Cottage Flowers - 105.00 - Florists Near Me - Parsippany, New Jersey

Ordered the Endless Romance bouquet for $87. The spray roses were dead within 48 hours. The owner said it was beyond her control. I was a repeat customer until now. read more

Horrible floral selection, the premade bouquets were incredibly overpriced and truly just ugly. Cheap flowers, filler, much smaller than advertised. The woman we spoke to was rude and patronizing. The photos online are misleading at best and border on deceptive. Definitely go anywhere else. You are better off at the grocery store read more

A group of U.S. ordered flowers for $75 and it was nothing like the picture. The arrangement online had more flowers and a pretty vase. what was delivered was a few flowers upright in a box. I would not use this florist again. When we called to complain, we were told they did they best they could. read more

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM -WHAT A RIP OFF. THEY DELIVERED AN UNPROFESSIONAL, SMALL CRAPPY FLOWER ARRANGEMENT. We ordered the LARGE Teleflora's Sweet Hummingbird Bouquet. On the website it looks huge and gorgeous. The Large says "Lot more for largest version of the design" we paid $89.99 + tax and delivery for $108.75. We expected it to look amazing. The photo (from family) of the actual flower arrangement is shockingly AWFUL. We called the shop to have them send a new one and Ann answered. She said she followed "the recipe" for the arrangement but they didn't have the hummingbird vase, just butterflies and she didn't have the hot pink spray roses but she added more carnations (the cheapest flower there is.) She also said "it's only 4" square, what did you expect?" - a nice thing for the Florist to say to the customer. (Plus it doesn't give the size on the website.) This is a 61st anniversary special celebration arrangement. It looks like $20 delivered. And she said she won't replace it with a bigger one and then offered us $20 off or she said she'll "pick it up and put it in her refrigerator." But when she heard about this review she said FORGET IT. I'm charging you full price. Goodbye. HORRIBLE. read more

I've been getting flowers there for about 25 years and recommend them highly. Ann Traynor, the proprietor, always does a great job and over the years, she's probably done at least 40 bouquets of roses. She's a nice person and a pleasure to deal with. read more

Cottage flowers always has the freshest flowers! They stay nice for the longest time! Also, they are sourced from growers who do not abuse the workers by spraying pesticides on them (the workers) . Plus, Anne always does a beautiful job of arranging! I've been to many funerals on the last few months, and can always spot oneof her arrangements among the many, as soon as I walk on the room. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommended! read more

Last year's arrangement was lovely. This year's (the pink) was haphazardly thrown together into a spaceship with a Mohawk shape. While the are, in fact, the flowers I chose specifically, I paid quite a price for this less than impressive (and frankly terrible) arrangement. Included were 2 hydrangeas, 2 orchids, 2 ranunculus, and 3 snapdragons. A lot of money, terrible result. read more

Just a tad bit disappointed, ( just check the photos ) this is what I spent $100 on ‍. To be honest when my fiancé received the flowers she really excited about the card with the message. I asked her what about the flowers? I got no answer then I called her right away and she said oh they are nice but i love the card. I said ok can you send me a picture of the flowers because they are supposed to be beautiful. They were so small and they didn't state how many flowers of each would be included but I also figured it wouldn't look like the photo ( something in between I expected. ) I showed a bunch of people the photos and they did nothing but laugh and just say wow you got screwed. I'm not one to call up and complain but I will leave a bad review and not shop here again or recommend them to anybody! Well here are the pictures you guys can be the judge. read more

I had previously used Cottage Flowers for both my brother's and my prom, and now years later I had the opportunity to use them again for my wedding! Ann was very professional, honest, and accommodating. Seeing as I was planning a wedding in less than 3 months, she worked with me and was incredibly honest with what she would and would not be able to deliver. What a breath of fresh air! She hand delivered all the flowers the day of my wedding and they were beautiful. We received many compliments from our guests about how well made and gorgeous our flowers were arranged. Our bouquets (Bride and bridesmaids) lasted long enough that we made them a centerpiece on our dining room table. Thank you Ann! read more

My wife and I ordered flowers for my mom from Cottage Flowers to congratulate her on finishing her radiation treatment for cancer. After the flowers were delivered, my wife was contacted to process payment, BAU. During the call my wife was asked "what is wrong with her, I noticed the bumps on her neck?" We gave no indication that the flowers were ordered because of the cancer - our card simply said "Congratulations, we're very proud of you!" I am very disappointed in the level of professionalism that Cottage Flowers conducts themselves with. They had no right to assume there was an issue with my mother, let alone comment on to my wife. If my mother knew that this was said about her, she would be devastated. For that reason, i will never be a customer of Cottage Flowers again. With the unprofessional conduct that was displayed there was still an upside - The flowers were beautiful, and my mother loved them. Unprofessional conduct always outweighs talent. **** By the way - the flowers were delivered on Friday 4/8. THE FLOWERS ARE DEAD ON MONDAY 4/11. read more

