(I had both the pneumatic seat tube and the cracked lumber pad replaced.) I worked with Nan and Albert and they were both extremely friendly and responsive. It took a few weeks for my parts to come in, which I paid for in advance, and then the repair was done on the same day. I dropped off the chair in the morning and picked it up in the afternoon, although I had the option to wait for the repair. Overall, I'm very happy with the service that I received.

Herman Miller Aeron chair ... if you've ever listened to NPR chances are that this phrase has been…read moredrilled into your subconscious. For years and years I have heard this mythological unicorn of a chair advertised on the radio, but I've never really seen one in real life, much less been encouraged to sit in one. All of this changed recently, thanks to Workplace Resource which, unbeknownst to me, is a local dealer of said chairs. The way I ended up at Workplace Resource is a sad story with a happy ending. It goes a little something like this. I have logged many, many years in Dilbert-style office environments, complete with old, beige, misshapen hand-me-down, who-knows-where-it-came-from furniture. The furniture I am referring to is the stuff of non-profits and government office buildings, where old furniture goes to get even older. As I have found out over the past couple of years, an inappropriately-sized chair is not only inconvenient, but also painful ... and I've got the chiropractor and physical therapy bills to prove it. As a short person in a tall world, my chairs have never EVER fit me ... that is until my current employer treated me to a visit to WorkPlace Resource, where all the office furniture is young and beautiful and ... well, you get the picture. As it turns out, it is also a "Working Showroom" which basically means that all the employees are sitting in modern cubicle structures and office chairs that the rest of us can only begin to imagine in our wildest dreams. Not only do this help the employees look happy and provide good customer service, it also helps make all of this suuuper-fancy furniture seem less intimidating and much more attainable. All of that being said, I want to be clear that all of this nouveau rich furniture is available at a price that is not inconsequential ... I'm talking $500 to $1,000 as starting price points people ... but if your employer (whether it's a corporate fat cat or Uncle Sam) wants you to stay seated and productive all day long without having to worry about worker's comp, then these price tags are a mere pittance. During my fun and informative visit to Workplace Resource, I felt a little bit like Goldilocks and the three chairs. The first one was tooooo big, the second was toooo small, and the third one was juuust right. They all came with bells and whistles that I had never been treated to in my previous chair ... things like built in lumbar support and rotating armrests and strange knobs that adjusted the tension (!!?!) on my would-be chair. After we picked one out, we went to a room *full* of fabric swatches where I got to customize my chair. In case you are wondering, we got sensible black and grey, but if I ever gather enough coins to go here on my own dime, you better believe it's gonna be a festival of crazy-colored fabric. Until then, I'm gonna be living large in my new Herman Miller chair.

Steve (the owner) spent a lot of time helping select just the right frame. Everything needed to be accurate; proper depth and texture, etc. I am beyond pleased with the work here. He's got a staff of artists who understand how important framing is. From the smallest jobs to the biggest, they nail it. I won't go anywhere else. The pricing is incredibly fair and it was far less than I expected to pay. A++++++++

I was originally referred to Contessa, but they were booked up and could not turn this in time. Contessa recommended DTW so I took me two drawings in and met the owner. The framing was actually done before the promised date and looked exquisite! One of my pieces sold at the opening reception and the other sold a few weeks later! The show closed on April 19th and I received an email from the Neill-Cochran House Museum that one of the 2 pieces was voted "Fan Favorite" by those who visited the exhibition! I will definitely use DTW again for my next show and highly recommend you check them out!

UPDATE: Recently went back to get more ACL gear framed. Malu did an amazing job, will be back…read moreagain! We had a great experience getting our ACL gear framed by Malu. Malu was clearly very passionate, creative, and knowledgeable when it came to picking out specific frames and mattings to really make our items pop (she was very patient in allowing us to look through various samples until we found the pefect combinations for each piece). Pricing was super transparent and fair, lead time to get the framing was great especially for being during the holiday season, and Malu was super communicative throughout the process. The shop itself was very warm and welcoming. Malu does a great job of hanging pieces throughout the space so you can get a sense of the options and styles that are available. We will definitely be back for our future framing needs!

A loved one passed away a few months ago. In going through their belongings, I came across an item…read morethat immediately had immense sentimental value for my family and I knew it had to be professionally framed. By chance, I visited Blue Skies Art & Frame shop on the first or second day of its opening. I had not scheduled an appointment and Malu wasn't quite yet ready to be able to serve a walk in. I mentioned I would be leaving town for a month or two that same day so I, unfortunately, would not be able to schedule an appointment around that time. I was very understanding as to why I couldn't be helped but to my pleasant surprise she accommodated me without hesitation. Malu guided me through the process with such patience and positivity that I left knowing my personal item was in the best possible place and in the best possible hands. Malu kept me informed on the progress throughout the process, which I appreciated. After months went by, I finally returned to Austin and her shop. I still remember seeing the finished product for the first time hanging on her wall and immediately being blown away. The frame absolutely exceeded my expectations, and I could not be happier with how it came out. Even though Malu had been busy the months prior getting her business set up, she still remembered how important the item was to me and treated it and me with care to the very last moment. The fact that the frame came out beautifully and my family loves it, is the cherry on top. I'm not one to write reviews, but this is the best framing experience I've ever had, hands down. Malu is a great person, extremely talented, and you can trust her to deliver high-quality work.
