A nice, old school Bar-B-Q joint. Step in and order at the counter. Choices like BBQ, Bologna, Fish, Burgers, plates with two (2) sides, etc. They call your number, grab your tray, and sit where you please. Basic old diner or fast food setup with booths against the windows or four (4) seater tables on the interior. I had the grilled chicken with fried green beans. Overall excellent experience. read more

We stopped in here while enjoying a beautiful Saturday and just riding through the area. We were drawn to it by the "old school" look and the number of cars in the parking lot. The place was full and you could smell the smoke rolling! The staff were friendly and helpful- I chose the Jumbo cheeseburger plate with double fries and my husband had the BBQ sandwich plate with baked beans and fried green beans. We got our drinks and found a booth to sit in. I went to wash my hands and the bathroom was small, but the cleanest, neatest one I've seen in a long time! After several minutes our good was ready- it was hot and obviously cooked to order. The Jumbo cheeseburger was huge and came just like I ordered it- the fries were crispy. The BBQ was good, slaw was on the side, baked beans had BBQ in them and were really good. Fried green beans were good and came with Ranch dressing. The place was busy and crowded and everyone was nice- great small town feel. We were very happy with our lunch and this is a hidden gem! I highly recommend you go and enjoy it! read more

While the food remains consistently good, they have an overwhelming house fly problem. You cannot simply eat your meal without being swarmed by them. It's as if you are eating outside. You'll even notice flys around the food delivery area where you pick up your food. Tonight I could see the in the kitchen area. This is absolutely disgusting and the owners along with the health department should address this immediately. Higher prices and all those flys cannot outweigh the food quality. This restaurant is like an institution and staple to the community. I really hope the owners address this responsibly and quickly. read more

Love their BBQ Brisket it's well seasoned and always fresh the environment is peaceful and always a smile on the employees faces highly recommend if your ever in the senatobia area read more

My wife and I have eaten at Coleman's many times. Our favorite is their BBQ sandwich with coleslaw and also their cheeseburgers are so good also. Great place I highly recommend it. read more

The food gave me salmonella. Flies everywhere, sticky tables, and very rude customer service. Sysco bbq that taste like a school cafeteria

This is the last Colemans. If you have never been to one, you will not regret stopping by.

my fave is their bbq pork salad. they have lots to choose from. Very convenient and close to the interstate if you're driving through.

Always love to spend local and especially for BBQ! Unfortunately, the hours have fluctuated so much we never, never know when or if they're open! I'm sure COVID isn't helping but I'd like to meet with the owner and possibly help out, give some insight that may help them continue to be successful! 9017344126 call me Ms.Kim! read more

I always like to try barbecue whenever I'm traveling. This place was along the road when we stopped to get gas. These ribs where mediocre-at-best. I had to send the first order back because they were dried out and tough. My wife had a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top and it was much better. And the hush puppies were yummy she said. read more

Decent bbq, great service. Pretty standard bbq place. There bbq beans aren't typical though, they have a little kick of spice to them. Almost like a Brunswick stew or chili flavor to them. I appreciate when bbq joints have unique side dishes. To me that really makes a place stand out. Nothing worse than having delicious barbecued meats served with grocery store potato salad, coleslaw, and canned baked beans. read more

Good food great people this is a wonderful place to eat at. The chicken strips plate is wonderful

Regular BBQ 4/5 (good slightly-tangy flavor) Hush puppies 4.5/5 (a little dry, but great flavor with a spicy kick at the end) Fried Pickles 3/5 (a lot of breading but looks and tastes homemade) Fried green beans 5/5 (looks and tastes homemade) Ribs 4/5 (meat was a bit dry, but the sauce was great and the serving size was great and at a reasonable price) Sweet tea 5/5 (sweet tea was not too sweet) This was a great stop as we were passing through town. read more

As a new resident in Senatobia, this is probably the best place to get bbq in town. My family of four ate here for 28 bucks, not bad. I had the jumbo hamburger plate with a side of fries and slaw, filled me up, and I ain't no wimp. For the Senatobia area this is one of our new favorites. Friendly staff, and all of the patrons seemed happy as well. Check em out! read more

