I've been to various boxes across the east coast and Crossfit Brighton is at the top of my list (outside of my home box 410crossfit). The gym is nicely organized, well maintained and had a great vibe from the tribe. Dropping in was no problem and at a competitive price. They had plenty of equipment for a large class (about 20) and Nina (the coach) did an excellent job with breaking down the work out of the day. From a outsiders perspective, the communication was clear, concise and led to a great pre-holiday workout. I think the most important feature of this gym is how they run it and the vibe you get when you walk through the door. Classes consist of everyone from teens to grandmothers to pregnant moms-to-be to collegiate athletes and everyone is treated with respect no matter their skill set. The workouts are challenging, and the coaches keep a keen eye to ensure that proper form is used and makes sure nobody is putting themselves in harms way by trying to do too much or push themselves beyond their capabilities. While traveling through Michigan, I was fortunate to drop in 4 times with Crossfit Brighton. I really enjoyed the workouts and community. All of the coaches were very engaging and friendly - they immediately greeted me and made me feel welcome. All of the athletes were similarly friendly. Loved the structure of the classes - the workouts made the most of every minute. Challenging to any level based on the scale you need. I really appreciate the owner's responsiveness on email when coordinating to drop in. I will be back anytime I come to the A2/Brighton locale. read more

Tried them out for a month. Owners were cold and rude considering they are highly priced (nearly 200 a month.. Only 10 percent off for military and professional Rescuers), especially considering we found a larger, cleaner, better stocked CrossFit gym (CrossFit Menace) is in the same city, very nearby, and is much better priced (150 a month.. 100 flat for military and Rescuers). Almost no parking. Required you pay an extra month if you decide to leave. Changed gyms to Menace, very happy. Much better price, Big, clean, stocked and no month penalty if you need to stop membership. CrossFit is getting competitive, so archaic practices won't fly anymore. read more
