Service was rude as hell. I asked about two different alcohols to an Indian man sitting doing nothing. He said that there are two other registers open to help me. Those registers were open but had guests. I didn't realize asking for assistance to spend my hard earned money was bothersome. I put all of my items back and politely walked out. We were set spend at least $500 stocking up for our sorority mixer. I'm happy Tua happened before I referred my clients as their selection was good. For the last 10 years I have never had a less than pleasant experience at this location. But today this lady with the dreadlocks interrupted my sale, incorrectly priced my items after another cashier priced it correctly, and then tried to get flip lipped saying she never drank alcohol before. What does that have to do with knowing the products price or good customer service...nothing! Trying to micromanage other employees when she doesn't know what she is doing herself. This shop is awesome! They have such a large selection of alcohol, beer and wine. The store is very organized and clean. They have lots of exclusive tequilas. You name it and I'm pretty sure they have it. There are quite a few liquor stores that are much closer to me, but I'd rather travel here. This Bottle Shop is absolutely the best in our area. Tucked away in Conyers, GA - this place rocks. I do not drink - but I have to shop for events and such. All I have to do is walk in with the list given to me by the client and someone comes from behind the counter and fills my list for me. They are quick and efficient with fantastic customer service. The prices are great, and the selection is beyond great. I have ALWAYS found whatever my client wanted. They even box everything up and takes it out to my car for me!! I had a punk get in my face and I was called out by the shop ownership! The young man was parked in the fire zone in front of the shop and speeded through the parking lot like he owned it! I tapped on his window and told him he was parked illegally. When I went to checkout, the punk got in my face shouting profanities at me and I told him to back off! The owner accused me of being profane when it was this punk! This jerk was parked in the fire zone outside the shop. I am done with this establishment! The previous reviews weren't exaggerating about this place. Having just landed in Georgia for the first time and then requested by a friend to pick up significant amounts of alcohol before picking her up for the road trip, I was completely unsure if I could get every single item on the list in just one store. So I turned to yelp for suggestions and found SBS (which is funny considering that she told me later when we met up that SBS was her favorite store). I was stunned the moment I noticed the sheer selection available after walking in. I felt like I was in some form of liquor heaven. I could literally live here for the rest of my life before I could even dream of draining every single drop from the bottles out on the shelves. In fact, I got so lost trying to find all the items on the list my friend gave me. I mean, I've *never* heard of Wild Turkey Bourbon American Honey and having to look for it among all the random bottles was definitely an experience. I gave up 15 minutes in and decided to see how helpful the staff would be. The guy I talked to must be chewing on a significant amount of gum or tobacco since he pretty much helped me in a mime manner. I gave him the list and followed him around. Freaking cool of him. One of the owners came up and talked to me shortly and asked if I needed anything else. Chatted me up a bit, found out I'm not from the area, and made sure I got every single thing I possibly needed. Even grabbed a foam cooler from the storage so that I can keep my beers cold in the trunk for my drive up to Alabama. $165.00 out the wallet but completely happy that I got all the items on my list in one go. An absolutely fantastic selection of bourbons and whiskey at reasonable prices. I started running out of options at my local liquor store so I tried this place out from recommendations. It did not disappoint. I will say if you see a bottle you're interested in but might come back later and get it just go ahead and get it. There's a good possibility it won't be there when you come back. These guys are always friendly and are personable! Have not run into a instance yet where they don't have something we want. The price of stuff is also a little bit cheaper than the other liquor stores around. There is always a minimum of 5 people working so you never have to wait in line when purchasing! Are you kidding, the best liquor store period tucked away in little Ole conyers. They have everything and at very reasonable prices. My buddy from memphis likes this Irish vodka called "Boru" , well they had it and the 1.75 liter was only $17 !! They are always helpful and get you in and out. They have a large wine section and have cigars next door. Same ownership I'm sure. So to review : 1. Great selection of liquor and wine 2. Reasonable prices 3. Helpful staff, get you in and out 4. Store is very organized with lots of selections those known and unknown. I give it a 4 because no one offered to help myself nor another young man I saw walking aimlessly around the Scotch. It also seemed like a few people were hanging out in the store posted up on end caps but didn't work there. The parking lot was well lit (night visit) and the convenience of a close fast food spot is not a bad idea. Surprised at the variety that they have here. Great variety of Spanish wines - was able to find Cava and riojas that were great names and years. And I didn't even really glance at the liquors but the store is huge and the wines are only in half the store. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Inspired by Kathleen M's previous Beer thread, I decided to set out in search of some of the beer's people listed as favorites. For the longest I've been seeing this commercial in regards to a liquor store in my area. So, I decided to give it a try. Located in a plaza, the store didn't seem to big. However, once I stepped inside, my eyes went wide! They had a large selection of spirits, wines, and beers. I wiped the drool from my mouth when I was greeted by the nice security guard, who happened to look a little younger than the Crypt Keeper, but hey, the elderly need jobs to I guess. The staff in the store is extremely nice and helpful. One of the many cashiers asked if I needed help and encourage me to ask if I had any questions and to take my time. As I walked down the beer aisle, I pulled out my BlackBerry and began to read the thread. Another employee of the establishment was really helpful. I had him reading the thread on Yelp and he was pointing out where I could find the beers listed, lol. In the end, I chose Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA India Pale Ale, Bell's Expedition Stout, and one bottle of Hitachino Red Rice Ale. When I left, I saw the main guy that helped me standing outside. I discreetly tried to slip him a tip, but he gave it back to me. He simply said he was glad to help and said to come back. In today's world, great customer service is rarity. I'm sure glad they didn't, but they could have called this place Sigman Bottle Warehouse because they have just about everything you can imagine and the place is gigantic. Be sure to grab a cart as you walk in the door because you'll need it. You'll undoubtedly come across something you didn't even realize you wanted. The prices are a few dollars cheaper than some of the other liquor stores in the area and the selection is unparalleled. I was proud to see a strong contingent of Colorado beers from New Belgium Brewery as well as one of our favorite Colorado whiskeys, Leopold Bros. They currently have a Yelp check-in offer for $29.98 for a 750 ml Ciroc vodka. The employees are super nice and helpful. They made us feel welcome and genuinely appreciated our business. Don't let the shabby looking shopping plaza exterior scare you. This is definitely the place to stock up the bar so come give this local favorite some love. read more