Coleman's Bar-B-Q - Jumbo hamburger plate with slaw and fries. - Barbeque Near Me - Senatobia, Mississippi

Coleman's. A permanent fixture on the food scene of Senatobia. While most dining establishments in town are of the chain or fast-food variety, Coleman's Barbecue offers a brief respite to the Numbered Menus and consistent mediocrity one comes to expect from a franchised steakhouse or every-five-mile-burger-joint. What one WILL notice about Coleman's is its size, shape and small-town charm. Coleman's has a longtime family history embedded in its operation and the town of Senatobia. With various offerings of beef, chicken and even salads, Coleman's main attraction is old-fashioned pork BBQ. The beans, are some of the best in the south with loaded helpings of chopped meat mixed in, providing the overall flavor with that pervasive, smokey, delicious-ness that is inherent in this Hot Pit restaurant. In this diner-esque roadstop in the center of town, you should expect a few things: Good food, good people and bottomless sweet-tea. Coleman's is a staple in the community and one you would sorely miss, if you didn't stop here on your way through. If you happen to catch the owner, ask her about their old slogan from ages past, that was plastered on a sign at the edge of town: "You can beat our beans, but you can't beat our meat!" read more

Yes, there's a lot of nostalgia in my love for this place. But the food and customer service is excellent, too! The menu hasn't changed much (at all?) since my childhood. Good BBQ, perfect crinkle cut fries, sweet tea... it's been consistent over the years. And my wife loves their burger. A great locals place with friendly, small-town service and delicious food. We can't come to Senatobia without stopping here! read more

Best bbq around. Everything on their menu is good. Never had a bad meal. Love the home town feel.

If you're looking for some good BBQ, definitely be sure to check this place out! It doesn't look like your typical BBQ place, but don't be fooled! The service and food is excellent! All for a very reasonable price. While there we had the BBQ Pork Sandwich and the Rib Plate, both were excellent and greeted with a smile. read more

Coleman's Bar-B-Q - Rib Plate - Barbeque Near Me - Senatobia, Mississippi

Okay food. Okay service. BBQ run of the mill. Nothing special. Location looks dirty. Breakfast is okay.

I stopped in Coleman's several years ago, on a drive from Memphis to Eastern Arkansas, and remember it very well. I travel a lot, but don't ever recall an eatery whose service was so genuine, gracious and accommodating. The small crowd of diners also joined in the conversation. Clearly the atmosphere at Coleman's was as comfortable and warm to this misplaced Yankee as a family holiday dinner. The pulled pork was nicely smoked, and very good. Sides of coleslaw and potato salad were well above the typical BBQ standard. Prices were well below my expectation. Bless these wonderful people for the memories of how nice they were! read more

This is my favorite place to stop for lunch or dinner when I am in town. BBQ sandwich with cole slaw on top, french fries, and a potato salad on the side. Coleman's is a tradition in Tate county. They go hand in hand. When I eat there I take a seat in the corner by myself and listen to the old men sit around telling tales. At Coleman's the bbq is so good it waters your mouth, and the potato salad is definitely not to be underestimated. I think a potato salad is best when you can taste the relish in it. You can definitely taste the relish in this. The french fries are the chunky, salty kind that some of us were served in the cafeteria growing up. I don't know about you but I really liked that kind of french fry. I appreciated that they were so chunky because I felt like that was enough to last me through the next two hours of school until I got home and could pig out. If you hit up Coleman's in the morning, they usually serve sausage and biscuits along with some coffee. The women are up at the crack of dawn ready to make that bbq! Like I said, Coleman's and Tate county go hand in hand. They are very faithful to their customers and aim to please. read more

So much better since the owner's family took it over. Good BBQ - not THE best but very good. Potato salad is really good, nice texture and like the tang. The fries are kind of lame though, tiny crinkle cut from a bag of frozen fries. But so much better now that even 6 months ago. read more

Bbq was ok, but nothing amazing. The potato salad was better and had a sweet flavor to it that is unusual but good.

The pork - Solid, not spectacular. The potato salad is fantastic. They also have these fried green beans that everyone has to try. Service was great and very fast. Very hole-in-the-wall, but that is not a bad thing! All in all a good place to get some Q if you're down this way. read more
