Steven and Simon are great guys who provided excellent service from the moment I reached out with questions about their services. I will recommend them to friends and family in the future! read more

I hardly write reviews(only 4) after all these years because it takes time and I don't get impressed easily. But this place I need to write about. Superb, Honest and Friendly service! Steve was upfront and mentioned what the problem was. He gave me couple of options with fair quotes and never pressured me into anything. The job was completed in just 1.5 hours and my A/C works perfectly now! They even cleaned debris off my car and while I was inside, his partner Simon even started and reversed the car for me so that I could easily drive onto the road. It's these little things that make a big difference. Treating and making people feel like special guests rather than a number. This place is a model of what all businesses should be like and would definitely Highly recommend Cool Tech to all my family and friends. Thank you for being who you are and please stay around for a very long time! read more

These guys were awesome! Simon took good care of my whip and saved me $350 on my AC repair from what the dealership was going to charge me. Go check em out and get a quote. They are right behind McKinley Car Wash read more

These guys are awesome!! It was a Friday around 4-5pm. My passenger window broke and it wouldn't roll up. It would roll up an inch and then go back down. After playing with the switches, it just wouldn't respond to the button. I called about 10 different car shops before but they either said they couldn't do VW or they were just about closing so they couldn't help me today, I had to wait until Monday. So, as a last shot I call this place (about 10-15 minutes before they closed) to see if they could try to get my window up. I figured they couldn't, but they asked what sound it made and said that they had to order a part so it couldn't be fixed today. I guess I sounded disappointed bc he said to just come down and he'll try to do what he can. He greets me and gets to work immediately on my window. My window control is being a little jerk and I felt bad because he was trying to manually get my window up, and it looked really frustrating to deal with the window malfunction and they already closed at this point. So he takes the whole door panel off with care, not rushing, figures out the problem, explains that he's gonna do a quick fix for now until I can come back or take to another place to order the part since he couldn't completely fix it without that part. He even disconnected the electrical unit from the control so I wouldn't accidentally press the button and have the problem repeat itself over the weekend! How thoughtful!!! Then they cleaned my window and door interior and did not charge me! They stayed to work on my window for almost an hour after they closed and they didn't charge me, didn't want to take my money, and weren't pushy about having me come back to them for the complete fix. But, I mean, obviously, I'm definitely coming back to Cool Tech. How can I not? They are so friendly and accommodating! read more

Simon filled up my AC coolant as is was only blowing hot air, got me through the day till I could leave my car with him the next day. He is kind, considerate, and explained everything he did to fix my AC. It is running so cold now it is wonderful! Price was right and service was excellent. Highly recommend him and friends have recommended him highly as well. Mahalo to Simon for excellent service! read more

This place is great. Simon's a great guy. He is very easy to talk to and very honest. I brought my car in because my A/C wasn't cold anymore. Called and made an appointment easy. I get there and Simon is there waiting. He greats me and I tell him what's wrong and he says he'll take a look at it. I leave my car and go to work. I get a call in the afternoon and he explains what's wrong. Long story short, my evaporator was bad and leaking and with parts and labor it was gonna cost almost $2,000 to fix. I told him it was too much and that it's ok. He said he charged it up but doesn't know how long it will be cold for. He said hopefully it can last maybe 6 months. Fingers crossed. Overall a great experience. Awesome, honest service. read more

Simon and Steve repaired my A/C blower. They were able to schedule me in quickly and completed same day. Honest, friendly, reliable, professional service. Driving down Pensacola take your first right after Kapiolani and the shop is 50 yards down on the left. Will be using and recommending these guys for all my future A/C auto needs. read more

I'm so glad I discovered Cool Tech. This place is so awesome. The service is great and so is the price. This used to be my when-all-other-place-fails-go-here-place, but now it's my to-go place for everything car related. Don't be fooled... just because their name is Cool Tech, they don't only do air cons in cars. They do battery, oil, and everything else too. Just call and ask! read more

