I'm in town on business for a few weeks and have been trying different local restaurants. Unfortunately, this was by far the most disappointing experience. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant appeared dirty and poorly maintained. The dining area looked run-down, and the overall cleanliness was concerning. The food preparation and presentation were subpar, and the staff appeared disorganized and slow. The kitchen was visible from our table, and it did not appear to be clean or well-kept. After only a few bites of our meals, we decided to throw the food away and leave. This restaurant came highly recommended, which made the experience even more disappointing. Been coming here for years. I don't expect the place to be high end, but my recent visit was so very disappointing. So many things....to start, my wife and I stood at the counter, alone, for about 3 minutes before we were acknowledged. A few young workers moved about behind the line without so.much as a 'we'll be right with you'. Instead, our first greeting after standing there for 3 minutes was 'we only have enough chicken for 1 order unless you want to wait 10-15minutes'. Ok, so the next words we heard were, 'we don't have any steak either'. Luckily, my wife was ok with a meatless salad so we thought we would stay. 2 very young ladies came out from the back and looked at us like we had 3 eyes each. Finally, we were asked what we would like. I will say that these girls were pleasant and did ok, but as I am awaiting my entree I couldn't help but look at the mess all around the line. Mind you this is Wednesday evening about 5:30pm. No line, a few tables sat in the dining room. No steak, no chicken, messy line and I look around the dining room, probably twice as many empty dirty tables than tables sat. Just wasn't the best visit. A nice location of the Corelife chain. This is conveniently (or perhaps inconveniently) located on West Ridge Road near the mall, so the parking lot shared with Petco and Party City can get hectic. Ingredients are fresh (minus a couple of icky salad leaves today), and they have a variety of fun fountain drinks like cranberry cayenne lemonade and fig & vanilla iced tea. There is ample seating and it's always seemed clean whenever I'm here. We love all of the healthy ingredients and we share the large bowl mixed with tofu and the miso sesame ginger vinaigrette. The berry smoothie is our favorite. I usually go to Henrietta. But I've been here twice and both times I have been disappointed. They seem to be inconsistent with their portioning. It's always not enough base (greens) and then too much dressing, which makes for a gross soggy salad. The staff does not greet you or say bye, they just ask basic questions and then that's it. It comes off as very unwelcoming. The cafe has had spills, crumbs on the tables, and ripped seats both times I have gone. I would rather make the troop to henrietta each time I want CoreLife instead of going to this location which is most convenient to me, being that I am in the Hilton region. My girls and I are following Weight Watchers, and it's a little difficult to find good salads out there. I usually love going here (Brighton or Henrietta location!) because the food is healthy and almost always delicious, however I do not understand why the chicken is always burnt! There is flakes of char in my bowl almost every time and it completely destroys the flavor of the dish as it gets mixed in, and unfortunately it's unavoidable. Aside from that, the customer service is absolutely horrendous. I have never been somewhere where the line moves slower than the employees at CoreLife. The managers stand around and do nothing while the new employees learn the many combinations of dishes and struggle. Do better PLEASE! read more

Had a quick dinner here tonight and was pleasantly surprised. I was looking up yelp for something healthy and close to the hotel, and CoreLife showed up. I decided to give it a try. Since I'm in the mood for healthy light dinner, I ordered the broth bowl. Just like what the other Yelper said, it's like a chipotle for salads and soups. I customized my mushroom and tofu broth bowl with the addition of steak (with a fee, can't remember how much) and instead of veggie broth, I have mine in the chicken broth. They assemble your bowl right in front of you, and then they dump everything into a boiling pot for a little bit. After it's cooked, they take out the solids and put it in a bowl and add the broth right there. The broth tasted pretty good. It has a little kick to it thanks to the sprouts they put in there. Tofu has great flavor, but the steak is not so good. Next time I'd probably do double tofu for the protein. I also tried cucumber basil lemongrass lemonade and the beef lemonade. The cucumber lemonade tasted a little like cough syrup at first , but it gets better after you take a few sips. The beet lemonade however was surprisingly good! I actually filled my cup with it before I leave. It doesn't taste beety at all, just a hint of it. Very good! If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely come back for a health meal. read more

