Corato II, has one of the best fried Calamari in the area. They have the BEST Connolis period! The pizza is very good classic New York style. The service is always efficient for small or large groups. Definitely recommend a visit, and try the connolis while here to test what I'm saying! PS. The flan is nice too. read more

Overall, the flavors are there, but we find the crust a bit on the thinner side, maybe because they made it that way so each slice us easier to fold. Who knows. I got a small rainbow ice for one dollar and some change. They have about six flavors, including rainbow (my favorite) and cherry (my second favorite). Sad to give this review. This is following my most recent order from Corato 2. I ordered through Grubhub for pickup and showed up within minutes of it being "ready". My family and I were so excited to dig in as this is usually our favorite pizzeria. We were shocked at the state of the pizza. The crust was limp and stale, the cheese was congealed and floppy and the pepperoni had pools of grease starting to settle. The state of the pizza was abysmal. The sort of shit that way have passed as OK in bumfuck Kansas. We called the pizzeria to address the fact that they gave us an old pizza that was clearly sitting around for a while. The woman who picked up the phone copped an attitude the moment she realized we were not calling with an order. After some unnecessary back and forth, eventually the guy who made the pizza got on the phone and was a rude, smug, condescending bull faced liar. Them being rude as fuck is nothing new. That's kind of their MO. It's something we let slide so long as their pizza is fresh and delicious. But y'all can't be douches and have shit pizza. Not gonna fly. read more

Writing this review mainly so that I can remember what I thought of the pizza! Overall, I wasn't a fan. I ordered the gluten free pizza and I found the crust to have an unpleasant taste. I've been gluten free for over 7 years now and have tasted a ton of pizzas...there are some great ones out there. This one tasted like it maybe had too much of a specific flour in it, or maybe was only made up of one specific flour (like just tapioca or something). The upsides to the pizza were that the crust had a nice crispness to it and the pepperoni was flavorful. The cheese for some reason, wasn't as great as I think it could have been, it definitely did not help make up for the flavor of of the crust. They need to work on their flour blend. It was edible but I will not be ordering from here again. My girlfriend ordered a regular pizza and she said it was okay, but was way overpriced. She rated her pizza at a 3/5. So based on the price, the disappointment of the gluten free pizza and the average-ness of the regular pizza, I'd say they get a 2 or 2.5 out of 5. read more

Great staff in my experience always accommodating. One of the guys always remembers my typical order. The pizza is sold classic Brooklyn/queens pizza. On par w what I grew up with in a very Italian neighborhood. I love their non pizza items also - specifically their simple pasta and broccoli dish- really hits the spot when so much in the area is a pile of fried grease. May I just say...VERY reasonable price for what you get. Generous with toppings and the pie sizes are much bigger than the norm. My boyfriend and I ordered a large because we were pretty hungry and are used to the smaller sized pies, like the ones you get at Roberta's. (Not hating.. luv u Roberta's!) ABSOLUTELY THE WORST!!! First off, I have had Caesar salads and I have had amazing Caesar salads. I have never had a Caesar salad that was not only gross but tasted nothing like a Caesar salad... until now. Then I had a slice of Sicilian. They cut it into 12 pieces instead of 9. I thought it might be a large pie. Turns out it's a small pie, and each cheap-o slice is the size of a Stouffer's pizza bread slice (you know, the size of a slice of a baguette). Nonetheless, I should be happy as it tasted lame. The worst was the regular cheese pie. I have lived in L.A. since 1994 and had some of the worst pizza imaginable. This pie is as bad as the worst I've had in L.A. Maybe as bad as Domino's before they tried to re-hype their image. And that should be the greatest insult of all to a New York pizzeria. Fighting words. Unfortunately, it's the God's honest truth. Avoid at all costs. Corato Pizza 2 is a very clean restaurant, with a big seating area, and has a nice, warming atmosphere. At the back is the kitchen and the front cashier where you order your food. You can order from the menu, or point to what dish you want from the display case. I ordered a Cheese Calzone for $4.50, and my friend ordered a Stuffed Spinach Slice for around $3 and 6 powdered Zeppole for $1.65. We waited about 10 minutes for them to finish baking our orders and then sat down to eat. The Cheese Calzone was very large, and was gushing with cheesy goodness. My only complaint was that the crust was too thin to hold all the molten cheese, so it quickly broke. You definitely need to eat this dish with a knife and fork. The Stuffed Spinach Slice was as good. The ration between the spinach and cheese was perfect. There were equal amounts of spinach and cheese, and the crust was able to hold everything together. The Zeppole was delightful. It was covered with powdered sugar and was sweet. The texture of the Zeppole was soft, but still a bit crunchy. Good prices, adequate portions, clean space, and lots of seating. read more

My wife and I were regulars here for almost a year before we moved out of the neighborhood. The guys that work here are really friendly and there is literally nothing on the (large) menu that isn't worth trying. We would often order two slices of pizza (either sicilian, plain, or veggie) and two draft beers (cheaper than bottled) and wait for a larger item that we'd share (like pasta puttanesca, pasta with vodka sauce, or a garden salad with house dressing). It's also open late and they deliver (tip: you can read them your credit card on the phone if you're low on cash). Be patient, be nice, and enjoy being around good people and good italian food. Note: credit card minimum=$25, but they will be flexible if its around $20. EDIT: it's becoming obvious that most of the negative reviews here are confusing this location with the other (busier, similarly named) location. Restaurant accepted my order through seamless but never delivered. I get a call from Seamless 2 hours after I placed my order saying restaurant is closed. If closing why accept my order (I ordered at 7:15 and says restaurant is open til 10:30). The fact that no one called to cancel and let me starve is beyond unprofessional. Get the grilled chicken salad! It comes with a homemade Italian dressing that is absolutely delicious. I eat it at least twice a week if not more. Pizza is better than most in the area, thought a tad bit more expensive, but overall, compared to whats around, its a safe bet to get it here. Chicken rolls are great as well. :) read more

Just paid over $6 for two slices of pizza which is bad enough but they were burnt to a crisp, both the top and bottom, and covered in grease. To make up for this, there was hardly any sauce, if there was any at all. Make sure you look at what they give you before you pay a dime for this slop. read more
