings. The rest of the hens in my party ordered Grilled Shrimp and Grits and Carribean Salmon Pasta. My granddaughter enjoyed her cheese burger and fries. We enjoyed our experience here and will be back soon. There is plenty of easy parking outside.
