I would give it a five because we love the food and the shakes but unfortunately the service never comes through. Ugh!! We always visit this location on our way home from visiting South Carolina. The prices are very reasonable and it's really really good for the price!! We love it and wish that they would come to OHIO!!! The service over the years has never been good unfortunately. They always mess up our order and they are never pleasant. On our recent visit all five of us asked for Cajun fries but only one order was Cajun. They were very annoyed and rushed us through the ordering process. There is five in our family so it took awhile but I think with them trying to rush it is why our order is always wrong over all these years. I will continue to go here as we love the food and the shakes and are great so we will be back. I guess the risk is with the reward : )

The number of stars for cookout depends on the time of day. No, the quality doesn't vary based on the clock, but the context does. At dinner time, it's meh. Late at night, the stars go up, because they are one of the few places open to feed a weary traveler. You know those huge boxes of thin mediocre burger patties you get at big box stores, and people bring them to cook outs? Pretty sure that's where they get their name. But the burgers here taste strongly of liquid smoke. The slice of tomato is about as thick as one of the burger patties. The fries were both slightly burned but also limp, which is kind of impressive. Not tasty, but impressive. The milkshake is what bumps them to 4 stars. It was delicious. Thick and full of flavor. I don't know why I keep coming back to Cook Out. Oh wait, yes I do. It's because it's the only place open late.

This what I got from this place! Horrible customer service! Forgot some of my order again! It wasn't like this until now! What's going on?

Bad customer service! Bad food! Need to have a manager listening, some employees are very rude!

Really Cookout? This was a horrible experience today. 3 cheese bites in my tray, well what is there of the tray... Food is horrible today. What happened? Does no one like being at work today? Geez, and we do business there all the time at my workplace. Wow... My picture would show the atrocious tray and meal. Smh...

Service is way slower than any other cook out and food portions seem very small compared to other cook outs. I ordered Cajun chicken Trey with two side of cheese frys. Turns out I got half a piece of chicken on the sandwich and looks like one side of frys. I don't go to cook out often and glad to see that I'm not missing out on anything. The frys are way thicker than the deli slice of chicken I revived. No wonder they are such a low rating. Needs new employees

Horrible customer service experience. Came home and opened my big double burger cookout tray with sides (nuggets and fries.... proceeded to dip a nugget in honey mustard and just so happened to flip it over and there's a whole BUG/Roach whatever... it had wings! Fried hard into the nugget... so bet, I'll just take it back and give them the opportunity to correct it by refunding my money and giving a compensated meal I can use at another cookout (cause trust they weren't about to wash their utensils and sure enough they didn't). After sitting in the drive thru (wait time 8-10 mins) they tell me to come to the window I wait again for others (which is cool) I finally get to the window and explain and she takes the food, and offers a half-hearted apology. I can see the "assumed manager" look and I just ask for a refund (lost appetite and y'all ain't a single spatula)... I can already feel his spirit was about to act a donkey so I just chill and wait (optimism) and he sends a message via the window servicer, that he can only refund and there's no Comp that could be provided, so I ask to speak with him directly. This dude continues making food, I can see the annoyance on his face (cool it's stressful in fast food I get it but please at least come and address the problem). The girl at the window tells me she doesn't know how to do refunds, but she needs to close her window so I step to the side. A WHOLE NOTHA 10 mins later.... no manager, no refund, nothing else. So boom I call corporate, who explained they can't comp a meal per policy (and I respect that) but I'm like... that's cool but I've been standing here for over now (15 mins) with no refund and nobody seemed to actually care... corporate offers to call to see what's taking so long so I give up the location (gah I hated to do it but I felt like the manager was now playing with my time)... hang up, the call from corporate comes through to the store, I can view the guy through the window take his gloves off, run to the back and I assume he had the conversation. So dude (manager) hangs up, walks back to the prep counter, looks me dead in my eye and proceeded to put his gloves back on (NOT NARY HAND-WASHED!) and goes back to fixing orders. So now I gotta get out of character as I stood there for another 4-5 mins so I kindly tapped on the window and she tells me again "oh he's coming" nahhh we passed that now! I've stood here way to long, it's cold out here, you've served several and I do mean SEVERAL ppl by this point, I need my refund so I can just go! Window closes and all of a sudden she comes back and ask me how much was the meal. I tell her (should of told her more but ya know... karma) I see someone simply go into the register hand her the cash and she then gives it to me... soooo like you could of done this a good bit ago! Unprofessional, no hand washing, no mask no hairnets like y'all out here just in the raw! Wrapping up, Just check your food before you put it to your mouth and don't expect much customer service if there's indeed a problem. And corporate ( was an absolute joke!) just as there manger this night! Useless

This place is a bit off the beaten path, has seen much better days inside and out, but the broad menu and the hot dogs draw folks. Lise and Feras Alfares opened this spot in 2008, after operating a Mr. Softee truck for number of years in the neighborhood. The menu is centered on hot dogs and burgers, but is really broad, offering a large variety of deli sandwiches, hoagies, gyro, veggie options, quesadillas, nachos, flounder and shrimp plates, plenty of turkey choices, and several dozen toppings and condiments! I have tried hot dogs, burgers, sausages, nachos, and several deli sandwiches - there was nothing that I didn't like, but for me it all about the hot dogs. The salads are always super fresh, with large mounds of veggies on top. They're definitely a great value. But my most recent and favorite discovery is their fries. They're perfectly crispy, served piping hot, and topped with a delicious Middle Eastern seasoning blend that takes them to the next level. I can't even begin to describe them. Just order them.
