Nothing great, and the staff can be very rude and inattentive, especially after last call. They try to corral everyone out and tell you," everyone needs to be out before 2am so you have 10 minutes, even though it's 1:30am. Some manager type approached us at the end of the night and gave us the shpeel. My friend comments back actually we have 15 minutes and the manager was rude and snapped back, "No you don't! You have ten." And then looked at me and said "why are you furrowing you eye brows at me?" It was only 1:30 and we had already called an uber. Eventually he noticed we were uncomfortable and tried to play it off like he was joking but he was rude in general. He then proceeded to tell us about brunch. . . No thanks. read more

Love the atmosphere and set up here! Came here on karaoke night (Wednesday) and it was super fun! It's nice to have a place like this in Oxnard! It's a pretty big place, and they have indoor and outdoor seating and bars. We ordered food here, and it was good. The nachos were good, although they got soggy too fast and too much beans imo. The Korean tacos were a bit too sweet for my liking tho... but the beer is on point! Def try this place out! read more

Great food, drinks & environment what more can you ask for!? My company hosted our annual holiday party here this last weekend & man was I blown away with how everything turned out! We unintentionally ended up waiting till the last minute to organize our company party of about 100 guests & were looking for a more casual but lively environment, so I took a shot & contacted copper blues to see I they could accommodate such a large party in a short window frame. I sent them an e-mail & within a few hours the owner, Heather, replied with all the information I was looking for & more! I was pleasantly surprised with how prompt she was & how easy she made the process. We made an appt. with her to go over the menu & see how she'd plan to set up the next day & had the place reserved & everything set for our party that same day. She answered all our questions with a smile & reassured all our requests would be met. It was exceptional. She came by during the party to ensure things we're going smoothly the whole time, her staff was very prompt & friendly, & despite the temperamental weather (very cold & strong wind) her staff made sure the food was being rotated what felt like every 5 minutes & the buffet table was never just left sitting there, someone was tending to it throughout the whole evening! The staff also made sure everyone had a drink in their hand which is one thing you always want in a party. The live music was a huge hit with everyone & we have heard nothing but praise for an awesome time. I recommend Copper Blues 100% I can't wait to go back & looking forward to working with Heather for our future events!! read more

This is probably going to become one of favorite hanging places. I really liked their service that was provided at the bar was great. Also the drinks and the food were delicious. The crowd and the vibe was amazing. The band that they have isn't my type of music, but it didn't really bother me. I truly recommend checking this place out. read more

I came to Copper Blues because my friend invited me to Salsa Sunday. They had a live band who alternated with a DJ. Atmosphere was pretty good, until I got confronted by one of the girls who worked there.. she came out of nowhere, pretty rude and strong, and asked me why I wrote "0" on the tip... but she called me by a different name. I did leave a tip on my check, and i was being called by a different name. I set things straight by telling her she was talking to the wrong person and even offered to show her my ID.. however she did not look at my ID, did not apologize and just walked away. Honestly, I felt like someone who came to a party for free and did something wrong. Instead of a costumer who paid a fair price for drinks, tips, and music. I would come back but I would request to be served by a different person. read more

We first came here when it opened. Service was poor and the food was fair. We came back a second time because we loved the live music and the atmosphere. The second time we sat at the bar and the service by the bartender was much better and the food was ok. We attempted a third time tonight and we will not be returning. We found a table in the middle of the restaurant and there was live music playing. After about 10 minutes we finally received menus. After another 20 minutes, we left since no one ever came to take our order. Numerous servers walked by us but would Not make eye contact or just ignored us. It's really sad! I really wanted this place to be great. We love coming to the Collection for dinner and entertainment. What is even more sad, my husband emailed the restaurant after our first visit letting them know that we thought the atmosphere was great and we understood that they we new, and gave them honest feedback about the service and food. Came here for my very first time on a Monday night which was my first mistake... I ordered a steak medium rare and it came out burned and tasted terrible honestly the worst stake I've ever eaten in my life. I wish i could have had a better experience. The place is nice, I like the ambiance they seem to always have good entertainment BUT, their services needs some work. In particular their bar tenders. Went last night with some friends, and at first we were able to order drinks without a problem but after our initial order it seems like they completely forgot we were there. I understand Friday nights are busy hours but they had 4 bartenders at the same time. They seemed overwheled and unorganized. Not only was the service slow but we also got charged for the wrong amount of drinks and 1 of them never made it to us. We decided to just pay our tab and go to the yard house which had a bar just as busy but much better service. Atmosphere is great. Music is AWSOME. Even better, it's meant for the family. Only downfall.....it takes FOREVER to get a waitress to help you out. It took 1/2 hour to get our drinks last night. The place has good decor and there is abundant room. The service is good, especially for drinks. The noise level not too bad, at least early on, before 8:30 pm. The salad with oil and vinaigrette was a mixed bag: the veggies were heaped and sufficient variety but both oil and vinaigrette were almost not existent. I've been to Copper Blues at least 5 times and I have had a great time every time. They definitely get packed but I have been lucky enough to get a booth or table every time I go. Edgar is a phenomenal manager and willing to make sure you are taken care of properly. The pork belly tacos are delicious and prepare to share the chicken nachos! The mixed drinks are delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed my Topa Topa Brewery Chief Peak IPA! Cool place, food is decent and properly cooked. Never had bad service. It is a bit pricey though... good beer but it's $7-$8 per beer. I liked the atmosphere for a weekend out. If your not into having to yell over a live band then try to sit farther back. Most of the bands seem to be standard cover bands. read more

Bad customer service and overpriced. There was one particular bar tender that was very rude. A friend and I went to buy a bucket of beer that included 6 of them. The total came out to be 42$. I gave the guy my card and my friend was going to give him a tip at the end of the transaction. The bar tender gave me the receipt so that I could sign the amount and tip. As soon as I gave it back he gave me attitude because I did not include a tip. But my friend was the one who was about to give him a good tip in cash. We decided to not give him any at the end. During the time we were there, he kept giving us looks and would not attend us wen we went for more beer. As of recently, every time my girls and I go, the basic customer service needs and requirements have been lacking beyond description. Today, being the 4th time we've had less than satisfactory service, we decided we will no longer be wasting our time as it only gets worse every visit. Kelly, our bar tender, was extremely rude and disrespectful. When we asked for a refill, she rolled her eyes at us and just walked away. Some time later, what I can only assume was the bus boy, ended up finally refilling our drinks. Also, after asking for menus (multiple times) we still hadn't received any after an hour of waiting.