My first experience at CLE was during a Yelp Elite Event a couple months prior, but now that I have had an "anonymous" experience at one of their locations I feel more comfortable about writing a review. Be forewarned, I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and seeing the ins and outs of the business so this might be a little bias. Nonetheless, I really appreciate the cuisine and business model of CLE and I'm happy to see they have another location opening near my usual gym. So onto this Greece Location, feasibly placed on W. Ridge road and accessible from the mall or directly heading eastbound. The layout is almost 100% similar to Webster's when it comes to design, ordering logistics, and seating arrangements. The amount of outside seating might be less, but given that they're right next to a Petco would prefer to sit here and enjoy people walking their puppies and kittens. It's a personal bonus for me. This time around I tried out their Southwest Chicken with Wild Rice blend. The chicken had a good flavor to it, despite being light. This place shies away from adding salt, artificial flavors or colors so what you see if what you get. And it's GOOD. I didn't even need the vinaigrette; the dish was great in itself. Very filling, but also not guilt-inducing! Accompanying my meal was the fresh brewed Cranberry Cayenne Lemonade. It's lightly sweet and perfectly tart with a spice finish that doesn't distract you from eating your meal. I loved it. When the Henrietta location opens up, I'll be eating there and trying new dishes. Darn it CLE, HOW DARE you make me cheat on my post-workout Chipotle meal... ...But chances are I will be pigging out with you. Let's keep this between us, shall we? read more

Not only did the people working here look like they hated their lives, but the prices were not proportionate to the amount of food you get. My meal was pretty pricey, and I was given the most scant amount of chicken. I was scared to ask for more, in fear of being charged double what I'd already paid. My salad was extremely tasteless...I sort of expected the food here to be somewhat bland, since the concept is healthy eating, but holy cannoli. Don't be so afraid of seasonings and spices! You can see all the ingredients and it's all fresh etc. the process is pretty fast. The results should be similar to the salads I used to love in NYC. This visit I had one of the noddle dishes. Waaaaay to many noodles. Not nearly enough protein, and no, this isn't an unreasonable request. There were 6 pieces of chicken. 6. Small pieces. Seriously? For +-$10? But there were plenty of noodles. I think this concept is great. But the ratios seem a little off to me sometimes. This location had plenty of great inside seating. I have ordered the broth bowls- essentially a big soup bowl with veggies and choice of meat (if wanted). I like the ginger flavor dishes - can't get enough of them! Also have gotten the noodle dishes- kind of the same stuff but with noodles as the base. We stick to whatever usually comes in the menu item and get out of there for under $20- a steal! A tip from a friend who ordered an item and added some a la carte items- it jacks up the price- she referred to it as her $12.00 salad- so choose sparingly! This is definitely my go-to spot for a lunch stop while I'm working. It seems like it might be everyone's because the line gets really long around 12PM. I've tried many menu items but my favorite is the BBQ Chicken Ranch bowl. The flavors are so amazing. I also enjoy the Steak and Bleu bowl. I am not a huge fan of their soups, I usually stick with salads. Their juice options though are amazing. I always bring a glass to go with me after I am done munching. Staff are mostly friendly. I ran into a snotty one once when I ordered to go and didn't know where to pick up my food. Can I just get a side order of those "to go"? They have a huge selection of juice/vegetable blends. Out of town for business, I was in the mood for a salad but didn't want any old salad so I "Yelped" and found this place. I was reluctant at first since it was counter-style versus a casual sit-down type restaurant, which is what I typically do for dinner. However, as part of all of our New Year resolutions, I wanted to lose some holiday weight so salad and counter service it is. The décor is very nice for this style of restaurant. You move down the line and tell the server what you want or you can select a specific type and they prepare it for you. The ingredients were the freshest I have seen. They have a few vegan dishes (soup and salad) so I ordered one of each. The flavors were really good, but what surprised me the most was the Beet Lemonade. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I said Beet Lemonade...and it was very tasty. The portions were huge so I ended up eating the salad and a few bites of soup before I got a to go container for it. I've been to one of these places before for a pre-grand opening in webster. I was on the fence about it then but was willing to give it another shot. I went to the Greece one today and this will be my last time going to any of them. I have multiple issues. 1. The only person who smiled or looked like they enjoyed being there was the young lady who cashed me out. 2. I ordered the make your own greens and a small tomato soup. For your choice of 2 of kale spinach Romaine etc. .. and 4 toppings, it is 5.95. It sounds okay until you start adding anything else. I added avocado and they charged 1.25 which I completely understand. I also understood when they charged me $3 to add chicken ( portion looked to be about 2 ounces at most)... but when they charge for cheese up to a 1.25 depending on what you get... is not cool. They charge you for an egg they charge. you for a parmesan crisp, they charge you for anything else that you put in that bowl and a lot of it costs over a dollar. 3. I payed 19.00 for a small soup and a salad. I can get a full dinner of sushi with soup salad for the same price. So if I come with my boyfriend we're going to end up paying $40 to eat at this place?? I don't think so 4. They put my crispy parmesan crisp in my TO GO bowl of soup. When I got home it was no longer crispy. Ugh. 5. I asked for my dressing on the side. They gave me NO dressing in my to go, so I had to go back to get it. The salad was fine and I love the tomato soup but not for the amount that they charge. I can and I do make similar or better salads for a lot less money (no I'm not looking for a job). I understand some of the premium charges but you should have unlimited veggies and free cheese. Plus, I'm a broke nursing student. I'm not surprised people in America can't afford to eat healthy and end up going to fast food places. Sadly underwhelmed with this place. Everything is very low calorie, which is great, except for when you need calories to survive. (sorry, i'm still a little hangry). Fantastic service! Helped explain all my options and how customizing your own bowl or salad works. I ended up with the mushroom and tofu soup bowl. The only negative part of the meal was that you had the flavors of the veggies and tofu, and then you had the flavor of the broth. Both were good separately, but it's always nice when one compliments the other, usually when they have been steeping together. I noticed in the preparation process, the veggies and tofu are steamed. Would be interesting to incorporate the broth (maybe just a little bit) into the steaming process...? Just a thought. Highly recommend to other people, but did not work for my dietary needs. Hopefully some higher calorie options can be created, or I might make my own bowl next time. read more

