Dillon came out and did a thorough tune up. He explained to me how various things worked and pointed out some repairs that were needed. I would use their service again. read more

72 Degrees/Cooper Brothers installed our new AC and it was such a smooth and professional service. From Maria in the office who handled scheduling and getting the necessary information to apply for the permit, to Troy who came over, measured and went to the city to pull the permits, to Eric and Shane who did the actual installation, it was awesome. Eric and Shane showed up on time and were detailed and thorough and finished the install in just a couple hours. They explained what they did and how everything worked and were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Cooper Brothers also installed our new furnace system last year, when it broke during the middle of December during a cold snap and they came out quickly and got us back to being warm and cozy in no time. The prices are fair, the employees are professional, friendly and take the time to answer any questions. Highly recommend. Thank you for the great service! read more

John came and took great care of us. He took his time, explained all the things he was doing and why. Provided great recommendations with clear explanations of why we should consider his suggestions. Overall we were very pleased with the service. Thank you John! read more

I have an older mobile home furnace. I've been a satisfied customer for at least 12 years. They are affordable and reliable. The A/C got me through summer but my heater took a dive once the cold weather hit. Patrick Hagan was my technician this time. He left no stone unturned and it's working again. Patrick really went the extra mile! I highly recommend 72 Degrees Cooper Brothers, ask for Patrick Hagan. read more

Finding a quality trades person is challenging. These guys are top notch! Good service, reasonable and honest pricing!

In July we contacted 72 Degrees/Cooper Brothers to come and do a maintenance inspection on our AC. John showed up on time, inspected our unit and suggested a few things that would improve our AC performance. He was very knowledgeable and not in the least high pressured. We felt very comfortable in having him update our unit, knowing that we would have a reputable company behind it if we ever needed them. At the time, we joined their maintenance club, which prompted them to come out last week to inspect our furnace. Patrick came out for this visit and did a thorough inspection, finding that the unit we had was not meeting our needs. We weren't surprised, since it hadn't been performing well for us. We received a very reasonable quote for a new heater and were contacted by Maria to set up a day to have this done. On the scheduled day, Shane and Nathan arrived on time and began the removal and installation of the new heater. Troy showed up as well and assisted them. We are very happy with Cooper Brothers. They are all very knowledgeable, respectful of our home and dedicated to making their customers completely happy. We are so happy we found them! read more

I called Cooper Brothers because they installed the unit at my last house. At that time, the owner came out, gave a very honest assessment, and we went forward with the install. This time, Dillon came out, an employee, but gave a long list of items wrong, all but one unnecessary in fixing the issue. I cut down a 6K list of items down to the primary issue and a few others, but a day later I really felt like I did unnecessary repairs, spending about half of the bill on replacing components that still worked. Although the work was done well (although when he worked on the furnace, he didn't take the time to retape some fallen insulation, something I would have thought he would have done as a courtesy), I don't like the feeling of being oversold, and having to negotiate down to the work needed. For these reasons I won't be moving forward again with them, but if you are OK knowing you need to be firm in cutting down the work order, they may work for you. read more

John C. from Cooper Brother's came out to check my A/C. The fan wasn't working so John analyzed the situation and determined that 2 expensive parts needed replacement. The job was completed with my total satisfaction. Thank you for provuding such a highly qualified HVAC technician. read more

They are respectful and helpful. Today they came out to troubleshoot some problems with our ac and went the extra mile. Thank you Shaun.

We requested a maintenance for our AC unit which was installed about 30 years ago and had not been checked in more than 5 years. Patrick H came to our home and worked for over 6 hours to clean and repair the AC unit and all of its parts. He took the time to carefully explain what he found and what was needed to repair the unit. He even removed a dead mouse that had somehow gotten into our AC equipment and died (presumably from electric shock). We were actually surprised but also pleased that he did not recommend we replace the entire Air conditioner, but instead did the necessary repairs and saved us several thousand dollars. And, we noticed a significant improvement in the performance of the AC when he was done with the work. We will definitely have him come back for maintenance again. read more

Cooper brothers did a fantastic job in replacing my old furnace with a brand new carrier furnace. The installation was smooth and the job was finished within 3 hours. Maria did a wonderful job in following up the city regarding the furnace replacement permit. read more

It was time for my annual furnace check up a few days ago, and Patrick showed up. He is a very courteous person and immediately got started on my yearly check up/maintenance. It wasn't too long, and he showed me a crack in the heat exchanger. Today they replaced the furnace and the three men working were very wonderful people. I highly recommend all of them. They were recommended to me by my friend and their neighbor, Carmen D'Agostino. He is living in Oregon now. Thank you to everyone at 72Degrees for your work today and I look forward to our annual visits. read more

