I'm very disappointed with Petals of Pine Brook. I recently received 2 Vases of flowers after the passing of my grandmother. Not realizing one of the vases was cracked and leaking damaging my furniture. I emailed them twice with no reoly , when I called and spoke with someone telling me the would givet my message to the manager. I never heard back from my emails or my call. We always ordered from them at my previous employer and never had an issue, maybe they have new owners. I would never order from them or recomend anyone to them. They were left at the door, I didn't catch the kid to give a tip, new I'm glad I didn't. read more

Very disappointed in the quality of the flowers, poor and uncaring customer service, and my overall experience with Petals of Pine Brook, its management and Rutland-Beard Floral Group (the company that it is a part of). They messed up not one, but two different orders (that were sent to my mom for her 102nd birthday). I could go into detail, but suffice it to say that every aspect was unsatisfactory from start to finish! My advice is to stay far away from Petals of Pine Brook and any other florists that are a part of Rutland Beard. read more

I have used this florist for 24 years to have flowers delivered to my wife at work. Never one issue for 22 years, yet every order I have placed in the last few years have been terrible. I was told that the original owner sold the business and it shows. Extremely disappointed with my last order and I called to complain and got the answering service. I dire need of upping their game! Received a fruit basket...terrible! See earlier post January 2020! Today I received flowers from them... again, SAD! Literally flowers thrown in a vase, no baby breath, no ribbon, no food packet! Literally base flowers I could have done from a supermarket with better results! The worse part is that they left them on my front porch in this 30 degree windy weather totally unprotected! When I got home, the florist was closed but an unsatisfactory message was left! After many years of supporting this local business, I am dismayed to have to write a negative review. Today I was connected to a remote answering service facility that had no idea what flowers were in stock. I asked to speak directly with the store and was connected the most unhelpful salesperson. I cancelled the order before even completing the transaction because the associate had zero interest in being of service to the customer and clearly had no interest in the company she is representing. My husband got a roses bouquet from this florist for our wedding anniversary. The roses were amazing! I haven't seen such a great bouquet before where all the roses are the same size, fully opened and lined in a bouquet in a symmetrical way. I was truly impressed with it. My husband was very happy with the service and help he got from the florist. They let him look at old roses to pick the color and make pictures so that he can order exactly the color he wants for the future order. Great flowers and service! read more

Went in prior to Valentine's Day to order flowers to be delivered. Not only was there no decoration through them but they looked dead. They had to be thrown out 2 days later. I did get my money back but not until after having to email corporate.... yes corporate and I got no response from them besides checking my bank account and seeing the money returned. Highly disappointing, and I went to Shoprite where I got replacement flowers and 2 dozen Rose's for $55 less than I paid here. I will be not be returning here going forward. I grew up in NJ and now live in Washington DC. My grandmother still lives in the house where my father was raised in Towaco, and has been stuck at home much of the time during this year's unrelenting winter. When my husband and I decided to surprise Grandma with a gift of flowers this week , I researched florists near Towaco and found Petals of Pine Brook. That they are a local small business operating in the Montville area for 24 years appealed to me, as did the tremendous selection of floral arrangements available. While Petals of Pine Brook offers online ordering, I ordered by phone since I wanted to include special instructions for getting to my grandmother's home (she lives at the bottom of a hill, set back from the main road, and her home can be difficult to find for first time visitors). The next day, my grandmother called me, full of joy and surprise at receiving a bouquet of sunny yellow tulips from Petals of Pine Brook, and telling me that she now feels like she has a bit of springtime in her living room. Petals is more than flowers - it is a gift shop with hand-crafted jewelry and accessories, unique home decor. There are always many items to browse (and you can have a cup of fresh-brewed coffee while doing so!). I've been a fan of Petals of Pine Brook for 26 years. I love the current location for its beautifully landscaped area with a koi pond. It truly is a top-notch florist that does an exceptional job. You won't be disappointed! read more

I paid for a $75 bouquet and $25 delivery to a dear family who just lost their husband/father to covid-19. The recipient texted me a picture of the bouquet, thanking me. I was shocked. The bouquet was very small and nothing like I was expecting for the money I paid. When I tried to call the shop today I was hung up on without even a hello twice. I tried a third time and got a surly woman who was extremely rude to me. I nicely asked to speak with the owner, and got silence. It's one thing to feel slighted when trying to do something nice for a family, but then to be treated so badly on top of it was insult to injury. read more

EXTREMLY happy with my purchase from this outstanding florist! I have driven by this establishment a million times in my life and never stopped to go in or thought to use them until Friday when I was leaving work in Montville to go out of town and needed a 'same day' arrangement. I called as soon as they opened and, even though I could tell they had just arrived and may not have been all ready to go, they were very patient and most pleasant to speak with. I told Caroline, the lovely woman who answered the phone and later waited on me in-store, what I wanted and how much I wanted to spend and she assured me that she had what I was looking for and that she could have it ready by the time I needed it. This in itself was such a contrast to so many other florists that I have recently dealt with that either don't have what I am looking for or cannot accommodate a same day order. But that is not the best part. When she came from behind the counter with the goods I could not believe my eyes! The bouquet was truly magnificent for the price that was quoted. The person that was the recipient of these beautiful flowers was as blown away as I was. I feel like I have found a secret garden in the middle of Montville. Also, the store is a delightful collection of beautiful gifts. When I have more time to peruse, I will definitely go back. In the meantime, I have found a wonderful florist that I will use again for sure. read more

I have never been anything but extremely satisfied when stopping into Petals of Pine Brook. Their fresh flowers are kept in a large cooled solarium, and customers are allowed to walk through it to browse the varietals, if they like. I have often selected all my own flowers, never once feeling that I was being monitored. The staff is ever friendly and helpful, and they have also helped me craft custom bouquets on various occasions. EXTREMELY horrible customer service!!!! I have ordered from this facility in the past and the deliveries were on time. The previous order I allowed them to deliver them on another date since they left the flowers outside of a business building and said they were delivered. This time around I called the facility two hours before 5pm to advise them that the flowers were still not delivered and that the business will close at 5 so to call the number that is on the order. I was told they were going to contact the driver, at 4:35pm I received an email stating the delivery was attempted but to no avail. I immediately called and the service was awful, they could not get in touch with the driver and asked if its okay to deliver on another date, NO. The manager was nowhere to be around which happened the last time as well. I will be calling for a full refund and we shall see how long this will take. read more

SUPERIOR PRODUCTS!!! I sent my wife a dozen of long stem roses where she works in Pine Brook from Petals of Pine a Brook for our anniversary. They were the most phenomenal roses!!! Huge, Full, Fresh, in an arrangement that was second to none in my opinion. I give my wife flowers every two weeks which I purchase usually at the grocery store But all Special Occasions I always use a florist. This would include New Years Day, Valentines, her birthday, Easter, Anniversary, Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have used Florists all throughout Bergen County where we live and no one has come close to the quality that I received from Petals of Pine Brook. I love that I can get handmade gifts, fresh flowers, plants (plus even more options) with staff that can tell you exactly how to care for what you are getting.
