That means there's parking. And it's even free. - The people that work here are awesome. They are friendly and knowledgeable. - The pricing structure is spectacular. You pay $68/month. This gives you access to the gym from 6a-9p every day (yes, every day). You can cancel at any time (YESSS!!! I love them for this. I hate those gym contracts. So so much. I always feel like I'm getting scammed or talked into stuff I don't want or need too. Not here!!!) - The equipment is the shit. They have everything in there that I could want. I did enjoy doing crossfit when I did it... it was fun. But it was just too hard on my body. Regular gyms don't contain much of the crossfit stuffs (slam balls, wall balls, rubber bands, free bars with the big weights, hex bars, kettle bells, and more). This place fixes that by providing all this cool stuff, w/o the cost or crossfit workout. LOVE. They also have the rowing machines that I like to use and I'm excited to spend a little time getting into shape using them. :) - The "Lunch Hour Energizer" class put on by Jeff is perfect. Thirty minutes long, great variety, personal attention. I generally am not a class person, but this is more like group personal training. It's awesome, and I highly suggest you give it a try. What needs just a little TLC: - The website is hard to follow. It's hard to know the hours, what's actually included in the prices, and what the class schedule is. Their website doesn't need to have so much instagram on it, as it distracts from what they have to offer and what I'm there to do - see what the place is about. They should also have a link to their fb page on their main site. I had to go to fb and manually type it in. Okay, okay... first world problems. :) In a nutshell, this is my new favorite gym. I've been a member of a LOT of gyms. Have lived all over the world and visited gyms in other countries. So the fact that it's my favorite is saying a lot. Of course, personal preference on what you're looking for in a gym will alter your wants/needs. If you want a sauna and hot tub... well then, this isn't it. But if you want a solid workout that's fun with all the equipment you could need, here you go!

I moved out A2-way during the earlier days of COVID last year and needed a place to exercise. Remembered enjoying Wolverine Strength and Conditioning several years back and decided to give it a go. At that time, they were doing outdoor workouts, which was a big bonus! Plus, there were a lot of really great people both training and being trained. It was the most social thing that I was doing at the time - so not only did I improve my health by exercising regularly again, I also improved my health by having a social connectedness that was lacking in so many other areas of life. After the summer months, we headed inside. They made nice little "parking spots" with all the equipment separated out so that you had your own space. Of course they required face masks, per state regulations. But they also took extra precautions by giving us cleaning towels and products to wipe down the equipment after every use. They also had us go to the common areas in groups to keep contact down. Now that the weather is turning nice, they have told us that we will be going outside periodically again. It's SOOOO great of them to do that since it really is hard on the equipment, plus it's labor intensive. I honestly can't say enough good things about this gym. If you're looking to get your health in check (especially since we know that health is SO IMPORTANT when it comes to infectious disease) - definitely check this place out. You can drop in for free (one session), and then the $160/month is for month-to-month without an annual commitment. It's like getting a personal trainer - but for a LOT less! I cannot believe the changes I've seen in my body in less than a year... and how much more agile and good I feel. For the record, I'm 47 years old and feel better than I think I've ever felt. I may have gray hair... but I wouldn't mess with me if I were you! ;) Haha.

The lengthy contract that you signed, it cannot be terminated by making it crystal clear that you decide to terminate it. I still recommend this place due to the stellar trainers (i gave my trainer a very positive review on thumbtack) and very friendly, supportive, vibe, just be aware that you will have to yell and fight to stop being robbed afterwards. PS: just scrolled down others' reviews on google and unsurprisingly im not alone. Because my joints were so mobile, I was experiencing a lot of pain in my hips, knees and ribcage. I knew I needed to build muscle to strengthen my joints, but I was overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. Fortunately, I started working regularly with Cameron, and with his help I have made great progress. He's very encouraging and I work out much harder with him than I would on my own. Also importantly, because of his training, I have peace of mind knowing that he'll make sure I use correct form and not accidentally injure myself. Before I started working with Cameron, my ribs, knees and hips hurt. At points I couldn't walk more than a mile. Now I'm thrilled to say that I'm pain free, getting stronger by the day and no longer have mobility problems. The gains I've made with Cameron's help have had a huge positive impact on my day to day and I'm so happy to be able to trust my body again and no longer be in pain. Are you feeling out of shape and overwhelmed and don't know where to start? Try working with Cameron, and you'll safely see results and be feeling better soon! Thanks Cameron!

