George is the most amazing floral artist and his kindness is inimitable!! I am so grateful that he has his store in town!!! Thank you George for every family moment you have made special by your art!! I feel compelled that I must also recognize George's incredible generosity. I ran for office in town and when I lost he sent me the most beautiful bouquet to recognize my efforts for running even after I lost(and he had also let me post my signs on his storefront out of true kindness). The first day I met him; he was using all his creative talents to create the most beautiful blue rose accent (in a very specific shade)for a prom dress whose mother could not afford to pay for(I think he was only asking for an exceptionally reasonable price of $10). I remember the mom stating that she had been to 5 other florists prior to Coqui and George was the only one willing to help her. And when she declared after that she wasn't able to pay; George was so kind and considerate and determined to maintain her dignity. I remember he said come back whenever you can and that's fine. He knew the mother just wanted to make her daughter happy on her prom day and that is all he truly cared about. He is a true humanitarian and again, we just feel so lucky and grateful that we live in the same town. P.S. I wanted something that was out of the box and so NOT funeral to reflect the personality and lifestyle of my loved one and George at Coqui created a wispy woodland wonderland complete with fairy, tree branches, ferns and butterflies that was truly breathtaking. The funeral directors stopped to comment and told me that delivering florists to the funeral home wanted to know "who" the florist was as they had never seen anything like it. George asked for my budget number and then ran with the creation. I may have spent more than a traditional arrangement would have cost, but I got what I paid for and so much more than I'd imagined. He even wrapped the roots of some of the ferns with moss so that I could remove them afterwards and keep some of the plants as keepsakes. A floral arrangement from Coqui is a beautiful and unique work of art. I would not have imagined that ordering flowers for such a somber occasion could have been fun, but George was engaging, empathetic, inspiring and his professional opinion was very much appreciated. read more

I visited this florist on April 11, 2016. This is the best florist I have EVER done business with. I called in my order, told the florist my price range and went to pick up my flowers when I left work. I was so amazed at the depth of skill and professionalism with which this man handles his business. He kept his customers entertained while he attended to my orders and WOW, my floral arrangement could easily be used as a spread in any high end magazine! It was my mom's birthday and after I arrived home with her flowers, she remarked that it must have cost over $200 (it did not) and that it was the best gift she has ever received. I gotta say hands down the best florist I have ever stepped foot in! It's not only the amazingly beautiful flowers and arrangements that are so unique but the customer service is top notch. George is awesome and every time I've come in he treats me like family. One thing that stands out to me is that he remembered the flowers I previously brought from him and asked how did my mom like them. I was looking to order twelve table center pieces for my grandparent's 60th anniversary party and a friend suggested Coqui Design, after having attended a wedding where they did the flowers. My family has used George for the third time each time was better than the last! He is easy to work with VERY creative and makes sure that everything look phenomenal and not cheap! I can not even begin to tell you all the compliments we recieved about how gorgeous the flowers were. There were not boring, they were colorful and did not even wilt all day! Recently I received a gift from someone who bought a Lampe Berger Designer Lamp from a store in NYC for my birthday, but it didn't go with my décor. George's floral design sense is nonpareil! I came to his shop for a simple arrangement for my mother. I proceeded to witness an artist creating a masterpiece of the the most simple yet elegant design! I received so much more for my money than I would have at any other shop! I met George and Lenny about 5 years ago. Instantly when speaking of careers I gravitated towards George since I had been a floral designer. This weekend I attended a birthday party for an 89 year old who is full of life. The best flower shop I've ever experienced! There are always ample supplies of the most unique & exotic flowers as well as perfectly fresh "regular" blooms as well! I discovered this florist back in the year 2000. The man in my life at the time had a business relationship with George so when I was sent flowers, they always came from Coqui Design.