They have a great selection and great prices, but owner could care less about you as a customer. The last two times I have been in store they have not had the center displays marked with pricing. They have about half of the items marked. The last time I said something about it they looked up price for me. Fast forward to 6 wks later and they still have the same problem. I asked to speak with the owner and he acted like he could care less what I thought would be helpful to patrons of his store. Told me to shop off the back isles of the store because they all had pricing. I think I will take my business elsewhere. BTW they used to not be this way in the old location. read more

I don't live anywhere near Sigman Bottle Shop but I will make the drive out to Rockdale county on special occasions just to visit this store. They have the best selection in Atlanta hands down and I'm willing to bet they even beat the selection at Tower in Buckhead. Sigman bottle always carries name brand and obscure spirits at a reasonable price. Recently, I had traveled to 4 different liquor stores looking for Iceman hard cider and sure enough when I made the trip out to SBS, they had it in stock! read more

This is the best liquor store in the known universe. SBS has, perhaps, the largest selection of beers in Atlanta, an excellent selection of wines, and enough spirits to keep one occupied for a long time. I'm particularly impressed by their selection of gins. Customer service is a top priority here. Cindy is fabulous, and has helped me on numerous occasions pick out an appropriate wine for the occasion. Rocky and the staff behind the counter are always friendly and polite, and take out service is included with large or bulky purchases. For me, there's Sigman Bottle Shop, and no one else! read more

