I stand by my previous review - here in PA we like Martin's - especially the Sour Cream & Onion rippled chips. Very crispy. Not healthy but a nice dietary "splurge" from time to time. You can also take a tour if you are ever out in Thomasville. read more

Martin's Potato Chips is located in Thomasville PA It has a factory tour and small retail shop where you can purchase almost every type of chip they make. i like their logo, its a kettle, just like a witch uses. but seriously, you get a free mini bag as a sample when you visit. they have great kettle cook'd chips of which my favorite is sea style kettle cook'd! read more

Cool place -- took my children on the tour. The employees were extremely friendly & accommodating to last minute travelers. Great product- we were able to eat the chips and popcorn fresh from the line. What a cool experience that was. At the end you were able to purchase from their store. Very nice, tour of the plant, great information about the history of the factory and information on the chip making process. Highly suggest this tour for everyone who likes chips !! read more

So much fun taking this tour. You learn about the history of the company and they take you into the factory to see how the potato chips are made. Our tour guide was awesome, answering questions and taking her time throughout the process to make sure everyone saw each part of the tour. She even took sooner odd the fresh chips off the line to have us try them. Worth the trip! read more

My husband started working here a few months ago. I used to hear a lot of good things about this company and would buy their products often. My decision has changed due to several factors. From what I've seen the company is having issues keeping employees and recently ones who have worked there for years quit. They work employees 6 days a weeks for weeks on end and no longer care to work with the employees. My husband was recently out of work for quarantine due to most of our household members testing positive for covid. The director of HR Cindy was given positive test results of our children along with a physicians note for my husband ordering him to quarantine due to him developing symptoms and having pre existing conditions. When our children tested positive by rapid he was ordered to quarantine a minimum of 14 days. He did test negative the first test but was told to test 5+ days later as a positive result may not show up right after exposure. Cindy never was clear on a return to work date based off of what she was sent and all she said was covid pay would be up after 10 days and she failed to respond to any emails from my husband when he asked when to return but sent out a letter saying he was terminated without an explanation 9 days after his ordered quarantine began. I don't understand her reasoning and to be a director of HR you would think that the communication would be better. I'm really upset that this company is willing to lower their standards. I mean would you rather wait for the quarantine to end or would you rather have possible infected employees around your food products when they aren't required to wear masks in the company? I just don't get it. I hope Martin's would do the right thing and rectify this situation but I doubt it so in the mean time I will post reviews and any evidence so that the local community is aware of how this company is. read more

I don't know if I will ever tour the factory, but Martin's potato chips are the absolute best. They are the only brand I buy anymore.

I called Martins potato chips explaining i had purchased a bag of their chips at a local specialty store and they were awful. They didn't have an expiration date on them that i suspect may have been removed and they tasted like the oil was bad. It could be they were not stored in a cool location that could have spoiled the oil. They responded with a letter stating that they would not stand behind the product because it was handled by a third party and not bought from them direct. I have the letter i can send to you if you like. I think it is just awful in this day and age that someone would have a policy not to stand behind their product. Shame on you Martins potato chips.. May god judge you for your lack or responsibility. If i could attach it i would have attached the letter to my posting. TH read more

Love, love Martin's Potato Chips! They are the very best! But, beware of their employees. I was just there to visit their retail store, but it was closed. When I pulled into a parking space, their spaces are very tight, a Martin's employee, jumped out of his car, as he was parked in the retail store parking area, and screamed that I parked too close to his car, even though he was almost over the line on my side. He stated I hit his car, I apologized, said let's look at the damage, even though I knew that I did not hit his car. Of course no damage. I asked him if we should contact the police, or what he wanted me to do. The entire time he is screaming (no mask on and spitting the entire time at me), calling me the most crude names! All while he is wearing his Martin's Potato Chip uniform. We were actually scared, and got right back in the car and left as he is screaming at my car as we were driving away. So, just beware of Martin's Chips employees, at least him, anyway! read more

The New Horizons thrift store in Canon City stocks snacks from regional brands not usually found in CO. I don't know if they regularly carry Martin's of if this was just a one time buy for them. So I thought I should try both the kettle cooked and the barbecue. I'm generally not a fan of kettle cooked because they're too crunchy and don't taste that good. But Martin's hits the mark! Crunchy but not as crunchy as other kettle cooked. And their Barbecue chip is the best I've run across in my adult life. Plenty of heat and not too sweet. Between Martin's, Utz and Snyder's of Hanover, does Lay's sell any potato chips in your part of PA? read more

Changed their chips sickening taste now went to Lays kettle cooked not like old martins but better than new ones was told by them had to change oils due to trans fat. read more
