This appears to be a new Cora location. My family has been to Cora's other locations before and was always pleased.
This new location still has tasty food but the service staff is quite inexperienced. When we ate there this weekend, they refused to add a couple of chairs to a table to accommodate our party of 8, citing fire regulations. We ended up sitting at 2 tables, splitting our party.
My 1 year old nephew got antsy and was not comfortable and we wanted to sooth him by feeding him some of our own food, but the wait staff had the nerve to ask my sister-in-law to wait to get the OK from the manager first!!! I couldn't believe it! Is the Soup Nazi running this place?!!
On top of that, I ordered eggs over-medium (I even made a point to explain it to the waitress before hand what it should look like) and it still came out runny just like it was over-easy. This is a basic cooking technique but they couldn't get it right.
Otherwise the rest of the food was still tasty, the fruits were fresh, the decor is country like all the other Cora's, and the washrooms are clean.
In the end though, it's quite obvious the staff got trained very well on corporate policy but they aren't sophisticated enough to figure out how to apply it delicately to the customers yet. We've never had problems with other Cora's in the GTA, so unfortunately this one is the worst I've been to. read more