I brought in my car because my AC wasn't working. I was charged $80 (fair amount) to have it diagnosed and was told that I had to replace my compressor and the signal connecting the AC to the compressor wasn't worked. I was quoted $1100 to repair my AC. When I asked further questions about the compressor, the guy wouldn't answer my questions and kept going round in circles about the connection. RED FLAG!! So I went on YouTube and searched for AC repair. Saw a clip about replacing a relay switch in the fuse box. Long story short and $20 later...I fixed my own AC!!!!! It's been about 4 months since I replaced the switch and I haven't had any AC issues. I can't believe these guys were going to charge me $1100 for a $20 part!!! My advice is go elsewhere. Honest mechanics are hard to find. They don't deserve the 1 star rating. read more

Awesome service! Truly dependable and honest professionals. As my car is older, it's needed several repairs. Each time I've taken my car here, I've received quality work. They've definitely saved me more than once! read more

Great job fixing my wife's AC and at good price. Quality work and care about customer.

I am so glad I stopped in to get my AC checked! Simon spent about 20 minutes troubleshooting why one side was blowing hot and one side was blowing cold. He came up with a great (affordable ) "work around" that would get my cold air back on both sides and said he could do it tomorrow as it was already late. Super nice guy and didn't try to take me advantage of my situation by selling me on something I didn't need. In addition he gave my car a check up while he was at it - as they do other stuff besides just AC. I definitely recommend and will return. read more

Very good service. Gave me an appointment on short notice and fixed my system for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Simon and Steve, these guys are great. My 2008 Mercury A/C diverter doors were frozen on defrost and they were able to perform a low cost fix without ripping out the entire dash at great expense. They also noticed that the radio had bad reception and restored the antennae while in the area. They even added a little gas because it was on low. Many thanks! read more

Awesome...can't say enough great things about these guys! I am so pleased I had taken my car here for A/C service. Simon and Steven were very informative, even though I didn't want to hear that my A/C compressor went out. I was hoping more for a simple problem, like a basic recharge or more coolant needed. Of course that wasn't the case...I needed a new compressor. They were very honest which put me so much at ease since I'm always a little hesitant about going to new mechanics (I've come across bad wolves before who take advantage because I am a female). They weren't pushy at all and let me think about the recommendation before deciding to place the order for the part. That shows someone, a business, who is not desperate for work; and I can see why these guys are not desperate for work....people must be breaking doors down to take their car here. I was so happy with the overall experience. I took my car in on a Wednesday, they ordered the part on Thursday morning, and I brought my car in that Saturday....FAST and EFFICIENT! Problem fixed in less than a week....awesome! Besides the great service which always stands out the most, here are other great points about these guys that made the experience even that much better and worthy of a max-star rating.... -They are very friendly and personable. -They are accomodating in any way they can be -They over-deliver.....they were done with my car quicker than the estimated time needed. :) Thanks so much, Cool-Tech! :) read more

Good honest guys. My AC in my 2007 car was blowing hot air. I received an estimate of $600-something to change a part. I must've made a sound of disappointment. Simon then asked me how long since I last refilled freon. After telling him it was about a year, he suggested that if $80/year refill works for me, he recommended I simply get a refill if I'm willing to take a chance. Eventually the part could be replaced if we really need/want to. Easy to talk to these guys, not pushy or overbearing. This is my new go to place for AC issues, found on Yelp. Awesome. read more

This place is the best! I inquired three weeks before I went about getting my front brakes done. Steve was who I talked to on yelp who gave me a good quote. The guy Simon worked on my car and everything was done at a good price and good service! I got quotes from four other car companies but those low lives gave me almost double the amount quoted here.. I'm definitely coming here again and I already referred one of my friend's to come here that has 7 cars.. these guys will get good business! read more

