Helga helped me find new frames and explained in detail how much my insurance would cover. Every person I came in contact with was friendly and helpful. Really wanted to like this place as the staff was very sweet. It took the optometrist three times to get my prescription right.... And the final time was me literally giving him my old prescription from my old doctor because he just could not get it right... When my contacts finally came in the mail I could only laugh because he got it wrong AGAIN. Correct prescription but he got the eyes switched (luckily I had a copy of my old prescription and checked so I have to remember to put the left contacts in my right eye and vice versa). Not really sure what's going on since he does have some great older reviews, maybe it's time to retire ?? Super bummed as I will have to continue to drive all the way to LA again because I cannot find a decent doctor in SCV. read more

Me and my daughter always come her to get prescription glasses since she was 3 yrs old.I get my prescription glasses her and paid more than $500 no complain because that's how it is.And now my daughter is 8 yr old and she needed a new priscription to get her a new pair of glasses but when i called this office to inquire and asked them if they accept our insurance the lady answered me super fast "we are no longer accepted that mentioning my insurance" and NOT even asking anything first before rejected it.It was like lightning and that's it were done talking.Very dissapointed. read more

I would give more stars if I could. I am so grateful to Dr. Joshua Corben for making me the perfect prescription for my glasses! He made some adjustments that have never been made to my glasses before and I can see SO much better now. Then to top it off, they have Helga to help pick out the frames. She picked out my frames last year and they were perfect, but I wanted something new this year. She really has a good eye and wants you to look great in glasses, and she did a wonderful job picking out the best frames for my face. I was able to get an appointment for the very next day, which is unheard of!! There is plenty of parking infront and all of the staff were friendly and professional! They accepted all of my eye coverage insurances and walked out w/a pair of driving sunglasses and reading/computer glasses both using my current frames and they did not bat an eye when I asked to use my frames! Very efficient staff and good opto practice. A mess the other optometrists in the area created, corben was able to solve in a week's time. Long story - went to valencia optometry and tried to get my glasses for 8 weeks. The jokers couldnt get a normal glasses to a frame i already bought on amazon for 8 weeks. They keep sending the frame to someone else for the fitting and those other ppl are even crap who couldn't do a normal job. After 8 weeks i dint have glasses and was struggling with 10 year old spares. Went to corben with the same frame and these folks were able to get my glasses in less than a week. They even cleaned up the insurance hold the other useless jokers valencia optometrists left. They have a lens fitter in the practice itself which helped speed up the process. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of my exam and how the doctor took the time to address my genetic predisposition to age-related macular degeneration. When my son needed a specialty contact lens, due to his severe astigmatism, we were told by our previous contact lens specialist that this was a difficult lens and we would be hard pressed to find ANYONE in the Santa Clarita Valley who would fit him with these lenses. I found Corben Optometry, who not only fit the lenses perfectly but also took our vision care insurance. I cannot tell you how much I can recommend this establishment. I have an eye disease called Keratosis which requires me to wear hard contacts. It has taken me years to find a local Optometrist who can help me with my vision. This office was able to help me and went above and beyond the call of duty to help me! I've been coming here for years and so has my mother who blessed me with my terrible eyes. Both her and I have never had a bad experience coming here. Even when they are busy, I never seem to have to wait very long. Dr. Corben is a fantastic guy and extremely smart. The issue with some of these other reviews is that they don't know how to communicate with the doctor exactly what they need for their eyes. Finding the right prescription starts with you, not the doctor! The doctor can't see what you're seeing. If you got a bad prescription, it's because you didn't explain to him what you needed correctly. read more

OK I've been going here for like 20 years And I'm finally writing a review. Dr. Michael and Dr. Josh have given me and my entire family the best eye care the whole time. I'm finally writing because my young daughter has a well documented history of eye infections. What Dr. Corben's office did to make sure her care went uninterrupted during such a crazy time was SO ABOVE AND BEYOND. I'm taking like video consultations after hours in redone to an emergency line call from a panicked mom. I highly recommend Corbin Optometry, my kids and I have been their patients for many years now. The staff are super friendly and the doctors make you like family members not just patients. The selection of glasses are great to choose from and the staff are very professional and efficient at what they do. My appointment was the last one at the end of the day ..... I thought I had to rush out the door so everyone can go home, but to my surprise I was told to take my time on selecting the frame that I'm most comfortable with. That was a big deal for me! First time visit and I was impressed. Customer service and professionalism from employees was great! I was also impressed of the wide selection of glass frames (prescription and non prescription) CO has. I've visited other optometrist and I've always gotten "sorry we don't carry that brand" or "we can't order that model" but CO was able to get me what I wanted. Worst spot ever! Dont come here! Very discriminatory against Medi Cal patients! Staff is a joke! Made an appointment a month prior didnt take me in because i was from medical and "couldnt find my name in the system " . Then i had my insurance call them and all of a sudden they found it and cant see me until 5 months from now . Which was a total lie, I have never experienced this in my life. What a waist of my time. Alexis was extremely nice and provided me with an awesome experience during my visit. When I dropped off my glasses, Alexis took my number and told me she would call me when my glasses were repaired. Before I made it back home, she called to inform me that my glasses were ready for pick up. Overall my experience was great.
