The musician the other night was simply awful. It was like listening to a drunk at a karaoke bar. THe facility is not really acoustically friendly. First time I have ever posted a review on YELP The Lahaina fire was a tragedy on so many levels, and like everyone, I was saddened to hear that all of historic Front Street along with Cool Cats Cafe was lost in the fire. Last night our family had a chance to dine at their new Kihei location and it was awesome! Great atmosphere, decor, and the burgers were good or better than we remembered. And a special shout out to Ricardo, our server, who was awesome too! A fun atmosphere but they apparently can't cook burgers any way other than very well done, hard and dry! In a large group several asked for medium rare but they all came hard and dry. When they made new ones they were the same. Very disappointing! We used to get medium rare juicy burgers at their Lahaina location but sadly no more. read more

My family and I were here at the end of July 2023 before the devastating Lahaina Fire. We were just there enjoying the yummiest cheeseburger with the family. It was so good that we wanted to come back again. Onion rings were bomb ! I give it 5 stars! We chose this place over cheeseburgers in paradise. I am so so sad this burned down along with the rest of Front street and Lahaina! My heart hurts all for all effected and the whole island of Maui. 1000 people missing and 100 fatalities so far So raw and unreal as I feel like we were just there last week.. We took photos with the beautiful macaws down the street and the bird owner gave us a coupon to use at this restaurant. We also walked down to the library and the elementary school and took pictures by the Banyan tree and videos. I will never forget this beautiful town walking down Front street enjoying my fav Hawaiian shaved ice @ ulani's. So many beautiful memories here. My heart and prayers go out to the whole island of Maui... so many lives taken, business's,pets, families, town, etc. I really hope in my heart this was a natural disaster . Makes me sick to my stomach..You see all the cars lined up and people jumping right there in the ocean! It's like a war zone... the videos are very hard to watch.. I can't process... Wow what a great experience!! Gorgeous new renovation with a cool 50s diner vibe. Super clean, well organized and friendly atmosphere. Prices were really reasonable with an extensive menu of all your favorite traditional American foods. I had to go for the burger because I heard so many good things about it and it's almost impossible to find a hand formed burger anymore! Everybody's gone for those hockey puck of meat style burgers that I hate. They had so many great specialty options, such as gluten-free buns, gluten-free french fries and when I asked for a lettuce wrap instead of a bun, they obliged with a smile! I was able to sub a side salad for fries, and the Server suggested their homemade creamy Italian dressing, which was delicious. I was able to get my burger, medium rare the way I like it, (many restaurants refuse to do anything less than a medium anymore so this was yet another pleasant surprise!) I also went for a milkshake as my friend had said it was the best she ever had! I have to agree!! It was absolutely fantastic made with premium ice cream and you can tell! I opted for the vanilla with fruit, and the fruit was real fruit not just syrup . What a great time! Also, if you carry a Hawaiian drivers license, ask them about their local discount, it's generous! We are deeply saddened by the tragic fires that destroyed this restaurant and everything around it. My daughter LOVED this place. She continues to rave about how the food was delicious and the server (forgot her name but she loved Stitch) was so friendly and took great care of us- even making some yummy recommendations. We visited Cool Cat Cafe Kihei, missing the Lahaina location very much. I specifically wanted to go because I heard they served my beloved Lahaiana Captain Jacks fish and chips. My family ordered burgers and they were delicious as expected on those. I got my Captain Jacks Fish and Chips and was not happy with it. Its not comparable to or memorable of what Captain Jacks served, and its not something I would order from here again. It made me wonder why they say they represent serving it if its not the same. But, now I know. I would just order what Cool Cats is known for- their burgers. The ambiance is bustling and cheery, as expected. Lots of families with kids. Wow, that Jail House burger is huge! I'm a big eater and I couldn't finish it. It was absolutely delicious, too! Even more impressive, my daughter got the ribeye steak and it tasted like it came from a steakhouse. My wife and other daughter Porky Pig and the teriyaki steak and they both really enjoyed them, too. My family really was into the fries, but they were too seasoned for my taste. Overall, an amazing meal with a fun 1950's vibe to the atmosphere. Our server was attentive, too. Kyra was our waitress and she was really great! The food here is delicious! If your looking for a good burger after snorkeling or whale watching this is the place to stop! They have a happy hour also which is a bonus. They also have a create your own milkshake where you can make it an "Adult" milkshake by adding your choice of alcohol! Can you say Winning!? This cafe is located in Front Street on the second floor of the outdoor mall area. I loved the indoor outdoor feel and the comfort of the cafe. The burger was so tasty and Maui beef just does it for me every time. The salad was super delicious as well for a lighter bite with a ton of flavor. Stopped by here for a bite to eat since I was in town doing the tourist bit. It is open all the way around so you have fresh air and can see down to the street or to the shops on the other side of the cafe. This may cause it to be a bit hot depending on the weather and the time of day, but there was plenty of fans to cool you down a bit if you sit in their path. There are also plenty of televisions to watch the game on while you have a bite to eat. There are lots of options for burgers and the food is pretty good. The clean, retro diner decor and live music created a welcoming vibe that set the tone for our trip. A new favorite spot in Kihei. They have adult milkshakes and they are delicious. I recommend sharing them because if you don't, you won't have room for food. Pretty extensive menu selection. I seem to get the burgers more often than anything else, but they also have amazing ribs, fall off the bone ribs. I was not disappointed with the steak and ribs. Looks like they have delicious sundaes but I am usually too full after my meal to try. Will have to come some time just for the banana split.