Cooper Brothers installed a new furnace and AC for us a few years back. Everything's been great. Last week, it started to get cold, so I go turn on the heat, and I got cold air from the registers. I called Monday and got an appointment for Wednesday. John came out Wednesday morning and worked really hard to troubleshoot the problem. He explained what he was doing along the way. After he tried everything (or what seemed like everything to me), he recommended MTZ Plumbing (awesome people BTW) to take a look at the problem. John is really awesome. It's Wednesday evening. My heater is working as good as before. I'm really happy. I'm so glad I chose them back then, and damn happy to use them again. read more

Needed to replace an obsolete, non-standard furnace with something modern. 72 Degrees/Cooper Bros. had done these replacements in my condo complex, so I called them. Shaun replaced the part that kept failing, helping me keep the furnace going while I saved up for a replacement. On his last visit, he replaced the part and gave me an estimate for a new system that morning. Then, when I was ready, Eric and Shane did a great job installing my new heat pump system. Now I have AC in addition to heat--just in time for summer! read more

The time the technician took with me to explain the problem and the work needed to accomplish the job.

Zero stars if I could but Beware of lies, dishonesty, and sales... this company is all about sales and bypass the actual issue and recommends other possible scenarios that they spot. when I called cooper brothers 72 degrees I mentioned my AC was blowing hot air, the technician said I needed a new fan motor, I mentioned a possible leak, the tech then spotted something else and said a furnace motor that doesn't make sense he just went on and on without even checking for a leak, he did say I didn't have any refrigerant and charged me to fill it, not long later it went dry again, called them back and no refrigeran, I asked him it's a leak right he said maybe and never checked for a leak even though the first out he put a dye in the to detect a leak but never checked again and kept telling me other possible issues and selling product, I asked him do you guys get commission he said yes and that's when I knew this company is full of it and I will take it as far as I can to stop this nonsense. I called another company and explained what I thought and he said you have a leak and started searching immediately and found the leak in just one minute, it's very upsetting how low cooper brothers can go, I sent them an email and no response so I won't stop until I do because who knows how many others they screwed over and will keep doing so. I hope those who read this will stay away from tis company and advise others as well. Don't be fooled and do your research and go with someone else. I felt robbed and humiliated with this company it's embarrassing. May I add they even recommended a whole new AC unit which was only a leak at the braze of a 90 degree elbow 5 feet above the furnace In clear view. New unit over 11k...for a cheap system , the leak fix under $500 by the other company. Cooper brothers 72 degrees is a must stay away!!! read more

During the last heat wave, I knew there was a problem with my A/C. I received a postcard in the mail from 72Degrees and I called for a service appointment. John came out and was super thorough and respectful. He thoroughly checked my A/C and heater. There was a part that needed to be replaced in my A/C. John worked very hard to find the part. Initially they thought it might take a month to get the part, but he was able to find one and get it installed within a week. I am overjoyed with their work and follow through! I will call this company for all of my heating and A/C needs!! read more

Had two other companies attempt to resolve the problem with my furnace. Our daughter recommended Patrick from Cooper Brothers. Patrick came out and walked through the diagnosis and possible solutions with me. He found and resolved the problems. The previous technicians were not even close. Both my AC and heater no longer turned on via my thermostat. I initially thought it was due to the old age of my appliances, therefore, I contacted 72 degrees Cooper Brothers to have a consultation. They have different people for different services (i.e. replacement vs repair). At the time, I figured I needed a replacement. Mitch was their sales representative who made the first house visit. He went above and beyond to help troubleshoot and diagnose the issue. I never felt pressured to just replace the whole system. He was able to identify the root problem which was the broken circuit board. He coordinated to have their office schedule a repairman to come within a few days. Before I move on to the repair, I wanted to mention that Mitch made a house call because they had the wrong phone number and couldn't get a hold of me to schedule the repair. Mitch made the effort to come to my house to check to make sure they had the right phone number. I just couldn't believe he went out of his way to do that. It was truly appreciated. If I do end up replacing my HVAC system, Mitch will be my go-to guy! On to the repair process. They were able to get a repairman, Troy (which I learned through Yelp is their manager), to come within a few days. He was super friendly and was very patient and understanding of my 3 barking dogs lol. He was able to get the repair done in a timely manner (less than 2 hours) with no major complications. We now have a working heater again without having to replace much! This is my first encounter working with an HVAC service and I felt very well taken care of by this team. From being responsive to getting a quick consultation to having someone come by my place because they had a minor hiccup with my phone number. That service alone is just above and beyond. I do not plan to look elsewhere for my HVAC needs. This team definitely knows their stuff. They took really good care of me and I truly appreciate their work. read more