Just picked up my 1999 Toyota van from Simon at Cool Tech because the AC went out a couple of weeks ago. Took it in at 7:30 this am and Simon called me back a couple of hours later to tell me the evaporator under the dash was leaking. He said he had a replacement evaporator in stock as well as all the other parts needed to fix my van which was surprising considering it is 20 years old. He estimated it would cost a little over $1000 and I said to go ahead with the work. Simon called me at 4:30 and told me my van was fixed and blowing cold air again. He also said he gives a 1 year warranty on the work. He showed me the parts he replaced and even cleaned the inside with air freshener because the leaking Freon left an odor. My total bill came out less than the $1000 he quoted me and I was impressed by his knowledge and the great service he provided. I would highly recommend Cool Tech if you have any AC problem. They are honest, knowledgeable and do a great job. read more

I bought a car on Craigslist that broke down twice in the first two weeks and Steve and Simon got it back up and reliable for a reasonable price. They were also super friendly and even offered me a ride to work the second time I had to get it towed in for a broken radiator hose. Definitely more than A/C! read more

Very satisfied customer! Called in the morning and was able to make an appointment on a Friday afternoon of the same day. I replaced the AC compressor in my 2004 Vw Jetta and just needed the evac and recharge. The guys were very helpful in making sure I used the correct PAG oil in the compressor. I showed up, gave them the keys and went to they gym for an hour. Came back and the car was complete. He also did a pressure check before to ensure no leaks and the price was competitive to others that I called. I'll be recommending them to friends in need! read more

My car's dash board started to light up over the weekend and it shook when the car slowed down. I called at 7:45am before they even opened today and sure enough someone answered the phone! They were able to get me in right away 8:30am (I work right down the road, so it is easy for me to have someone drop me off) and they fixed me up with no problem at 2:30pm. I told them I wasn't in a rush and please take your time, but they got it done way before 5pm. They are honest and polite men who I loved working with. I can't wait to tell everyone I know to go to Cool Tech because they are amazing guys. read more

Polite and friendly service, fast diagnosis and a fair price. Simon took the time to explain why the a/c wasn't operating correctly. Quoted me a good price before doing the repair. They finished the repair the same day. It was a pleasure doing business with such polite and competent professionals! read more

If you are only going to do one thing such as Auto Air, and not be a general service shop, you had better be good at it, or you will not stay in business for long. That is what convinced me that these guys know what they are doing. My recent visit reinforced that view and the customer service was first class. I would use them again. read more

I feel these guys are very honest. I took my car there because my brake light was out and they replaced it for me for free. I didn't know that they do oil changes too, and its for a reasonable price. Same great mechanics and same great service as always. My job moved further from town so I had stopped going here for awhile but I am definitely back because the drive is worth it. Steve and Simon are so honest, reliable, helpful and personable. They are 100% trustworthy unlike other places I have experienced in the past. You will never feel tricked or like you are being sold when you deal with Steve and Simon. I also love that they handle the front-of-house themselves so you get immediate access to them every time you call. A++++ recommended as always. read more

My 2012 Nissan Leaf took a while for the AC air to get cold. Simon and Steve very professional, took time to explain diagnosis, provide a fix, explain prognosis. Would recommend! read more

My short story begins with a dead battery. I had AAA jump start 2001 Honda Odyssey & off to Sam's for a replacement. Replacement made within hours, then back home to the garage. As our 2nd vehicle, I ran the van twice a week as recommended by Sam's tech to keep charging the battery. The AAA tech noticed a little smoke & I could smell what appeared to a burning oil odor. Called Simon at Cool Tech and arranged to drop off the van Friday morning. During our initial conversation at their shop, I mentioned the AAA tech & the battery issue I had. He called me in the afternoon that day and informed me, No repairs were necessary as there is a leak but a small manageable one! He advised monitor & call him if it gets worse. He asked if I needed the van over weekend, I said no. As part of his services, he checked the battery & offered to do a slow re-charge of the battery. I picked up the van on Monday. This is the 2nd time I've taken the van to Cool Tech for analysis & a repair when required. I am confident in find Cool Tech to be trustworthy, knowledgeable, provides awesome service & honest! read more
