Some of the best ice cream I've ever had. The flavor is on point and appears to be scratch and fresh ingredients.

And I'm happy to report that it exceeded my expectations! The slice of pie was HUGE (very tall) and it had some kind of a sauce/cheese combo on top of the tomatoes that was fantastic. Combined with the pie crust, it reminded me of a slice of Chicago deep dish pizza! My husband and I also shared the following: cinnamon rolls, salted caramel brownie and a white chocolate raspberry bread pudding muffin. All were huge, rich in flavor and very satisfying. I already can't wait to come back again! :)

The place is a nice sized neighborly cafe. The bakery display was very tempting, but I had to remind myself why I was here, TOMATO PIE!! Let me preface this by saying I'm from Charleston (lived here all my life except for 2 years), and I LOVE Tomato Pie. I was in utter shock when I saw how huge their Tomato Pie was. I ordered it to go and did not have it heated when ordered. I asked the gentlemen at the counter how he recommended heating it and he suggested in an oven over a microwave to keep the crust crisp. So that is how I heated it. For the cheese lovers this one is for you!! The cheese was a bit excessive and over powering for me. I did not like this tomato pie at all. It lacked flavor to me, and I'm usually one that believes seasonings should enhance the flavor of the food, not cover/overwhelm the palate. What I tasted was CHEESE, tomatoes and a bland crust. I saw the herbs/seasonings underneath the cheese, but did not taste it at all. To each their own, but this in no way tastes like the classic southern tomato pie I grew up loving. I gave a 3 because the menu had MANY options that looked appealing that I may go back to try.

Swank's newest addition -- an ice cream shop! Two doors down from Swank Desserts, the place feels…read morenice and clean. The area where the line starts is pretty tight as the seating area is right next to it. Additional seating out front. Paper menus are available in the line. Waffle cone almost tastes like a sweet, cinnamon croissant. I was afraid that as the ice cream melted, the waffle cone would start to disintegrate, but it surprisingly held its shape. Vanilla Bean with chocolate pearls and rainbow sprinkles is perfect for the little ones. Norman's Cookies taste just like their salted chocolate chip cookie mixed with delicious cookie milk ice cream. Eat it Brucie! Was my favorite. Chocolate ice cream with chocolate cake pieces throughout, freakin delicious! Weekend at Grannies House is a classic butter pecan ice cream filled with pecan chunks Mile High Club has the perfect amount of swirls of Biscoff cookie butter Who Made the Yams? Tasted like a piece of mom or grandma's sweet potato pie with a scoop of ice cream. Definitely will be my go-to for a sweet treat!

First, the space is beautiful! I love the bold, vibrant colors and the attention to detail throughout the shop. Everything was extremely clean, organized, and inviting. They also have a wonderful indoor and outdoor seating area, making it a great spot for families, date nights, or just grabbing a sweet treat. Now, let's talk about the ice cream! Swank offers a wide variety of flavors with some really fun and creative names. Their seasonal menu includes flavors like "Who Made the Yams?" featuring roasted sweet potato ice cream, marshmallow fluff, and sweet potato pie cheesecake, and "The Blacker the Berry," made with vanilla bean ice cream, black currant jam, and oat streusel. I love seeing a business get creative with flavors while incorporating Southern-inspired ingredients. We started with vanilla ice cream served in a freshly made waffle cone, and it was absolutely delicious! They also offer freshly baked cookies, including a matcha cookie that caught my attention. If you have trouble deciding on a flavor, they offer ice cream flights so you can sample several options. Another nice touch is their coffee selection. They serve espresso and specialty lattes, including Brown Butter and Caramelized Banana, so there's something for coffee lovers, too. The customer service was excellent! The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I also enjoyed seeing other local business owners come out to support the opening. It's always wonderful to see our local business community supporting one another. Overall, I'm really excited about Swank Creamery! Between the creative flavors, freshly baked cookies, beautiful atmosphere, and friendly service, I think this will be a great addition to Summerville. I'm looking forward to returning and trying more of their unique flavors. Definitely worth checking out!

The ice cream is smooth, real, and delicious. The shakes are awesome. We've even gotten ice cream shakes from the food truck at Fort Moultrie on Carolina Day, and it was perfect! Don't waste your time looking for a good ice cream shop...Bruster's is hands down our favorite in the area. The staff here is ALWAYS friendly and go above and beyond. The sitting area outside is clean and taken care of with accessible trash cans and napkins. Because we all know on hot summer days, the ice cream can melt quicker than we can eat them. Pricing is very reasonable, the rewards program has great deals from time to time, and you get a LOT of ice cream for what you pay. The small (two scoops) is what is shown in my photo attached. It's massive. Flavors we love and recommend: butter pecan, strawberry cheesecake, salted caramel, and mint chocolate. The ice cream connoisseur of the family (our youngest) proclaims that Bruster's chocolate ice cream is the best around...just the right amount of chocolate and "just perfect."

I ordered a scoop of cookie dough and strawberry shortcake ice cream on a waffle cone. My husband struggled a bit to find something GF that wasn't just vanilla or chocolate. The lady tried to help us but wasn't that confident in some suggestions she had off the top of her head and asked if he can have nuts... Anyway we finally got him a butter pecan and butterfinger. The ice cream was as good as we remembered it to be. Ice cream has gotten more expensive these days but it was a special treat for date night.
