Yelp is unfairly rating Diversified 3 stars (, when in my 1.5 year experience Diversified Fitness Club has earned top ratings in every category that matters. I especially enjoy Yoga, Silver Sneakers, Pilates, other group classes, the professionalism of their staff, and now in better shape, feeling and looking better at 70 then I was in my '50s :-) I urge Yelp to stop screening and discarding all the positive comments other members left and give Diversified Fitness club five stars they've earned (even though they obviously don't advertise on Yelp :-) Be good to yourself, give Diversified Fitness a try.

Twice I have joined this place, hoping to give it another chance, and twice it has not worked. Unless you directly know the owners, do not expect to be treated kind there. They look at you like they are 100 times better than you. On one of my first visits, I had trouble getting my locker open, I asked for help and got laughed at as the girl behind the counter told three other members of my problem to which they also started laughing. I couldn't believe it. I had to have another gym member help me get it open. I've heard several other complaints about the helpfulness and kindness of the employees here. They aren't nice, they don't care, and unless you are spending a large amount of money here per month, you aren't worth their time. The place is hugely overpriced and there is never enough equipment available on the times you are there. Take my advice and go somewhere else. I promise you it's worth the drive to another gym.

I decided to start taking sessions with her not long after and I was immediately hooked. Kyli teaches and explains things in a concise and relatable way. She knows how to translate your long term goals into something achievable and shows you all the ways she's going to take you there. An encyclopedia on fitness, diet, how your body works, and anything else health related. On top of everything, Kyli is a blast to work with. Excited, pumped, and ready to kick butt. Do yourself a favor and get her to be your trainer.

I live on a farm so I'm in between Lapeer and Imlay City. This location is right by everything I need or go to, so I figured it would be enough motivation to go to the gym. It's a small gym, it's locally owned and the owners own the Lapeer, Davison & Imlay City Anytime Fitness locations. The gym is open 24 hours, staffed certain hours and once you join you get a key fob to enter for safety. The staff is wonderful, I'm doing the New Year's Challenge and the trainer is fun to work with and cares about your fitness goals and making sure you do it safely (not like me who likes to charge in head first and has no patience). It gets busy some nights but it's a smaller facility so if you're expecting a PF atmosphere you won't find that here. Everyone seems to be regulars and I've started to get to know everyone I see on my regular gym days. Definitely glad I joined this gym versus the other in Lapeer and accomplish my fitness goals!

Alright alright alright. I have to admit I was a total skeptic of coming to Planet Fitness based of…read moreprevious experiences at other locations. Yes, PF costs less and maybe gets a bad rep because they offer pizza Monday's and tootsie rolls at the counter. But I have to say. I was THOROUGHLY impressed with the Lapeer location and what they have to offer. Walking in, it's a standard size PF, and everyone at the front desk is very welcoming. It's the standard layout with cardio, weights, machines, etc. But what makes this place great? The machines are pretty new and they have QR codes you can scan to see how to use the machines. The treadmills are really nice, weights are nice, ab/stretching room, huge bathroom/locker rooms with nice shower areas and everything was really clean. I watched members make sure they wiped machines down when they were done. I had no idea they offered classes. Today I did the PF 360 strength class and trainer Mike is awesome! There's a variety of 30 min. classes that are easy to sign up on using the PF app. You use your phone to check-in, lots of great app features and honestly just blown away by how much PF has stepped up its services. Great gym, awesome staff, and glad I came back!
