This place is cute and the service was friendly. They looked to have plenty of choices on the buffet. Some members of our party got a pizza, and it looked really good! I wish I had ordered one of those. My meal was not really fresh, and the gravy kind of tasted like the kind you get out of a jar. A down home restaurant with a very popular buffet and a large menu as well! Stopped by here for lunch. Nice folks. And the place is nicely designed in country decor. Very homey feel. Food is county style. Chicken dumplings, chicken livers, country fried steak etc. They have daily lunch specials on the wall for under $10. If it were closer to us I'd come more often but we were just passing through. This small family business tries very hard to to give great service, however some of the food taste canned or frozen. My favorites are the catfish (fresh) and the cheeseburgers (cooked to order) Looking forward to trying the buffet sometime. read more

Been passing this place for years. Finally stopped in to see what is up. Very friendly place, limited menu but that's a good thing. Catfish, sandwiches, hamburger and chicken fried steaks plus some "specials". I went safe and got a double cheeseburger and onion rings. The burger was "cafe style". It had a great crust and all the trimmings. The only thing that kept this burger from being a solid 10 , is not really anyones fault, so many places will not serve anything but well done ground beef now. I get the health issue, but medium is the best for me. I miss juicy burgers. It was big and tasty other wise. Excellent tea and the lady serving me was as nice as could be. A nice little gem in Tate County. It's out of the way, but take your time and go! ETA: they gave me some free hush puppies with my tea,....... yes sir. Very, very good! read more

It's okay . It like the portions are always different and the food has sometimes been cold. Like it's been good 4 out of 5 times. They have a cool ice cream bar inside that is really nice. What a great meal tonight!! The grilled pork chop was seasoned to perfection!!! And don't pass on the fried squash YUMMY!!!

We live close by and it makes it a easy choice for a weekday dinner. They have all the normal country cooked entrees that change out daily and the variety of veggies. The waitress recognizes us now and even if fried pork chops are not on the menu if they have some thawed out they will go ahead and cook us some. They also keep our glasses full, which is a must. A good clean place and they sell homemade fried pies and other slices or whole pies from the Pie Room in Independence,Ms , which are really good. Will continue to repeat here. read more

So this is my second time coming here and just like the first time it was an awful experience. First we asked of the specials the girl told us they didn't have any specials, the some people came in behind us and they was told the specials. My mom ordered a taco salad that has a sauce cup of meat that didn't have season on it, it had more chips and lettuce than anything. I ordered a philly that was more bread than meat and it had yellow cheese instead of white with no kind of season. The only good thing they had was the fried green tomatoes and you can tell the was frozen. Their prices are way to high for the quality of the food..I would not recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

This is definitely a hidden treasure. It's an old mom and pop run cafe. They offer breakfast(days & time vary), lunch, and dinner. We lived in the area for over two years before we found this place. We now eat here just about every Saturday morning, if that tells you anything! It is delicious southern style cookin', in a good ole country atmosphere. read more
