Update - November 2025: I appreciate the business owner's response, but it does not accurately reflect what occurred in my situation. Since Copper Creek states they "follow all NRS lien procedures" and "standard regulated methods," then there should be no concern regarding the current investigation with the Nevada State Contractors Board. The investigator already has my full documentation, emails, timelines, and communication records. To clarify: * I was never properly notified of any intent to file a lien, nor was any certified notice provided. * No invoice was issued to me before the lien was filed. * The lien fee was added onto a later bill, which I received weeks after the lien was already recorded. * No authorized work was completed on my property that would justify a valid lien under NRS 108. * My insurance adjuster also did not receive proper documentation or billing before the lien was filed. These points are part of my formal complaint with the Nevada State Contractors Board. I am fully cooperating with their review and will let the state determine whether procedures were followed correctly. From beginning to end I have struggled with Copper Creek Construction to get my partially flooded kitchen redone & back to normal. Do not use this company. They were actually recommended to me by Apex who mitigated the water damage so i didn't bother looking for reviews first. That was my first mistake that will haunt me forever. They're charging me more than the insurance settlement. I'm having to pay an enormous amount out of pocket. Even though I was assured by James that he would stick to a certain budget based on other home repairs that unexpectedly came up. My next big mistake was not going over the charges with a fine tooth comb because there's ridiculous amounts of money added on for stuff that didn't even get done, which I will dispute. James said he had a finance company that works with him & they wanted to charge me 100+% interest rate. LMAO Like several other reviewers, I am seeking legal counsel. I'm sick of his fake kindness. The cherry on the cake is that the small job took 5 whole months. This also seems to be a common thread for CCC. They're not even worth me putting any more effort into this review. My homeowners insurance even canceled my policy after all this & accusing Apex & CCC & even my initial plumber of working together to increase charges & make more money. I just read all of the various reviews for this company and for the most part they've got five star rating. This is just our experience to date . After hiring them to restore our home after a fire, the personal belongings we stored on our patio started disappearing. Stupid little things for the most part, but WE were apparently to blame because we didn't want to pay for a storage container or unit to protect our stuff from theft by their employees. Pretty much nothing done to secure our property from outsider access either, and basically told that we should have put the stuff in storage. So my Insurance funds should pay for a storage unit to prevent theft by workers at my home? I can't say yay or nay yet about the quality of the work because it hasn't gotten started. SCAMMERS AND LIARS! BEWARE! The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because I can't give them zero. James S. is a con artist and a swindler. My husband and I are teachers. We had catastrophic water damage in two areas of our home. James promised over and over (verbally and in writing) that he would not charge us more than the insurance payout. We had asked early on what it might cost to have our second bedroom flooring done to match what was in the room that had the damage. James would not provide an amount, regardless of my asking multiple times, so we just let it go as we were planning to move anyway, assuming the carpet would just stay as it was. When I left the house for the weekend so that the flooring could be finished, his men redid the flooring in that bedroom without ever confirming with me or telling me the cost. James called when everything was finished and said that because it was poor communication on his team's part, that we could take three routes. I could 1) Pay the full amount of $2200, 2) split the difference with him which he thought made it "fair", or (3) not pay that extra money at all, since they did not have my permission to do that floor in the first place. When I made it clear how unhappy I was about that, he threatened me with late fees for nonpayment (before I ever saw the invoice!). Then he sent me certified mail that overcharged me over $1700. He refuses to email me back to explain what I am being overcharged for, and now I am trying to contact a lawyer. DO NOT USE COPPER CREEK! THEY ARE LIARS AND HAVE NO VALUES. read more