It's become a dumpster with people who do not care. The dining room is filthy. You can't find a clean table. There was food and receipts all over the floor behind the line. The food line itself is a mess. Food from one bin is dropped into another bin, so you end up with stuff in your salad you didn't order. My southwestern bowl had bits of broccoli in it when it's not supposed to. You used to be able to eat gluten free here, but not since they added flour tortillas and touch the scoops to the tortilla and then back into the bins. I've even had bits of other foods in the macaroni and cheese. No one being careful here. It is very obvious the people here don't care about you or your order. They are not friendly, barely speak to you, rush you through the line quickly and often ignore your requests. I ordered a combo, so should have been a bowl and a side. They made the bowl, slapped it on the line and then and ran off. So no side. I asked for glove change due to allergy before they started making it, but they ignored me. To make the experience all the more horrific, my friend got a Teriyaki Chicken bowl and found an ANT in it! I will not go back now. Whoever runs this place either doesn't care or needs to hire employees who are property trained in customer services, and providing a clean establishment. read more

Anybody who is a true-to-themselves human being knows how difficult (impossible) it can be to crave a salad. Random assemblages of leaves have never brought anything to the table for me or, more importantly, my taste buds. CoreLife changed that and, in turn, changed the game. Anything you order - green, grain, or broth bowls - is tasty and fresh, and you can feel the goodness and sunshine moving through your tumm tumm with each downed bite. Even better, the always friendly staff will let you sample or substitute whatever your soon-to-be-salad-loving heart desires, especially if you ask kindly. I've found that you can get the most out of your re-fillable fountain drinks by mixing any of their many flavors of lemonade and tea for a makeshift Arnold Palmer. Free bread with each meal also yields a gold star in my book, but it could maybe be improved by slicing as needed instead of having each slice pre-sliced. Moist bread is good bread. The new location on West Ridge Road is great. It's in the former Panera Bread Location between the pet store and Party City. Just like the location in Webster, this location is fast, friendly, and the food is healthy. I went to the opening, and the got the Thai Chicken Noodle Bowl and was happy with it. I really liked the cashew dressing. When the weather isn't too hot, I am going to go back in for soup. The tomato soup is FANTASTIC! A healthy option like this on the west side has long been needed.
