While the food remains consistently good, they have an overwhelming house fly problem. You cannot simply eat your meal without being swarmed by them. It's as if you are eating outside. You'll even notice flys around the food delivery area where you pick up your food. Tonight I could see the in the kitchen area. This is absolutely disgusting and the owners along with the health department should address this immediately. Higher prices and all those flys cannot outweigh the food quality. This restaurant is like an institution and staple to the community. I really hope the owners address this responsibly and quickly. read more

We stopped in here while enjoying a beautiful Saturday and just riding through the area. We were drawn to it by the "old school" look and the number of cars in the parking lot. The place was full and you could smell the smoke rolling! The staff were friendly and helpful- I chose the Jumbo cheeseburger plate with double fries and my husband had the BBQ sandwich plate with baked beans and fried green beans. We got our drinks and found a booth to sit in. I went to wash my hands and the bathroom was small, but the cleanest, neatest one I've seen in a long time! After several minutes our good was ready- it was hot and obviously cooked to order. The Jumbo cheeseburger was huge and came just like I ordered it- the fries were crispy. The BBQ was good, slaw was on the side, baked beans had BBQ in them and were really good. Fried green beans were good and came with Ranch dressing. The place was busy and crowded and everyone was nice- great small town feel. We were very happy with our lunch and this is a hidden gem! I highly recommend you go and enjoy it! read more

Decent bbq, great service. Pretty standard bbq place. There bbq beans aren't typical though, they have a little kick of spice to them. Almost like a Brunswick stew or chili flavor to them. I appreciate when bbq joints have unique side dishes. To me that really makes a place stand out. As a new resident in Senatobia, this is probably the best place to get bbq in town. My family of four ate here for 28 bucks, not bad. I had the jumbo hamburger plate with a side of fries and slaw, filled me up, and I ain't no wimp. For the Senatobia area this is one of our new favorites. I stopped in Coleman's several years ago, on a drive from Memphis to Eastern Arkansas, and remember it very well. I travel a lot, but don't ever recall an eatery whose service was so genuine, gracious and accommodating. The small crowd of diners also joined in the conversation. Clearly the atmosphere at Coleman's was as comfortable and warm to this misplaced Yankee as a family holiday dinner. The pulled pork was nicely smoked, and very good. This is my favorite place to stop for lunch or dinner when I am in town. BBQ sandwich with cole slaw on top, french fries, and a potato salad on the side. Coleman's is a tradition in Tate county. They go hand in hand. When I eat there I take a seat in the corner by myself and listen to the old men sit around telling tales. At Coleman's the bbq is so good it waters your mouth, and the potato salad is definitely not to be underestimated. I think a potato salad is best when you can taste the relish in it. You can definitely taste the relish in this. The french fries are the chunky, salty kind that some of us were served in the cafeteria growing up. I don't know about you but I really liked that kind of french fry. I appreciated that they were so chunky because I felt like that was enough to last me through the next two hours of school until I got home and could pig out. If you hit up Coleman's in the morning, they usually serve sausage and biscuits along with some coffee. The women are up at the crack of dawn ready to make that bbq! Like I said, Coleman's and Tate county go hand in hand. They are very faithful to their customers and aim to please. read more

I went a couple of times for lunch. The food is great, and this place gets a little busy during lunch.

Pulled pork is good. Burgers are great but have never gotten mine the way its ordered. The lettuce is always brown & wilted. I like light mayo but its always so much the bun is soggy. My husband picks us up 2 plates once a week & we live 8 miles from them so he isn't driving back into town to complain. He has asked for the mayo,light & dressings on the side but comes home with nothing but meat & bread. Don't know if it makes em mad for a simple request but its a shame because their burgers are great. We are sad because there is no other place in town we like. Hate frozen patties & forget barbq unless you wanna go to Memphis. read more
