I drove to Los Angeles and parked in a covered garage on a humid day. When I parked, there was no visible crack. However, when I returned about four hours later, a crack had propagated approximately 12-14 inches up the windshield. My best guess is that the combination of temperature, humidity, and pressure changes caused the damage to spread. I called JC Mobile Auto Glass on a Thursday around 4:00 PM. They ordered the replacement windshield from San Bernardino and had it delivered to their High Desert shop by 9:00 AM the following morning. They gave me a two-hour service window (9:00-11:00 AM), and the technician arrived at my home right on schedule. The technician was very conscientious when working around the plastic trim surrounding the Toyota Safety Sense front-facing camera. Those components can be fragile, but he took his time, carefully removed the original windshield, and professionally installed the new one in just under 45 minutes. The workmanship was excellent, and he treated the vehicle with care throughout the installation. I was very satisfied with both the price and the service. The convenience of having a technician come directly to my home, especially at such a reasonable price, made the experience even better.
