We had an 8:00 PM reservation, and showed up slightly early. The staff initially greeted us kindly, and gave us the usual tour of the restaurant that is included in the reservation. We had a great time, the food was fantastic, and so was the wine (and even moreso the Whisky). However, as the evening drew to a close, we found ourselves waiting alongside one other couple for a taxi for over an hour. While we finished eating before 11:00 PM, we only got back to our hotel at 00:30 AM that night. This is in spite of the fact that, at each of around 10:45 PM, 11:15 PM, and 11:35 PM we asked for a taxi to pick us up, but each time a different staff member said "a taxi is coming" and immediately left the premises. Eventually, a taxi arrived, though at that point we are not sure if the restaurant even ordered it since it was completely deserted (the kitchen was even clean) by the time we were on our way. All in all, a great evening turned sour because the staff clearly did not care that their guests got home safe. It is especially disappointing since the Michelin guide is supposed to be a stamp of quality, not only in terms of culinary quality but also in terms of service, and especially, humanity. The staff at this restaurant did not display the humanity befitting the Michelin guide, let alone two Michelin stars. Too bad that a night that should have been wonderful became awful. read more