I hired Copper Creek Construction after they were recommended by our restoration company for repairs following a master bathroom water leak that caused damage in the kitchen. What was advertised as a 2-day job took 36-days due to poor work quality, poor communication, and exacerbated damage caused by their construction teams. Their General Contractor, Chris, acts like he wants to help resolve issues but will ignore calls and texts when his construction teams complete poor quality work. His team comes and goes as they please and then have the audacity to be upset when you're not home when they show up hours late or with no prior communication. To be clear, their drywall repair team - great! No issues. Their cabinet repair team was awful. Cabinets were reinstalled and they attempted to use colored caulk to "repair" damage to the cabinets. This resulted in obvious seams that didn't previously exist and noticeable color distortion. When we requested they fix it we were repeatedly told "that's the way it already was". When the contractor came back to fix his first instance of poor work, he used a paint sprayer to repaint parts of the cabinets. He failed to properly seal the area which resulted in a film of gray paint covering our entire kitchen and living room. We were told it was "saw dust" and the employee refused to address the issue. We repeatedly had to call CCC 24/7 number until they stated they would send a cleaning crew the following day. There is still visible paint on my couch, chairs, and dining table. Despite Javier showing up and spraying paint remover on my wooden dining table without asking, resulting in obvious areas that are now missing sealant and color. We were repeatedly pressured to sign our work completion order despite work not being complete (missing trim, missing caulking, paint damage to ceiling and other walls). I would absolutely do not recommend working with Copper Creek Construction. They only want to do poor quality and rushed work while blaming the customer. read more

Rude, Unprofessional I called Trademark Restoration for a quote related to water damage from an overflowing toilet, and they sent James from Copper Creek Construction to do the review. I had received Trademark Restoration as a referral from a friend of mine who does construction law, so I was interested in working with it. Nevertheless, when James arrived, he was immediately agitated and aggressive when I told him that my insurer sent Service Master to do the repair and remediation work, and we needed restoration services. When I explained to him that Travelers asked me to get quotes, which I had already relayed to Trademark Restoration, he was snarky and rude. When I asked him why he was being so aggressive, he stormed off and left. No big deal. After I relayed what happened to my friend, and she saw the name Copper Creek Construction, she told me that it was for the best. I already had great interactions with Pro Restoration and Ute Construction related to getting measurements and quotes, so good to experience the lack of professionalism from Copper Creek related to simply getting a quote. I had the most amazing experience with James and Roger at Copper Creek! I had a series of unfortunate events happen at my house leading to wet drywall that had to be repaired. Only going off of recommendation, I called James based on a referral to get a quote. He was absolutely incredible and knowledgeable, we went through the whole house, he suggested some things and appreciated his expertise. When it came down to the job, Roger managed it and the guys who did my house were incredible. Before Copper Creek a lot of the work done in my house was pretty shotty and it's apparent after they got done with their work. It was impeccable. We had some water damage on our vaulted ceiling that needed repairs. My insurance company referred them to come out and give me a quote since the another company gave me a bogus bid. James got in contact with me the same day my insurance agent put in the request with them. He came to my property the next day. After approving the bid which was way less than the other co. He had me on the books the following week. Philip the super intendant followed up and walked me through the repair process. They came in to do dry wall replacement/repairs, texturing and paint in a matter of a few days. They covered everything up and didn't leave a speck of paint or mess. Philip the came out to do a quality inspection to sign off on. The ceiling looks great and matches perfectly. I was afraid the texture would be off. The office lady called after for final payment and all was done! They recently sent me a thank you package which was a nice surprise! James even said they had around 180 projects going on at that time. My job was small, but I didn't feel like I got less quality, customer service or delays from them being busy. Beware of Company. They have a deal with the Las Vegas Fire Department. Someone from the company is in cahoots with the city and they are ripping people off right and left. We called the Fire Department because one of our tenants smelled something from the unit next door (the unit was not on fire or anything like that). It turns out that a homeless person had gotten into the unit next door. So without informing us or the tenants next door, the Fire Department calls this company who comes to put up 1 piece of plywood and a couple screws on the door (all of which was ripped off the following day by the same homeless person). We later got a bill for $827.00 from this company. I call to find out first who they are and why they are sending me a bill (I never approved for them to do anything on my property). They tell me that the Fire Department hired them to come out and they boarded up 1 Window and Screwed the door shut. I was surprised why it was so expensive and the ladies' response was that this was an emergency call and "We charge from the minute we get the call, not for just the work we do." And IF we didn't pay, thats fine, they will put a lien on our property. She knew that they had us cornered and they are going to get their money one way or another, as they are in partnership with the Fire Department. I made multiple attempts to resolve the issue with the owner and the lady over the phone to resolve the issue by paying a fair price for the services rendered, but that was NOT an option for this company. They wanted the full amount OR else they are going to lien the property. During the pandemic, businesses are closing down, people losing their homes, barely making ends meet, but luckily the guys at Copper Creek Construction are doing great, charging $827.00 for a $40.00 piece of plywood and 1 hour of labor. Thank you to the Las Vegas Fire Department for finding such horrible companies to work with. The citizens of Las Vegas are very thankful their tax dollars are being spent here. read more

