Over the past 30 years or so, we have purchased flooring from Copeland's about 5 times. Regardless of if it's the whole house or just one room, Copeland's exceeded our expectations. Tod & Kyle are knowledgeable about the current decorating trends as well as of the attributes of each product line guiding us to make selections that were perfect for our space and needs. I dreaded the installation process, but the crew was impeccable. I'll never know how they got my entire house of furniture moved out and back in PLUS installed carpeting in my whole house. It was amazing to see the crew working as a team. They didn't even have to talk - they just knew what the other was thinking and did their job like the well-oiled machine they are. We had them install wood flooring based on our contractors recommendation. It took them 3 times to get the stain right, boards had holes and big gaps between. After being non responsive to repeated request to come out and take a look and warranty the work Todd finally arrived and then said sorry warranty expired... Really disappointed in his workmanship, materials and warranty. Zero make it right posting this as a warning to others. read more

When we moved into our new home last summer, we knew we wanted to make some changes to the floors. The living room and master bedroom had light carpet, whereas the dining room, hallway and office had beautiful hand-scraped hardwood. We are not big fans of carpet since we both suffer from Texas allergies. We shopped around but I finally received some great advice from some friends of ours. They had recently had a new home built and had Copeland's do the flooring. Now, these friends are picky, so I knew they would steer us in the right direction. SO glad I heeded their advice! After visiting the Copeland's store, Kyle came to our house to take a look at what we wanted. I will have to admit that my husband, God love him, sometimes thinks he is a know-it-all, a pro at everything. He doesn't know a diddly squat about flooring, but he would tell Kyle he wanted something that would not end up working well. Kyle would gently guide him to what would be best for our house. Very patient!! Kyle inspected the hardwood that was present and took photos. We didn't know at the time that he could apply the wood, hand-scrap it and stain it to match our existing. I will have to say, I was a little nervous about this. The employees, who were courteous and cleaned up the rooms each day, removed some of the existing wood in tiers, then replace with the new, to tie it all in. Let me tell you, they did an incredible job. The flooring downstairs flows so well and you would never be able to tell that they were not original flooring. It is so nice to not have used carpet (sorry, it's just a quirk of mine) and the floor is easy to clean now. We have been so impressed with their company and they have also done work on two bathrooms upstairs. One, we had the tub removed and replaced with a walk-in shower. Their work is top-notch. They are currently working on the other, replacing the tile and adding a glass door to the tub. Oh, we also had them replace carpet in the media room with new, much cleaner carpet. I have used Copeland's for years. They are a small business but have top quality products, installers who are meticulous who have worked with them for 15+years and do beautiful work. They have done my bathroom, tile flooring, patched wood flooring perfectly and all of my kitchen tile work. They even connected me to former home builder who renovated my entire kitchen taking it from the original studs to a showcase kitchen. I highly recommend their work to anyone. read more

We have done business with Copeland's Carpets and More for decades. Copeland's replaced our ceramic tile in the game room, kitchen, and dining room with luxury vinyl with beautiful results. They also replaced the carpeting in three bedrooms also with outstanding results. The most stunning part of the work they did was tearing out the bathtub and putting in a walk in shower, frameless glass shower door and replacing our old outdated vanity top with a new granite top. Copeland's is a very professional, honest and fairly priced family owned business. You won't find better people to deal with than Tod Copeland his son Raine. I highly regret using this company for my flooring! While the product they used appears to be of decent quality, the installation was done very poorly. The floor was not leveled prior to installing planks, trim was broken rather than sawed (and the guy refused to do it correctly. He would only caulk over it and didn't even do a good job at that.) Pieces were cut too short and then pieced with tiny pieces (approx 1 inch), corners were not cut diagonally but straight and did not meet up evenly, etc. Lots of little things that just kept adding up, and to top it all off, Tod, the owner, says "don't worry, it will be taken care of" and then refuses to answer or respond to phone calls or messages. Trying to get the job "final fixes" finished took 5 attempts, 4 of which they completely just stood me up. No courtesy phone call, no cancellation, nothing. I was just left waiting and waiting. When I called to find out what was going on or if they were on their way, my calls went to voice mail and were not returned for days, if at all. Most often I have to keep calling and calling in hopes of reaching someone. At this time, less than 3 months after the job was supposedly done, trim is completely coming off. I reported this to Tod last Tuesday (10 days ago). Here it is 11 days after I called and sent pictures of the problem and it isn't fixed. The amount of effort I have expended just trying to get a basic job done has been unbelievable, and it is not even done well...still needing "fixing". It is so frustrating! Working with them is exhausting. Either they simply have poor workmanship and poor service, or they simply take advantage of people. I would highly recommend not using this company and wish more than anything that I could get a refund and have someone else do the job right!!! read more

I want to let people know about the experience my wife and I had with Copeland's Carpets & More. During the sale Tod had told us how meticulous and professional his crews were. We could not be happier with how the installation of the wood floors went. They were very careful when they moved our furniture out of the rooms they were working in. They covered everything to keep the dust off of the furniture. It seemed like someone was always cleaning to keep our house neat. This was a three day project. It could not have gone better. Saved for several years to finally get my dream of hardwood floors in our house. After discussing all options, we went with an engineered wood suggested by our flooring person. I actually wanted sand and stain, but was told it was a bad idea and engineered was just as good. I originally picked a different engineered wood option, but this was cheaper (definitely not cheap and I was told this was not entry level flooring, but instead high quality) than the one I wanted and came highly recommended by our salesperson... Said it was the most popular and everyone loves it. We could only afford the downstairs living space at the time, which cost $13k+, so this isn't a story of "you get what you pay for". We planned to save for the rest later. They started in the kitchen and before they were done with the living room or we could live our life in our home, the kitchen floor was deeply scratched. We were told they would replace that board (they didn't-they marked it with a pen instead), but not to worry about it. Within two weeks the entire floor was scratched up and looked awful. We were told it was just the poly, not the wood, that everyone feels this way when it goes from new to not new, and that it was our dog's fault (the dog they knew we had when suggesting this floor). Within a few months, I was complaining that we had exposed raw wood throughout the house. This is definitely not just the poly. Gashes everywhere. I was not even letting my family play on the floor bc it was too fragile. Everything had pads on the bottoms and I was doing everything I could to keep everyone off the floor AT ALL... I sent photos and they agreed it was unacceptable-they seemed shocked by what was happening and mentioned that maybe it was a manufacturer defect bc they had never seen anything like it. But they never came back or did anything about it. We were told they would come out at the 6 month mark and replace any badly scratched boards (they didn't). We were told they could do this yearly (they won't). When I said I wanted it replaced, I was told they could find replacement options and do it "at cost", which would probably be another $4k. I would have taken it. What I really wanted was to pay the difference for them to remove this junk and give me the floor I originally wanted, but I would have taken any of the options given to me... I never heard from them again...$13k+ and there is ZERO warranty. Not even one day. ZERO care about customer satisfaction. I hated this floor (that they suggested) before it was even fully installed bc it was clearly not for people with kids or dogs or feet, but no one cared. Biggest waste of money. Now I'm having to save for several more years to have this replaced. I still can't believe it. read more
