    Shrimp scampi
    Mike B.

We came here about 7pm on a Saturday night. We called ahead to see how busy they were and if we needed a reservation. No reservation was necessary. As we entered the parking lot, there were quite a few cars but were able to park easily and entered the building. The restaurant is located in what appears to be an old house. I know from living here years ago that this restaurant has been located here at least 30 years. It has always been a nicer restaurant for the area. We were promptly seated in one of the rooms, there were four total tables in our room but we were the only table seated which we appreciated due to covid. We could hear many other people in the building but were by ourselves in this room. We checked out the menu and made selections. Our orders were taken and arrived in a timely fashion. Everything looked good. Overall this was a good experience for social distancing and service, but the prices felt higher than what they should be for what you get. The best example based on what we ordered is the shrimp scampi - rice, about 6 shrimp, baked potato and side salad for $28.00.

Service was good, food was even better! I truly cannot remember what I had for dinner but I recall it being pricy, yet good. My favorite part was when the waiter hoisted several different desserts on a platter for us to see. We had their red velvet cheesecake.

Really good food. Server was great! Nice atmosphere. A little gem in Chambersburg. Potato skins are wonderful.

My first time here, and the food almost did not disappoint. The ambience is pretty casual and it's a pretty spacious place; residing in a home like unassuming building. We sat in the bar area which was pretty decent. For appetizers, we tried the Mediterranean flat bread and it was crisp and tasty! I ordered lean cut filet Mignon and scallops, and the scallops were on point. The only disappointment was that I ordered my filet to be medium rare but it came out a little over cooked, still pretty decent though. Overall we had a pleasant dinner here and would definitely return.

    French Dip Sandwich

Stopped in to have a late lunch with a friend and wasn't sure what the expect. Decor is woody and old-fashioned and lots of booths, which I love. French Dip: $13.50 Thinly sliced prime rib stacked on a french roll with Au jus and cole slaw. A pretty heaping portion of sliced prime rib and the bread was crusty and I loved the Au jus. It had a really great depth of flavor. I'm usually pretty picky about my cole slaw but it was a great accompaniment to the richness of the french dip. I did find the prime rib slightly on the dry side but once you dipped, all was forgotten. Really great wine selection by the glass for both red and white. I got two glasses of the Cabernet which I was very pleased with. They also offered additional reds: Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet. Service was outstanding. Our server was attentive at the right times. If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely come back to this restaurant.

The steaks are consistent, the rolls are tasty, and you generally leave satisfied on the food front. The environment, however, is a whole different experience. The music is cranked up to rock-concert levels, and when you combine that with the natural noise of a packed restaurant, it feels like eating dinner inside a busy airport terminal during a live band performance. Trying to have a family conversation turns into shouting across the table like you're announcing a delayed flight. No one is asking for library-quiet or white-tablecloth vibes. Even backing the volume off a little would make this a far more enjoyable place to eat. As it stands, the atmosphere almost cancels out the food. You leave full, slightly annoyed, and wondering why a casual steak dinner required ear protection. Good food. High energy. Bring your appetite--and your outside voice.

Had the 3 meat sampler. I selected 2 portions of half rack ribs and the meatloaf…read more The ribs were good as was the Mac n cheese and hash brown casserole. The meatloaf was fair, but I'm not a big fan of chopped meat in any form due to the grease and all the negatives of meat in general, especially chopped meat and chicken. The server was a young woman who initially indicated her displeasure at my asking questions about the slight difference between the online and in restaurant menu (no senior citizen choices in the online version for example and a couple of other differences) she told me they don't like to advertise the senior menu (wow!). I guess that says something about senior citizen business but I'm unsure if it's good or negative. Another surprise came when I asked what the difference was in the number of ribs or weight between 1/4 rack and half rack choices. She to me 1/4 was 2 or 3 ribs and half rack was 2 or 3 as well. I tried to clarify in my head if it was literally by the bone or by weight. She became defensive and I could tell she wasn't happy with my question, drilling for a precise answer not a guess. But again rather than make her more perplexed or more unappreciative of my question I just chalked it up to today's generation and lower schooling on precision than my generation. That changed the relationship for the better and all was fine after. She was attentive to my requests and did a great job bringing everything correctly and the other things like wash n dry type towelettes for the rib eating. The place is located in a busy area. Has a nice, comfortable inside and is clean with plenty of room between tables/booths. It's a comfortable climate with the local country music station playing overhead the tables and booths. After realizing my server and I were from vastly different generations, things went better. I'll be back and I received recommend this establishment.

The restaurant is in a little strip mall with 4-5 other restaurants, and I bet any of the other restaurants would have been a better choice. Inka Kitchen looked the fanciest on the outside with its seating area and fresh hanging flower baskets outside. I ordered a water with lemon. Sorry, no lemon, is lime okay? I also ordered an Inka cola. Sorry, we only have 2 liters, no individual servings. Then I ordered a 1/2 chicken with fried plantains & black beans. Sorry, no Peruvian chicken and the plantains are not sweet. The Peruvian restaurant did not have Peruvian chicken or fried plantains. So, I settled for a burrito bowl. I could not have been more disappointed. The chicken was tasteless but salty and tough/dry. There was a tablespoon of black beans, some diced tomatoes, definitely NOT pico de gallo, four slices of avocado, no guacamole, no sour cream. The other person had a quesadilla which they said was okay. So, how the restaurant has a 4.7 review is BEYOND me.