Wish I would have read the reviews before hiring. Lior has a really bad attitude and everyone was really unprofessional throughout the entire process. There was little to no communication except for when they wanted money. They left a mess in my house which I had to clean up on my own and I've already had to do touch ups to the rooms because they were done so poorly. 7 months pregnant and I'm on the floor scraping off construction paper and duck tape because these guys are too lazy to do their jobs. I even had to haul the old vanity top out of the house on my own. Do yourself a favor and hire competent contractors that actually care about their work. read more

We suffered a terrible flood just days before Christmas. Our insurance company referred us to Copper Creek Construction and we've been grateful and thrilled ever since. Before the flood we were already thinking about a new kitchen and started calling people a few months earlier to get an idea. We had 3 (3!) licensed & bonded contractors to come out and start giving us some ideas and numbers to work with. One came, gave us a bunch of ideas and then didn't get back to us for a month. Another came and mentioned that he would probably have to use a ladder! And another came and said he would send a quote on drywall by Friday......we are still waiting, and he did our friend's kitchen! Needless to say, we shelved the idea. But then we had a disaster. From the moment James and Alex showed up we immediately felt at ease. All of the worry and fears and even sadness we had, disappeared and we started to get excited! James was extremely thorough, laying out plans and keeping within our budget. I never felt I was being swindled. He spoke in terms we could understand and every now and then threw in his two cents which was worth its weight in gold because of his experience. Then we met Alex who was on top of everything. Copper Creek scheduled every step perfectly and made a point to give us options for cabinet companies and flooring companies so that we would be comfortable with our choices. In addition, they personally introduced us to the people and held our hand every step of the way. Our renovation/remodel was a few months, there was a lot of damage from a leaking RO faucet. During this time, Alex and James were always available. At times we would text them late, 10pm, not expecting them to answer until the next day. But they would answer within minutes. If we needed them, they would stop their day and fit us into their schedule. I know for a fact that we were not one of Copper Creek's biggest clients nor were we spending an obscene amount of money, but they treated us as if we were their only client. In short, we would not use anyone else ever to do anything in our home. We still talk about the level of professionalism and wonderful attitude and skills this company has. This was the second repair on a bathroom that had water leaks from the condo above mine. The communication was better and the cost less than the company contracted by the upstairs owner's insurance the first time. They also gave quotes to the owner upstairs for repair of the issues should he decide to do more than a "band aid" approach to the issues in his unit. This week I received a surprise gift from them. Ultimately, we completely remodeled our kitchen and are very pleased with the results. Nick was the superintendent and was excellent, involved as needed and providing much appreciated suggestions and recommendations. Mark at Copper Creek completely blew off a 9 a.m Thursday appointment to finalize a complete master bath and bedroom remodeling job. He didn't bother to contact me and after waiting for him and the architect for two hours when I called the office they said said I was on the schedule but they "couldn't" find Mark. They never even BOTHERED to call me back or follow up that day or the following day to either explain, apologize or reschedule so I finally called them at 4 p.m., Friday and she acted like she had no idea who I was. She put me on hold then came back and said "Oh, Mark is out of town until Monday. Would you like to reschedule?" NO. I'd like to bill them for my time and my effort and the inconvenience they put me through. I find it hard to believe Copper Creek is even in business. I know they've lost another decent custom job since one of my neighbors had planned to use them. It serves them right. What a shoddy run business. At first, he agreed to send me an estimate for the work to be done. After three weeks of waiting, I decided to call and find out the status of my estimate. Mark said, "Remind me which home is this? What's the property address?" Then he proceeds to tell me that he is slammed with work and "most likely won't be forwarding an estimate". Great customer service Mark - well done. Dave took care of insurance company and put my many fears to rest, after insurance approval, they were out of here in two weeks and I couldn't be happier with the job they did.
