A great home furnishing store which understands its customer base is relatively broke college…read morestudents. I started looking for a mattress when I discovered the one I purchased off Craigslist sounded like an elephant trying to give birth to a dragon every time I attempt to even sit on it. I was afraid a new mattress would cost me upwards $300 with a box spring adding at least an extra $50. After searching google maps for a place to find a replacement, Higgonsons popped up as the closest. I went to their website and saw they had a full mattress+boxspring set for $199. This blew me away and I knew it would probably be awful. However I decided to give them a call to see their other offers. I got on the phone and asked, and lo-and-behold they had mattresses from $199 up to $600+. However they had several under $300. I went into the store and a woman at the front desk showed me to all of their mattresses. I couldn't believe it: the $229 set was amazing! For the price I thought I was going to melt and it was double sided to boot! Not only that, but they had free delivery for back to school! It's normally free delivery on orders above $300 anyway, but this was very special all the same. The four stars is for their selection outside mattresses and some couches. I don't think I would furnish my home here, but for mattresses, you can't beat it! Also recommend going in to see the rest of their products. Your tastes may be different than mine!

Cliff Notes Version: They lost the bed they talked us into and later sold us, rush ordered a new…read moreone, then we waited the extra week, the bed didn't show up when it was supposed to and we were told "we normally don't cancel orders like this but fortunately this is an item we won't have an issue selling so we can cancel this if you would like us to." Didn't make us feel valued at all for such a big purchase...we ended up canceling. Novel Version: We went to purchase a brand new bed and based on recommendations for excellent customer service, we chose Higginson's. Upon deciding on a bed, the associate told us we could get their last King in the previous model for a closeout price and they'd deliver it on Tuesday (we ordered on a Friday). We signed papers, decided to finance, and got excited! Tuesday came and we get a call saying they cannot find the bed they worked so hard to sell us and they offered to "waive the haul away fee for the old bed, deliver after hours, rush order a new bed, deliver after hours, and gave us 7% discount." We waited a few days and they called us to say they placed the order with the distributor but their stock was 2-days out from them being able to ship it (by this point, we're at 1.5 weeks bed-less) so we waited...Friday comes around (2 weeks bed-less) and we get the FedEx tracking # and it should be delivered Wednesday (YAY!)...so, Wednesday comes and the tracking # isn't showing anything. We call Higginson's and they don't have it and it's too late to call over to the East Coast so we'll have to wait until the next day *insert comment from above about cancelling orders*. They called us back the next day (2 weeks bed-less) and told us the bed never shipped and that they could get it in withing 5-7 business days...we ended up cancelling and closing our finance account with them - was so excited and ended up being so bummed out and disappointed.

10000% would not recommend!! I dropped my wedding dress and veil off in July, two days after my…read morewedding, to the Moscow location. I was told it would be done around mid-September. I received a phone call around the end of August quoting me a price of roughly $270 to clean my dress and veil, which I confirmed was fine. My dress had 5 layers, so I had already figured it would cost a bit because of the time needed to clean. At that point, I thought, they are confirming the price, they are going to start cleaning it. I called again in mid-September and was told they off source their wedding dresses and the lady who cleans them had been sick so there was a delay. Called again in October and was told it still wasn't done and they needed to contact the lady who cleans them to figure out what was going on. They stated it could be taking longer if there were stains that needed to be deep cleaned - mind you, there were no stains on my dress, just dirt and bugs from an outside wedding. At that point, I was in a panic that perhaps my dress and veil had been lost. I asked them to just get the dress back, I would pick it up and take it elsewhere as they have had it for 3 months already. When they called me back, they stated she hadn't gotten to it yet, but they could start that day and have it done and return it to me by the next Monday, and they would give me a discount (kudos to them for offering that). I declined and said I would just like to come and get it and take it elsewhere. A few days later, I received a phone call saying that my dress and veil had been returned to the store and I could come and pick it up. When I got there, I opened the garment bags to check for any damage. I was then told by the associate that the lady who cleans them said, she just couldn't clean my dress. This business does nothing but lie to you. Why would you quote me a price and keep my items for 3 months, if you weren't able to clean it. The first time you looked at my items, you should have determined then that you couldn't clean it and asked me to take it elsewhere. Nothing but lies and unprofessionalism!
