Every time I order hotdogs from Cookout they never get it right. It is always missing something. My ticket clearly says 2 chili cheese dogs with onions. I get cheese and onions. This place was great when they first opened. I was in grad school at the time and would stop by to pick something up before my 6:30 PM class. It has continued to go downhill through the years. I am rating this restaurant in comparison to other fast food places. This location is clean and friendly. One of the I really like about Cook Out are the choices. The menu is pretty big compared to other fast food places. They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, quesadillas, wraps, BBQ, and chicken strips on their menu. In addition to a host of sides. It makes it easy for a family to pick one restaurant and have multiple options. I really like their hush puppies. I order them whenever I can. Can we talk about the milkshakes? 40 choices! We visited this establishment today and it took 12 minutes just for her to take out order. She was very rude at the speaker and the window! She was very smart mouthed and that is not good for business! They let a line build up just so they can laugh and goof off with each other because it seems like they found their conversation that we could hear, was more important. I used to love this place but today done me in. At least our food was fresh, but we got ONE napkin for 4 people and 4 meals. We received no silverware either. Overall a bad experience. So we drove up to the window and tried to clarify our order and the woman working at the window literally couldn't handle us asking for confirmation on "cookout" fries being chili cheese fries. I've never been to a cookout in America where "cookout fries" don't come with chili and cheese on them. On top of this, she literally couldn't speak to me when I asked if the total was correct, which is wasn't because she never took off the regular fries. The food was decently prepared. My hush puppies were very crunchy and tasty and so were the onion rings. The Char-grilled BBQ Chicken sandwich could have used more flavor though. That empty drive thru should have been an indicator... This has always been my favorite place for getting onion rings, milkshakes, and other types of fast food until 1/1/2020. I knew that they had bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches on their menu. I decided to try it since I had never had it before. When I got home, I was absolutely stunned. All I had received was a hamburger bun with basically nothing on it. What a horrific waste of money. I also saw food handlers not wearing gloves; they were also out of trays; this is a place that I often visit but will think twice before ordering anything but onion rings; that is because they are the best in the area and am not a fan of French fries.