Sigman Bottle Shop is one of my favorite wine stores in the country. The selection of varietals, regions, and vintages is hard to beat. Best of all, the prices are more than reasonable. Whether you're looking for a bargain bottle from an offbeat appellation or a cru classé Bordeaux, this place has what you need. I had heard rumors of a special liquor store somewhere OTP that bartenders were hesitant to reveal the exact location of. Years latter, I found myself deep in the bowels of Trader Vic's for a rum tasting seminar, where one of the hosts mentioned a place called Sigman Bottle Shop. Could this be the fabled package store? The only way to find out is to put the wheels to the blacktop and crank out the Van Halen (Diamond Dave Era obviously). I was pleased to find a trove of liquor that isn't readily available to me in my circuit of package stores. Being more of a rum flunky than a bourbon bro, I headed directly toward the rum section. Still high on the Halen buzz, I was ecstatic to find Plantation PANAMA 2004 rum. I had yet to try this bottling, but am always eager to expand on the Plantation Rum offerings beyond the typical Barbados 5 and other easily acquired bottles. It has this subtle floral note that I had never tasted in a rum before. I grabbed a handful of other bottles I'd been searching for as well. All though my hands were full, I decided to wander over to the whiskey section. Excellent selection as many people have pointed out. I almost had a nosebleed upon finding the enclosed glass case with all the hard to find stuff. I was kind of disappointed that they made you buy everything in a pre-set power pack. They grouped in bottles I was less enthusiastic about in order to buy the bottles we really wanted. Come on.... you really think I need a bottle of Whistle Pig if I'm buying a Thomas H Handy Sazerac rye? Get outta here. There's a reason there are all those amazing bottles on display... because it is not a good deal. That glass chamber whiffs of these ding dongs who collect bottles but don't drink them... and often resell them at second market prices. It really steams my clams! I latter heard that the extra money they make on those trophy bottles go to charity, but I have no idea if its true. I guess the hoarding is the only reason I am marking Sigman down to 4 stars. Definitely worth the trip if you don't live near by. Just remember to crank up the Halen. read more

Simply amazing. You don't expect to find anything worthwhile in Conyers, because well, it's Conyers. But being the beer geek that I am I looked up local places Friday night on the way to a party out in the sticks, and Sigman came up in the first few names on the list. Their website looks pretty well done, which prompted me to go search them out. I'm glad I did. Located on Sigman Road in a strip of businesses, it's not a big store front but well marked and lit. Parking is ample, and there's several entrances into the lot for ease of access. Inside, the not so small look gives way to a HUGE store, absolutely huge, easily as big as Tower Piedmont and maybe even more so. Vast aisles of wine and liquor abound, but the beer is why I went and goodnight was it worth it. There's little organization to it, it looks more like they just shelf what they get in where ever it will fit, so you do have to browse a good amount to find stuff. There's several coolers down one wall with a variety, but it's more macro stuff here with a scattering of craft beer. The shelves though are all craft, and there's even a far corner where it seems you can't even go because it's behind the counter, but it opens up into a cubbyhole full of beer and the majority of it is well dust covered from being hidden away. While this is a sign to watch out for, it's set up so there's limited light right on everything, and a lot of beer does well with age anyway. There's tons of stuff I've never seen in downtown Atlanta stores, stuff I missed out on when it was released in Atlanta, and even stuff that's no longer distributed anywhere in the Metro area. I found some Petrus with 2003 dates on it, and a few Lagunitas beers from 2008 and 2009 that were one-offs and no longer brewed. After filling a cart full one of the owners discussed his selection and strategy with me and let me know he had a few other gems behind the counter if I was so inclined, which I eagerly accepted. I dropped $160 without even a blink and could have tripled that had I not been reserved with my wallet, but plans are being made to go back soon. Awesome find. read more

Good wine selection though would be great if they cycled over & introduced new choices at a quicker clip. Seen some great single-malt specials as well. Was chatting with a salesperson (she must have been more senior, or a manager) about some wine or other and she was talking up a particular bottle, must have been the last one left and in an effort to move it, offered me a few more bucks off the marked price. Didn't end up getting it, but the congenial atmosphere was nice. They have a case discount - would be nice if they followed others offering a half-case discount as well. read more