I've been here in all hours on different days and while it's not as busy as the one on Stadium Blvd. location, their crowd meter on the app vs the actual folks in the gym are off... not sure what kind of algorithm they use on that app, but some times it shows 1 bar when it's busy and show 2 bars when it's super busy. If you go in the evening - around 7:30pm, expect to run into a lot of the local high school students working out and unfortunately they like to spread out and it seems all the free weights and equipment's around that area are occupied. I also noticed they tend to stay on the equipment's longer than necessary as they are chatting with their buddies or on their phones. The ideal time to go is between 12:30-2pm. Not too many folks are here, maybe like 20 in total and you'll get a better chance of using the equipment's. I adjusted my visits now so I'm here around 1pm and out by 2pm and so far so good, no issues. I get to use the equipment's that I need. Yes, I go everyday :) For the weekends (Sat/Sun), I would recommend time frame of 9:30am to 12pm, I noticed that there's less people here during this time.... now, don't quote me on these times lol... things can change and probably has :) Staff are friendly and nice. No issues with getting my QR code scanned when I enter. But can someone tell me why the main entrance door's left door is always locked??? This is the first set of the doors from the outside. The decor looks a bit dated compared to say the newly constructed L.A fitness - but the facilities are quite comprehensive - I use the strength training facilities, my partner makes use of the included fitness classes, and my kids love the indoor play area and pool, and great outdoor pool / recreation area during the summer. Great place to host birthday parties too. Hard to find this combo anywhere else. I also find that Liberty being independently owned leads to better service than I experienced at L.A Fitness and Planet fitness - the people who work at Liberty have often times been around for years and seem to care more. If you are a solo adult, the extra cost might be harder to justify. But for our family, this is hands down the best fitness club in Ann Arbor.

In the last year they've been renovating quite a bit to update the spaces, equipment, etc, which has helped the overall vibe. They started by painting and reflooring the main workout room and are currently renovating and updating the indoor lap pool and hot tubs/saunas. The locker rooms are clean and the lockers are easy to use. The workout equipment is in great condition and even during their busiest times it's easy to get a treadmill or a bike. Plenty of TVs and things to keep you occupied with as well as you're huffing and puffing along. They have a few rooms for specialized classes--group fitness, spin and yoga. Now, I've only done the yoga classes so I can't comment on the others but the yoga classes I've attended were good (restorative yoga). I've always felt a million times better coming out than when I went in. There's a lot to do for families too. With a big kid's complex with a play area, rock climbing wall and indoor water park for fun during the winter months (also open in the summer). The outdoor complex is awesome and open Memorial to Labor Days. To be honest, this was the selling point for me. They have a few lap lanes for adult swimming (yes there are only two but I never had a problem getting a lap of my own this summer and I went several times a week) a bigger "play" area in that pool for the older kids/teens, and a splash/smaller pool for kids with a nice water slide. The outdoor cafe area has beverages, smoothies, frozen yogurt, and a few hot items for lunching. There's a small playground and even a few holes of mini golf in the complex as well. Plus outdoor tennis courts, of course. The club is big on tennis and they have a ton of courts inside as well. Plus classes, teams, and more. I feel like there's always a tennis club gathering when I'm there. There's a small indoor cafe as well with snacks, water, smoothies and such. They close around 7:30pm every day so it's more for lunch or a post-work pick me up before your workout. They have a small spa area upstairs with pedicures and massages. When you join you get a coupon for either or so I booked one and splurged on another. Great solitary environment. I had a beautiful pedicure and one of the best massages I've ever had. It's just a little pricey to do often, but if I could I would. It's definitely not a cheap membership, but I get a generous stipend from work for a fitness membership which covers most of the cost. If not for this I'm not sure I could swing it. But since I can, I try and make the most of my membership.