The Copper Brothers team replaced my Furnace and Evaporator Coil as recommended by the experts. The team installed the system and recommended to add a booster to improve the air flow. After two months we realized that the system was not properly tested, was not sealed and the freon was leaking, the Coil system was blowing air and the booster was connected to the air condition only. Very poor quality, didn't test and validated that everything is working properly which cost me more to fix after putting a new Air Condition system. That said, the team responded very quickly to our message, sent a professional to gather more feedback and refunded some of the cost. read more

Customer service outstanding! Cooper Brothers helped us to choose, and then they installed, our new HVac system. We wanted something that could really filter the air since i'm asthmatic. They advised us on the right one, and then came in to install it. There were three or four of them on the job, and instead of two days to complete, they were able to complete it in one day. The team was gracious and kept the place spotless as they worked in what was, outside, really muddy conditions. Today Patrick came by (lives near Willow Glen or Campbell) and helped us with a question we had - was again incredibly gracious and helpful. They left a great impression on us, for sure. When i compare them to many other contractors we've had in our home, Cooper Brothers are top-flight, but also very reasonably priced and thoughtful about our budget. You simply could not go wrong with this team of professionals. read more

I called Cooper Brothers to help upgrade the thermostat on my very old carrier system. I had tried calling several HVAC companies previously and none of them knew how to help me, but Patrick from Cooper Brothers knew exactly what to do. They were on time, professional, and flexible with scheduling. Moreover, Patrick recommended some reasonable repairs to my system to make it run better and last longer. Both my systems now cool noticeably better and hopefully I can get many more years out of them. Highly recommend Cooper Brothers, and will go to them for my HVAC needs. read more

We recently scheduled a diagnosis appointment from 72 degrees cooper brothers. The technician came and took a look at the system but ended up saying he is not sure what is wrong. Sean first upgraded my heater November 2020, he did a great job. I didn't know much about Yelp at the time. Although, I gave Sean 5 stars w/o posting a review. He had done a 5+ Star job. He had explained to me, explained several times, he was patient and wanted to make sure I understood. Thank you, Sean. Todays appointment due to a message I'd received about "filter change." Sean arrived again and helped me out. He went out of his way explaining and he reset the thermostat in my room to cooler during the night. Thank you Sean. read more

Patrick was beyond excellent in quickly troubleshooting my air conditioner problem, and I loved that he had a big truck with all the parts to replace what you need in a one-stop shopping/fixing appointment. In addition, he checked my heater at the same time to make sure everything is working. This guy deserves 10 stars on a scale of 5! I would like to make this review short and sweet. Everyone in the company understood what my families goals were and met them above and beyond my expectations. #1 in my book. Honest & knowledge. 10 out of 10. I've hired them for ducts & a new air conditioning system. Their team is fine turned & professional. The price is fair & they stand behind everything they do. Honest as the day is long. They go above and beyond any improvement company I've ever used. Maria, their office manager is also a great. She is very helpful & makes me feel that I am special. I'm a very senior citizen(82) and because of the updates that became necessary recently I have learned you're never to old to become interested in new technology. Today I had scheduled a Air Conditioning Service for my Townhouse in South San Jose. Its been probably a little over 10 years since the last servicing that was performed. My window was from 8:00 Am to 10:00 Am. First off my technician named Patrick called about 15 minutes before arrival and was there promptly on time. He followed all protocol for his arrival, mask identification and booties when coming inside my house. He went over everything as it related to my AC unit on top of the roof. We discussed maintenance and what services he would be doing for us. Patrick was very thorough and extremely professional. He showed me some parts that needed replacing and added Freon to my AC unit. He also made suggestions for my filters and periodic maintenance over the course of this coming year. My AC unit is an old unit but with the servicing and replacement of a parts it is running about 5-7 degrees colder now. I am extremely happy with Copper Brothers and the services that they provide. Very professional, reasonable pricing and state of the art customer service. I would highly recommend them if you are needing a quote for a new AC unit or just for servicing. I even joined their annual services at only $15. per month. By doing this I saved over $200. Thanks Patrick for doing an awesome job! Glenn in San Jose read more
