I have had some of the best cupcakes and brownies of my life from Butterscotch Grove. Usually there is a a little bit of a wait, but when it ismy time, the employees are extremely helpful in finding me cupcakes and brownies I would really enjoy. I am addicted to the chocolate caramel brownies. It is the best dessert item I believe I've ever eaten. It's gotten to the point where I ask family to hide them from me because they're so good I can barely stop myself from gobbling them down. Every cupcake I've tried has been very good or excellent, with just a couple exceptions. I think now I've tried 16 different flavors. I love that they have so many varieties. Butterscotch Grove is very generous with the frosting, which is the best part of any cupcake in my opinion. I really enjoy this store. All of the offerings are displayed well, and the employees have been fantastic. The ambience of butterscotch Grove reminds me of when I was a kid and I went to the bakery with my mom. The cake itself was a little dense. It did have a surprise filling and the frosting was good but a little to sweet. Butterscotch Grove is a cute little spot for desserts in Littleton. They have lots of different flavors of things like cupcakes and macarons. I've tried a few of each, and many of the flavors kind of resemble each other, but they're fun to try anyway. I like the themed and seasonal desserts -- it adds fun to the experience! The macarons are exorbitantly priced, in my opinion, but everything else seems priced ok. There always seems to be a decent line waiting to purchase goods, which isn't so bad because it gives extra time to decide what flavors to buy. There's not a lot of seating, but I usually bring it over to Panera to eat after my lunch. read more

Butterscotch Grove is located in the Aspen Grove shopping center in Littleton, CO. There is plenty of parking in their large parking lot. There is a little table right in front and about 4 chairs , inside there is a little table with 2 chairs. I was loving all the Star Wars theme merch. I believe they rotate out their themes. They have ridiculously gorgeous cupcake designs and they are so yummy. They have a gluten free item and a vegan item. They have specialty fun drinks as well. Diary free , sugar free options too. Review is mainly for the drinks. I had no idea they had Star Wars drinks, we usually can only get these at Disneyland or World. We were so excited to try a few, and they did not disappoint! The black cap Cold brew was amazing!! If you like strong coffee, this is for you. My kids got a few other drinks and both were super yummy. The gal making them was quick and did not get rushed by other customers , which is awesome! We sat there and had a few of their day old cupcakes, you could not tell they were day old. Not bad not good. Got three different kinds of cupcakes and none wowed me. The cake itself was definitely not baked enough, it had a gummy texture. Better than being dry. Pricy, but delicious! The macarons are the big star here. They are quite expensive though, but they really are amazing. The texture of them is just right, and each of the fillings is unique and gorgeous--full of flavor! They have soft chewy cookies. The cookies are a bit too sweet for my taste. The store is very clean and it fits the genre. There is a considerable amount of space before you get to the counter--like they are expecting a ton of people to walk in. Not busy. The temperature could be cooler. It's a bit too hot and muggy. Service was great. We were hoping for ice cream. Maybe they could add it to their repertoire. I asked if she could inquire to which she replied "there aren't many of us back there we will if we get around to it". I don't live nearby but I could have made a plan to swing back by if she would only have told me that they could. I was looking for last minute neighbor gifts and I would have purchased several. I stopped by this cupcake place today on my way to pick up my sandwich at the store several doors down. It wasn't like I had a craving for a nice cupcake. Since I'm always on a hunt for discovering a new place where they sell great goods etc., I just wanted to give it a shot. The store was very clean; the clerk at the register was nice and courteous; there was a good amount of cupcake selection where everyone should be able to find their own favorite. There was also a tray of mini strawberry flavored cupcake samples which I tried (of course.) It was delicious. With that said, I shall give this place a 4-star review. Cake! I LOVE CAKE!! This includes Cupcakes! After having lunch at a nearby restaurant, I thought that dessert sounded good. I stopped in Butterscotch Grove for, what else, but CAKE! I picked four of them, as well as one of the gooey butter cake bars. I paid for my purchase, and walked out, anxious to get home, so I could try them. When I got home, I tried the lemon cupcake, and my husband tried the chocolate one (bottom right, with the white frosting, and the chocolate chips on top). They were good, but not great, as I had hoped. I was hoping for WOW! or OH MY GOSH! Nope, just Good. The gooey butter bar cake was better, definitely a GOOD bar, more on the Wow factor! Disappointed. Would I go back for the cupcakes, no. I'd only go back for the gooey butter cake bar. The cupcakes were a 3 star, out of 5 stars. The parking here is free, with a HUGE parking lot that all of the stores in Aspen Grove share. Everything is outside, it's not an enclosed mall, so in the cooler weather, bring a sweater, or a coat, if it's winter. Price - approximately $4 per cupcake. The gooey butter cake bar was $4.25. I'll pass, for now, on the Butterscotch Grove. Going for a gooey butter cake bar, is just not worth it. Side note: This use to be Gigi's Cupcakes, which I loved. read more