Rude, cheap, and snarky. I ordered a beautiful arrangement online through the store's own website. The owner called me awhile later to say they didn't have the exact roses I had ordered but they did have the vase and everything else. I said, "That's fine. You're the florist. I'll trust you." Big mistake! Received a picture of the arrangement that was delivered and it was NOTHING like the picture. Sure, same flowers, but when you order the "premium," most expensive option, you expect it to be just that - PREMIUM. It was a few flowers stuck in a tiny vase. I called to discuss what had been ordered and what had been delivered. From the moment I began speaking, the woman was rude. She didn't understand the actual words I was using - "Hello. Is there someone I could speak to about an order that was made online yesterday?" She answered with, "What?! What do you want?!" As I repeated myself she interrupted me and said, "You want to talk about wine?!" Her volume was proof that she was annoyed someone would dare call her. After explaining the situation, she basically told me I was wrong and this is what people in NYC want. Perhaps, but I don't live in NYC and the flowers weren't delivered to NYC. As I remained calm and repeated how dissatisfied I was, she interrupted me and told me this is what I ordered. You can see for yourself that this is NOT what I ordered. Oh and the "wide cylinder vase that's been elegantly lined with leaves" (straight from the description) is not. What is it? It's a 5" vase that has double-sided tape and is wrapped in ribbon. How cheap?! After reading other reviews, she's clearly a snake when it comes to online orders. I've never felt totally screwed over until dealing with this place. Cottage Flowers did a great job with the flowers for our daughter's and son-in-law's wedding in July 2017. Ann spent hours with our daughter, designing the arrangements and offering great suggestions. On the day of the wedding, she drove up to Rockland County NY to deliver the flowers to three different locations, and to set up the flowers at the wedding venue. We appreciate her patience, expertise, and how effortless she made this part of the wedding-planning process for our daughter. read more

Great service. Thank you for delivering such nice flowers. The flowers look fresh five days later

This is my go to florist for all occasions. The owner is very accommodating, Creative florist with wonderful sense of color and design. Flowers are fresh and last more than a week with only having to change the water. Fair prices and great customer service. read more

DISCOURTEOUS! I ordered flowers to be delivered to my girlfriend's work for her birthday. Ann was nice and helpful. The flowers arrived in a timely fashion and the presentation was great, HOWEVER when they arrived the flowers wreaked of smoke. I called Ann and politely and respectfully thanked her for her services, but explained that smokey-flowers weren't what people pay for/expect. She basically mockingly laughed at me and hung up. Left a sour taste in my mouth. read more

I have gone to many florists in my day for many years and plenty of good ones and then found Cottage Flowers which is by far the best !. Ann the owner is always very warm, personable as well as professional. She No matter how busy she is she always takes the time to listen give you exactly what you want and yet has a perfect way of communicating suggestions that are just perfect just as well. The flower arrangements are always beautiful and they seem to last for a very long time, much longer than other places. Ann always seems to have a passion for her work and it shows !. Terrible customer service. Ordered a $100 arrangement online that looked bountiful. When delivered it was a handful of roses smashed in a hydrangea. When questioned, was told "the pictures are 3rd party and pushed forward to make them look fuller." Website description claimed a bouquet of 13''x12''...what was delivered was 5''x6'' She offered a $10 refund with a ton of attitude. It blows my mind somebody could be so rude, knowing how helpful / hurtful Yelp reviews can be, especially to somebody like a florist. Judging by the other reviews, it looks like you get treated much better in store than online, which in turn means she deliberately cheats people. I could go to the local grocery store and do better. Save your money and go elsewhere Sorry for the pitiful arrangement mom. read more

Very rude people who offer pathetic quality of product. Ordered two arrangements: the first was $35; the other was a dozen roses for $80. The small arrangement was made from throwaway flowers and the roses were small, torn and bruised. Spare yourself the agitation and do not order from these people. read more

I honestly don't know how this place stays in business. My mother and I went to buy a bouquet of flowers and the selection of flowers was horrible. Not to mention the owners unwillingness to help and answer questions. The store is a total mess with flowers and old storage everywhere. She basically put together an arrangement of carnations and charged us $40 for it. I would have had better service, variety, and luck at Pathmark or Shop Rite. STAY AWAY from this place! read more

Walked in on the day of an event I should have ordered flowers for way in advance. Walked out 20 minutes later with an amazingly beautiful bouquet. The owner is a delight to talk with and does excellent work. I highly recommend her for anything flower related!!! read more

I did some hunting around on Yelp since I don't live in the area and needed to find a good florist that would deliver to Morris Plains. The overall reviews seemed favorable and the prices were comparable, and sometimes cheaper than other florists listed. The day after I placed the order, I received a call from the florist to confirm my credit card information. The woman I spoke with was very nice and even thanked me for my business. Within an hour of her phone call I received a text message from the recipient of the flowers with a picture of a very beautiful bouquet. I never give reviews but had to because of the great customer service and beautiful flowers. Very glad they worked out. Both I and my flower recipient are hanging onto this business card! read more

I ordered flowers through Teleflora that were delivered by Cottage Flowers. The bouquet I ordered was absolutely nothing like what was delivered, and I let Teleflora know I was disappointed. Teleflora advised they would send out a replacement and collect the flowers that were not what I expected. The florist returned to the recipients location, which in this case was her new job, was rude to the front office staff, created a confrontational scene with the recipient, and lectured her about me complaining of feeling "ripped off", which he did several times with very dramatic air quotes while he was ranting and carrying on at a corporate office. After he finished his theatrics, he took the flowers from her and did not give any replacement, as I was advised would happen. She was humiliated and embarrassed at her new job, for something that was meant to be a nice gesture. The feedback I sent had nothing to do with the recipient. The fact any business would behave this way is disgusting. If you use Teleflora, be warned, this is the kind of florist they allow to represent them. You can pick-up an arrangement at Target or Wal-Mart of superior quality (how sad is that?) and none of the drama of their inability to provide good customer service. I read another review that compared the quality of their bouquets to truck stop flowers, and that would be absolutely correct. The quality and customer service are abhorrent. read more

Owner is wonderful. Two times I had to order something at the last moment. She was very accommodating and the result was great.
