Revonah is a great place to stop if you're a regular or just in Hanover for the day. It's one of those places you would drive by and never know it's there, but it's worth driving down the alley, worrying about your mirrors, and walking into the old brick building to get a pretzel fresh out of the oven. I've been going here for 40 years, and it never disappoints. My wife is from Philadelphia and I've even won her over with these pretzels. read more

They have the best soft pretzels and hard pretzels in Hanover. The extra dark hard are so unique. All the flavors are good. Wish they had cheese dipping sauce but you really don't need it. I visited here for the first time today and got to talk to the owner. He and the staff member were the nicest people! They gave me a short history of the business, and they really seemed to enjoy what they do. Finding the entrance was a little tricky and don't expect a cafe setting- this is simply a retail location to get a perfectly chewy soft pretzel and a bag of hard pretzels to-go. I "discovered" Revonah pretzels 44 years, during my freshman year in college where we bought large cans for fraternity parties. I have long considered myself a "pretzel snob" and these are THE BEST hard pretzels in the world. As I have moved around the country, it was difficult to track them down (as you will remember there was not internet until the mid 90's and website/on-line order is an even more recent phenomena). I started having them shipped many years ago and I continue to either have them shipped or I go out of the way when visiting friends in Baltimore to go to the factory to get them fresh. Ignore anything else you have read,... if you like a pretzel with real, German pretzel taste, these are the best. read more

I am from Pennsylvania, but live in Arizona. I never heard of Revonah, but decided to try their $25.00, 5 pounds of pretzels--it cost an additional $15.00 to send them to Arizona. I received them in a crushed box in about a week, most were broken. I didn't worry about that too much as I was going to break them when I bit into them anyway. However, it did bother me that the pretzels were in a plastic bag rather than a large tin can (think Charles Chips) at $5.00 a pound--or $8.00 a pound of you include shipping. In any case, I told myself, that maybe the "proof of the pudding is in the eating thereof", until I bit into one. The pretzels were over-baked, dry and crumbly, and so salty I could hardly eat them. In a word, they are awful-no wonder I never heard of this company and their pretzels. read more
