I've been a longtime customer of Jacquelyn's Bakery and have always believed in supporting local businesses. Even when something wasn't to my taste, I'd come back and try something else--because that's what supporting small businesses looks like. I want local shops to thrive, not get swallowed up by big-box stores. That said, I was genuinely disappointed after seeing Jacquelyn's recent Facebook post. Everyone is entitled to personal opinions, but using a business platform to label people as "dangerous" and "unsafe" simply for having different views isn't community-building--it's divisive, and it's bad for business. Profiling customers and publicly signaling who is "acceptable" to walk through your door is not how you grow or sustain a welcoming business. As a result, I won't be spending my money here anymore, and I won't be recommending it to others. If the energy spent dividing the community were redirected into improving product quality--like making cakes that are actually moist and buttercream that doesn't resemble Play-Doh--it might do more good for the business than turning customers away. Supporting local businesses should feel inclusive, not conditional. read more

I'd known of Jacquelyn's for several years, yet had never gone in as we live about 14 miles away. We had our 2 yound granddaughters and decided to procure ffor them (and us!) a little treat. Goodies abound,cand there is a variety of caffeinated beverages as well as a number of tables. One in front seats 2 and is in a little nook, but was occupied. There are also tables in the rear of the store. Jacquelyn was working alone and was most affable and accommodating. We bought a bunch of things, including for later that day and the next. I'd highly recommend this for anyone with a sweet tooth, any coffee lover, and anyone fancying some gustatory delight! read more

This bakery was amazing. They have astonishing baked goods and drinks. I got a blueberry lemonade and it was perfect for a hot summer day. They have so many choices and the lady working when I went in, who i'm guessing is the owner, was so sweet! She also helped us pick out our drinks. Would 1000% recommend! read more

Great baked goods. I've picked up cupcakes and cookies from here. I've been here around 3 times, 2 of them to dine in. I had a delicious black bean wrap and iced tea. The wrap is around $6 and comes with no sides. Okay, no big deal. Also ordered a pear pine-nut salad, which is where our issues started. The dressing, instead of a balsamic vinaigrette, was literally just balsamic vinegar. A little strange, but alright. Then, we get to the bottom of the salad, and the leaves are wilted and slimy. See the attached picture. We brought it to the counter and showed it to the chef, who became slightly defensive and stated that she only recently opened the bag of lettuce, implying that it wasn't her fault. She gave us a weak apology and offered to replace half of our salad, no refund offered. We declined her offer and left. I wanted to like this place because it's so close to where I live, but the atmosphere inside is listless and the cashier can't muster up a smile. This is a great little place. Stopped here after lunch to get some sweets. Cupcakes particularly. They only had 4 choices of cupcakes (1 each) and thankfully ones we liked. The cake part was good though it was cold, I suppose refrigerated to keep them fresh. The icing was a very sweet butter cream, typically not a fan of butter cream but this was good. Wide variety of coffee, teas and shakes. Lots of. Sweet treats, cookies, pastries and macaroons. Staff was very friendly. Very cute little place. Def a must try and must see. Enjoyed the small town bakery feel. read more

It's pretty good, but they should really carry everything they claim to. I looked at their menu online to make ordering (with my 5 year old in tow) easier, but they didn't have any of the food items I wanted. Now, what I settled on was good, and the customer service was great. read more

I love the bakeshop, the ambiance/setting is very nice. A good place to study or just hang out with people. As for the cupcakes I had two, almond and strawberry. I loved the almond, it was moist but not too moist and the almond flavor came through. The strawberry unfortunately was not moist, and the flavor did not come all the way through. Overall, I would most definitely come back and order more bake goods and other items on their menu. read more

We LOVE going here. We love their coffee, their smoothies and their bakery items and the place is just really cute and clean and comfortable. Small but solid lunch menu as well, with many vegetarian options, plus the best handcrafted lattes I've ever had anywhere. So disappointed. Cant speak for the baked goods, but ,obviously, coffee is not their thing. Ordered a latte and received a lukewarm cup that tasted like play dough. When I politely asked for them to fix it with another shot of espresso I had to pay for it. Still tasted horrible so I again, politely, asked to just switch to a cup of coffee. Was told that my choice of almond milk doesn't always turn out the best and it wasn't their policy to exchange orders just because the customer "didn't like it." They also told me it was prepared properly. We left immediately. I wanted to love that cute place, but the coffee combined with the poor service was my least favorite part of the day. :( read more