For my 600th review, it is appropriate to review Gigi's cupcakes since I have spent $600 dollars here the past couple months. I used to frequent Small Cakes, but after terrible service time and again I branched out. Gigi's was there to the rescue. I found out recently that this is a national chain. I may not be in every state but I've seen around. I think my favorite is the raspberry buckle. I just went out of season so unfortunately you won't be able to try it until next year. My favorite thing about Gigi's is the consistent fabulous customer service. They are always friendly and asked me for my rewards number so I get free cake and have a wide variety of perfectly delicious treats. There cheesecake cupcakes are good, their cream filled cookies are good, they're gluten-free cupcakes are good, and so are all the other cupcakes. I really love the wedding cake cupcake and get it almost every time I'm there. They have a few tables in the shop if you want to eat your secret treat before taking the family home a four pack. Overall, Gigi's and Littleton deserves all five stars. You can find them near Ted's Montana Grill on Aspen Grove Way and Santa Fe Dr. In the big shopping center where the Alamo movie theater is. So I was vising from out of town and wanted a really great cupcake on my trip. I searched on the web and found Gigi's in Littleton, CO. I stopped in after work, so it was close to, or after 5pm. There weren't many cupcakes left, but I got as big a variety as I could. I spent $35-40 on a big box for my coworkers the next day, but tried two that night. Both cupcakes were very dry. Too dry. Just nothing really to recommend about them besides their visual aesthetic apeal. The next day, I tried a couple more and the only one in the entire box that wasn't *too* dry was the blackberry cobbler. *That* cupcake was fantastic. The berries baked into it kept the cupcake moist. I realize I bought the cupcakes late in the day, but if they're no good by the afternoon, don't sell them. It was a bit of a drive from where I was staying, and I would definitely not come here again. I've talked to other people who know about cupcakes and they confirmed they've heard Gigi's is known for being dry. I am sad. read more

This is my friend's favorite cupcake place. He always brings me cupcakes from there as a treat. I like the cupcakes except for the tremendous amount of icing on each cupcake. If you are big on icing this is the place for you. The icing is sweet and smooth so icing fans will rejoice. The cake portion of the cupcake is yummy but not tremendously so. They can range from a little dry to being on point moist. When the cupcakes are moist I like them. I do scrape off most of the icing because it gets too sweet for me. I found the cake to be done nicely with nice texture not dry etc. The icing was overly sweet for looks only, one flavor we tried was garnished with a chocolate chip cookie. The shop is cute and the cupcakes are pretty but it just didn't do it for me cupckae wise. I have a huge sweet tooth and normally love all sweets so this surprised that I wasn't more into these cupcakes. I got the peanut butter cup cupcake and while it had some nice peanut butter flavor it was way too sweet! I had to scrape off some of the frosting just to make it through. Also I got to try the root beer float flavor that someone else had gotten and that one pretty much could give you cavities on the spot. Maybe next time I'll try a more classic flavor. read more

Of course I want to love these cupcakes, I love a good cupcake as much as the next person but these fell so short. Way too much icing and the cake was gooey and sticky and clumped apart. They didn't break apart like most do, and they had a weird consistency that was almost wet. My 3 kids picked at them but left them largely uneaten. The flavors weren't great either. Yes there is a line that sometimes goes out the door but the wait is well worth it. They are cupcakes very everyday with their specials. But if you absolutely are craving something that just hits the spot, this is the place to be. They have an amazing gluten-free option.
