Even when something wasn't to my taste, I'd come back and try something else--because that's what supporting small businesses looks like. I want local shops to thrive, not get swallowed up by big-box stores. That said, I was genuinely disappointed after seeing Jacquelyn's recent Facebook post. Everyone is entitled to personal opinions, but using a business platform to label people as "dangerous" and "unsafe" simply for having different views isn't community-building--it's divisive, and it's bad for business. Profiling customers and publicly signaling who is "acceptable" to walk through your door is not how you grow or sustain a welcoming business. As a result, I won't be spending my money here anymore, and I won't be recommending it to others. If the energy spent dividing the community were redirected into improving product quality--like making cakes that are actually moist and buttercream that doesn't resemble Play-Doh--it might do more good for the business than turning customers away. Supporting local businesses should feel inclusive, not conditional.

I'd known of Jacquelyn's for several years, yet had never gone in as we live about 14 miles away…read more We had our 2 yound granddaughters and decided to procure ffor them (and us!) a little treat. Goodies abound, cand there is a variety of caffeinated beverages as well as a number of tables. One in front seats 2 and is in a little nook, but was occupied. There are also tables in the rear of the store. Jacquelyn was working alone and was most affable and accommodating. We bought a bunch of things, including for later that day and the next. I'd highly recommend this for anyone with a sweet tooth, any coffee lover, and anyone fancying some gustatory delight!

It is with pleasure and honor as a Yelp Elite to add Five Loaves Sandwich Shop to Yelp…read more We are so glad we stopped here, what an awesome little sandwich shop located right in New Oxford Square, connected to Deja Brew. This is our 2nd visit in 3 days, we absolutely love the Italian Sub & Ham and Cheese Sub. The Sub Roll is perfect (They make their breads fresh daily here) ! The meats and cheeses along with a nice selection of toppings are all so very fresh and flavorful ! We can't wait to try some of their Paninis and Breakfast Sandwiches . They look amazing ! The menu offers a very nice selection of sandwiches and salad's .... The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and seem to really have a passion for their job . Service is outstanding, they make your selections fresh The interior is very welcoming and spotless, they do have a very heartwarming board on a side wall that folks and local business has pre-paid for food for those in need, awesome ! Inside the shop you can sit in between Five Loaves and Deja Brew Coffee Shop & Bakery. It's a must stop on the Bakery side, so many amazing pastries, cake, muffins and the list goes on We highly recommend supporting this small business

Today's was one star, bread was so burnt I thought I'd gotten the wrong bread when I unwrapped it. Looks NOTHING like their usual sub rolls. Was also weird plastic thin strips in it. Was a sad sandwich and took a long time to make. Seems like today was not their day. It'll be a while before I try again. Was over 15$ for sandwich chips and drink where sandwich was hard to eat just tasted like burnt dry bread.
