Love a good glass of wine, and the concept here is beautiful, you can grab wine or beer, and also build your own floral bouquet to take home (hence the name). Such a unique little idea. The space itself is comfortable, bright, and airy, and everyone is so friendly. It's the kind of spot where you see locals chatting with each other while visitors like us feel just as welcome. Great energy all around. Food-wise, the snacks are a highlight. We had olives marinated with rosemary, a flavor combo we never would've thought of, but it was fantastic. Could've eaten those all day. We also had the brie, which was delicious (didn't try it with the hot honey this time, but that's an option too). I found out about Cork & Stem (C&S) while searching on Eventbrite for a NYE party. Come to find out the owner is also from the East Coast so we had a chance to ring in the New Year twice. I instantly loooved the friendly vibes when it was our first time there and didn't realize that it was brand new to the neighborhood. Everyone there was down-to-earth! And fast forward, C&S put out all kinds of events and I've joined in on the fun festivities like Happy Hour Bingo...Flower Vase Decorating Party just to name a few. Really can't say enough good things about this place. $10 Happy Hour bouquets, a great selection of wines and frozen bevvies, delicious bites, and the warmest owner and staff. Celebrated my birthday here and they had a long communal table set up for us. We had a few bottles to share and bomb flatbreads (of which the pesto was the crowd fave), along with a baked Brie that people couldn't get enough of, and a lovely selection of meats, cheeses, nuts and fruits on their charcuterie board. It happened to also be happy hour which meant $10 bouquets and it couldn't be simpler: 1 Focal, 2 accent, and 3 greens/fillers All wrapped up in brown parchment (they even wrapped the stems in wet paper towels since we had another stop before heading home), and finish off with a cute wine charm of your choice. I came here for an event a few months back and immediately fell I love, and planned to comeback soon. They had their 2 year anniversary so my friend and I decided to stop by and celebrate with them. Omg! Such a fun night they had the whole place decked out and specials as well. They had fresh popcorn, face painting and photo ops to help celebrate as well as wine and food specials. I love the idea of making your own bouquet of flowers as I love fresh flowers. The staff are always so welcoming, kind and seem to genuinely love their job. What a delightful spot! Flowers, wine and girl time? Perfect. We went on a Wednesday (pro tip: all night happy hour) with 5 of us. We ordered two bottles of the house cab and two boards for $70 total. Super cute concept for a wine bar. It's a small, intimate space but wasn't busy at all when we came on a Friday night. We opted for the wine flights (a must in my opinion) and enjoyed the "Bartender's Choice" of pours. Server was knowledgeable about the wines which I always appreciate. They also had a basic selection of shareable food bites & the pesto flatbread hit the spot. I thought the bouquet building option was also a cute touch. I went to hear comedy. Comedians were great thr evening was fun. They repeated at least 4 times two items minimum. We complied and ordered a charcuterie board and 2 drinks. I hot my bill and it was over 70.00. I thought samm. Ir asked for a tip and I added tip I thought they asd ny friends drinks. Well at the end of the night my friend asks for her bill. She gave her her bill. I questioned about mine and she says 20% tip is automatically added. I said I added tip. She said you gave an extra tip. That was horrible service surely didn't deserve over 20% tip especially when I had to go to counter to order. Never go back. They have some lounge seating in the front, a bar that you can sit around and then more of an event space/flower making area in the back. I finally checked out Cork & Stem for a friend's birthday celebration last week Saturday. The birthday boy and his fiancé are friends with the owner, Jen, who is lovely. The space she created is absolutely wonderful! She reserved the back area for the party. We were able to decorate the space with balloons and streamers and confetti. The birthday boy arrived and was totally surprised. It was the best! The food that was ordered from the venue was a great variety and was delicious! I didn't even realize I was hungry until I smelled the fresh bread of the flatbread pizzas. We all noshed and raved about all of the things we were shoving into our faces. The wine! My friend selected four wines to be served: a red, a rose, a chard, and a bubbly. I tried each of them and they were all good but my favourite was the rose which isn't like me. That's one of maybe three roses that I've liked...ever. We enjoyed each other's company and removed our debris so they could close at 9 PM. We've been regulars at Cork and Stem ever since they took over the former Record Family Wines space, and it's been a fun journey getting to watch them transform this space. The space has been beautifully reimagined, and the vibe is incredibly welcoming. One thing that really stands out is the kindness and grace the owner and staff bring to every interaction (whether positive and negative) it's genuinely heartwarming and something the world could use more of. The wine menu is thoughtfully curated and evolves with the seasons, while still keeping a few favorites on hand. For those who aren't into wine, there are great options such as beer, kombucha, and even a dealcoholized sparkling rosé. The food offerings hit all the right notes for a wine bar: flatbreads, sandwiches, shareable apps, and of course, cheese and charcuterie boards that pair perfectly with your glass.
