May's drink of the month: Floral Cordial

As a new Colorado resident, I have been on the hunt for creativity and story telling. I found Copper Door through TikTok, booked a Matcha class next month, and decided to visit the Littleton location . Their mission, and customer service by their Barista Robin, exceeded my expectations. I observed Robin to create genuine connections with customers as they came and went, offering stories and recommendations. Thank you Robin, your servant heart did not go unnoticed!

3.5 My first time in and it's just fine. The coffee was hot but taste wise was just ok. The pastries we got were good but over all expensive, 2 12oz hot mochas plus 2 smaller pastries was $24. I know everything costs more these days but that's a little much. If you don't mind driving a little further, there are some good coffee shops in downtown Littleton. Bonus: pup cups! And filled pretty full too, our dogs love that. Side note: if you're obsessed with old doors used for decor then this is your place, the wall behind the counter is fantastic.

I love copper door!! Great coffee, chill vibes, and awesome staff!! The baristas were so kind! Lots of tables, fast Wi-Fi, easy parking. Great place to hangout for a few hours and get work done. I love when coffee shops have homemade syrups, their salted caramel was delicious! Overall great experience, I can't wait to visit some of their other locations!

Stopped by for a latte since I was in Littleton for a conference and WHOA- that maple orange latte is AMAZING! Not sure about staff with other Yelpers- but my experience was nothing but wonderful. The barista was very kind and answered my questions, even providing recommendations to add cinnamon mixed into the latte. Excellent cafe layout with variety of seating options and work stations. Ample power chartering strips along the wall booths. Would definitely come back when I'm near Littleton/Aspen Grove.

Pretty good matcha! I was a little worried they didn't carry it when I didn't see any matcha reviews. But to my surprise I stopped in and it was on the menu. Of course, this won't be like the traditional matcha you find in Japan but as far as coffee shop matcha it was great. Pretty smooth, not too chunky, and of course the color is beautiful. It is not sweetened so I opted to add the vanilla syrup and I really like it.

Nice location in Aspen Grove where you can pick up a coffee and window shop! The atmosphere is great. A good place to read/work. The coffee was ok. For my latte, it tasted a little bitter/burnt.

Friendly service, nice seating area and the Cortado was perfect! I love that they serve the Cortado with sparkling water!

Enjoying my new book with a latte

I love going here whenever I'm in the area. It has a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for getting work done or catching up with friends. The coffee is tasty and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about their craft. Their company also hosts a variety of coffee and espresso workshops, which are great if you're wanting to get into making your own lattes at home.

One of my favorite coffee shops. The staff are all kind and my lattes are always delicious. I love that they make their own syrups!

Every time I've been there customer service has been rude. I don't think they really want to be in this business.

After not using this business for so long, things weren't the same. Liked what I said at the beginning, they had a large section and selection of cakes. I unfortunately saw only a few of them. None of them truly appealed to me so I was forced to opt for some gelato. Young people in their late teens were mostly in charge the front. They were all polite and respectful to me. A few of them assisted me to give me samples of a few different types. I didn't need a huge cup of ice cream (I mean gelato) so I kindly and politely asked them if they could mostly give me the cake batter kind with a hint of coffee one on top. They usually don't do this as the smallest cups can only fit one scoop of one flavor. They made an exception for me. Hopefully I wasn't too difficult. My tiny and modest gelato was creamy and well made. As a matter of fact it was quite amazing. And the size small was indeed just the right amount (I am older now; gotta watch how I eat!!) The shop is impeccably almost always clean. The decors match the shop's theme. I am glad that I made a quick stop this afternoon.

In shocking news, it looks and feels like every other Starbucks ever assembled by corporate America. Your expectations will be met. The talls that are actually shorts, the ventis that are vaguely Italian-ish, the seasonal drinks, the espresso-adjacent beverages, and all the pumps of artificially flavored sugar your pre-diabetic body desires are here and accounted for. Service was perfectly fine on a Saturday at 7:30 a.m., which is about all one can reasonably ask from a national coffee machine with humans attached to it. The more interesting part is the setting. This being Highlands Ranch, the entire experience is built around the automobile. The Starbucks sits on a corner in a very chain-heavy plaza with the usual suspects nearby. Shake Shack, Torchy's, and the broader parade of suburban convenience masquerading as choice. The drive-thru wraps around the building in a way that makes it very clear who this location is for. Cars glide through with purpose. Pedestrians, meanwhile, are treated like an unwelcome software bug. To get inside, you have to cross the drive-thru lane and stay alert as vehicles enter, loop around, and exit on the other side. It is not impossible. Just weirdly hostile. So yes, the coffee was fine. The staff was fine. The experience was Starbucks. But the design is terrible. Car-first, pedestrian-last, suburbia doing exactly what suburbia does. And yes, the irony is not lost on me that I was only there because I was getting my SUV serviced. Suburban hell comes for us all, apparently with mobile ordering.
