Uhmmmmm, juicy.
Cyrus A.

This place looks a little run down, the crew looks a little "southern", and the furniture a little rough. This would be a good movie setting. Don't let it scare you, it will be worth it I promise. The only folks that need to be afraid are vegans and p90xers. Also, bring yourself a beach towel, you're going to need it to wipe all of the grease away from your face. The burgers are juicy, and the menu is full of fried delights. This is the reason Mississippi ranks the fattest in the country my friends. In the words of the most interesting man, "Stay thirsty my friends" thirsty for grease. Also the address is wrong on yelp, it's at the four way stop.

Love their burgers. The plate lunches look good but honestly all I ever get is a burger when I go there.

Delta Steak House - 10 oz Ribeye

Being from Senatobia, I really wanted to love this place and support a local spot. I've given it a…read morefair shot--three separate visits--but each time has unfortunately fallen short. The salad felt more like an afterthought: mostly lettuce with one cherry tomato, a single onion ring, and a mound of shredded cheese. I've tried several entrées over time--the blackened catfish (which came out undercooked), the steak (beautiful presentation but lacking flavor), and the redfish (overcooked). My son ordered the pork chop, which was very dry, and the "fried apples" tasted more like syrup than fruit. Our server was kind but not very attentive; we had to ask for drink refills and our check. I truly don't enjoy leaving less-than-positive reviews, but I've consistently walked away disappointed.

We have eaten at just about all the steakhouses in the Mississippi/Tennessee area, from the small ones to the high-end ones. One of my favorite steaks is the porterhouse. It's usually around $60 and up at most steakhouses these days. Delta's porterhouse was $49 and it came with a salad plus one side. The salad was nothing to write home about. But who goes to a steakhouse for a salad? I chose the baked potato is my side. I upgraded it for $2 to what they call the colossal loaded baked potato. It was very good! If I had one critique, it would be that there was no before meal bread offered. It wasn't a big deal. I didn't need it anyway. I usually get my steak medium-rare. In most places, they always overcook it. When the stakes arrived, I was very excited to see they looked great. I cut into my steak and it was cooked perfectly. My wife's steak was also cooked perfectly. She got the filet. She ordered some sauteed mushrooms on the side. I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms, but these mushrooms. Had a very distinct taste. My wife said they were some of the best Mushroom. She's ever had. Our waitress was very pleasant and on the ball constantly. We didn't have to ask for anything. I looked at some of the other reviews here and I was a little confused. When you put this place up against some of the higher end steakhouses, I would still come back to this one. The atmosphere is very casual and the place is clean. The steakhouse is nestled right in the middle of downtown Senatobia. We just happened to be in the area and I'm glad we were. I will definitely come here in the future over some of the other choices in our area.

Our waiter, Max, Mac (???) was 18 and therefore could not help with any adult beverage recommendations. Ordered the Butchers Bacon Rack (similar to Porch &Parlor but NOT), when asked, he could not tell us the difference in flavors, not a good experience to even know which we liked or did not. Perhaps this is a learning opportunity/retraining for the restaurant. He was not knowledgeable of the many things. It offers 1st job or owner's son type of job. The entree's were basic at best, the 20% gratuity for the service received did not align and restaurants do that on purpose. There isn't an incentive for waitstaff to offer above and beyond experiences. I had the Crab Stuffed Shrimp, I cannot recall anything memorable (see photo). One of the guest had Fried Green Tomatoes, those were yummy and the Calamari was tasty. The saxophonist was AMAZING, he brings a great background atmosphere unexpected than the food. Listening to him along with appetizers would have been enough for us!! That said, visit at your own risk. For me and my guests we will not be returning.

I don't know why, I'm just cool and mysterious like that. They didn't have the full lunch menu available today, they only had a lunch plate special. And damn what a plate it was. 2 pieces fried chicken, mashed potatoes, greens, and a biscuit. The fried chicken had a sauce over it that was very reminiscent of Uncle Lou's sweet spicy love sauce but with less of the heat. That's a good thing for our table because one of the kids is not a spicy fan. Think I'm gonna need a DNA test on that one because I don't know what's up with that. In addition to the lunch counter there is also a full butcher shop with many different cuts of pork and beef. Prices seemed pretty reasonable as well and although I didn't get anything from the butcher I'll bet it's a damn sight better than what you'll get at Kroger. Everyone we dealt with (okay there were only 2 people, the lady at the register and the guy cooking) was very friendly, checking in without a few times throughout the meal, asking if it's our first time (it was) and welcoming us. Insider it's a cute country store vibe with some various sun dried in addition to the meats and lunch counter like soap, honey, I think I saw bags of grits.....

Since I grew up a hop, skip, and jump away from Como, off of Highway 310 in Marshall County, I was eager to check out the farm store on one of my upcoming visits back home. I finally got to stop by this past weekend, and I ordered takeout for lunch on Sunday, which consisted of 4 smoked brisket sandwiches, 2 wedge salads, 2 orders of egg rolls, a basket of French fries, and 3 slices of chocolate pie. The customer service I received during my visit was superb, and I throughly enjoyed the butcher shop meets Hill Country cafe vibes in the dining area while I waited for my food to be prepared. Once I got back to my mom's house, I realized both salads came with bacon, which meant the pescatarian in our family couldn't eat her meal. Other than that small hiccup, everything else was phenomenal! My family raved about the smoke brisket sandwiches, and I really enjoyed the egg rolls, wedge salad, French fries, and slice of chocolate pie that I ate. Overall, a great experience, and I look forward to stopping by again in the future when I'm back home in North Mississippi.
