So imagine my surprise when I set up a time for a PiYo (pilates-yoga flow) class here. The space is large and very well maintained and clean. (God, I love clean, I hate when you're in down dog and spy a hair cluster that sweeping missed). Lovely space. Good class selection. Seriously, if this were on the coast, users would probably pay $150+ a month to join. I've been to one class, hope to get in one more, but from one pro to another, Sarah Fechter has a good thing going. Keep it up and keep giving Saginaw a place to get their fit fab on. The only thing preventing me from giving it a full five stars was the reservation system. I found it really odd that FB posts/replies were how spots were reserved. They would probably be better served transitioning to MindBody or MYiClubOnline for class reservations so you don't have to wait for a FB reply to see if you're in or not.

(What a great name for a CrossFit gym in the heart of DOW Chemical's town!) I went to their website and appreciated that the class times and WOD were listed on their website. The part that really sold me was that your first visit is FREE! How perfect! I arrived for the 5:45pm class and was greeted by Sidney, one of the coaches, along with 3 very cute golden retriever pups. What a welcoming committee! Although I loved the dogs, I will add that the dog hair everywhere really wasn't very pleasant. The workout was tough but not impossible and the gym members were all very welcoming and friendly. I felt right at home! When I'm in town again, I will be stopping by Chemical City CrossFit to get a great workout in!

The gym was small but had all the necessary equipment. The workout was challenging but not impossible with realistic Rx weights. The only reason I gave the gym 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the dogs. I LOVE dogs and the cute puppers were very well behaved but sadly there was hair everywhere. It's unfortunate that I am having serious issues with Seung-ni Fit Club, as before these problems…read morestarted I would have given a much higher rating. Alas. Basically, Seung-ni had to close down one of their Saginaw locations due to financial reasons. This is totally understandable, but they only provided a few days notice before the location closed, and are not providing adequate and fair compensation after imposing this large inconvenience. For those that had their home gym closed suddenly, we were not charged for the June membership. Yes, this is great, but what I really want are the classes that drew me to Seung-ni in the first place and what I am paying for: the kickboxing classes. I went from having an opportunity to take a kickboxing class nearly every day of the week to only being offered 3, two of which are on Tuesday (my muscles cannot do 2 of those classes in one day, plus one is at 5:30am), and the third on Saturday, when I am either away on the weekends or spending time with friends and family. Obviously, I was upset for being charged over $50/month for services I no longer receive and utilize. I emailed management multiple times trying to talk with someone and see if there were other forms of compensation that could be taken so I did not feel cheated, and never received a response. Eventually I reached out on facebook, and have now been receiving messages from a staffer, none of which are helpful. At this point I am so fed up with the business that my desire is to break my annual contract, but they flat out refuse to entertain the idea; Seung-ni obviously just wants to continue to take my money despite having a grossly unsatisfied customer. I am sure that people benefit from this gym membership, but to me they are not coming across as a business that has the customers best interest at heart, and for that I cannot in good faith recommend them to anyone. I really am bummed about this experience.

They love the children under their tutelage. It has been a wonderful experience watching my son and the other students around him grow in strength and character. My wife and daughter are now participating in the Kido fitness classes they offer. Gold Medal Martial Arts of Saginaw also has activities and trips outside of the regularly scheduled class times. We participated in the Cinco De Mayo parade in our town. We walked in the Heritage High School Homecoming parade. We attended a minor league baseball game. They also have nights where parents can drop off the kids for movie fun, with snacks and activities. They threw a business anniversary party at one of our local parks. They offer free, activity driven birthday parties for their students. Overall the parents, students and instructors are like one large extended family.
