I used to speak highly of this location.. however, my most recent visit I've been extremely disappointed and disgusted. I waited in the drive thru today for nearly 30 minutes. When at the window I was told sorry for the wait, they were just waiting on my spicy chicken sandwich to finish cooking. I was patient and like my food fresh anyway so I was okay with that. I get home and take a bite out of my sandwich and it was RAW!!!! I absolutely love Cook Outs and this location was even better because they have seating indoors! Most of the Cook Outs in my area only have the walk up window and drive thru but it was nice to have the indoor seating at this location. My favorite milkshake to get is the strawberry Oreo- it almost tastes like chocolate covered strawberries! I love that we can mix flavors here. The Cajun fries are amazinggg! Me and my father came in today ordering food for about 11 or 12 people. They were very friendly and helpful. We had already wrote down what we were ordering because it was so much and the young lady at the counter took it and didn't make us read the long list to her. They gave us our drinks, and the food was ready before we were finished making our drinks! Traveling along the east coast we like to try to find burger or chicken places which are outstanding. Cookout was highly recommended. The decor was cute, log cabinesque in keeping with the cookout theme. The place was clean and well stocked. The cashier was not enjoying her life. Eye rolled me when I didn't order "right" and literally pointed at the sign for the sides. The wait time was not bad once the order was in, and the burgers were hot. The fries were not. Having four in our group we had a chance to try lots of the sides, the cheese bites were the most popular with our group and the frenchfries the least. Some sides were strange to me, the bacon wrap? In town for the weekend and tried Cook Out because you have to! The prices were great, staff was friendly and helpful to us, but not each other. Didn't take too long to get food but some people in front of us were super angry about there wait and missing food. Our food came out pretty promptly, burger was decent nothing special. I ordered a chocolate milkshake and asked that there be no nuts in it since i'm very allergic, when i got to the window they assured me there were absolutely no nuts in my milkshake. If I could rate this less then one star I would. I was coming home from vacation and wanted to try different restaurants that I couldn't get at home on and coming back from vacation. The line was out to the road. There were two lanes open, and I waited 47 minutes in the drive thru to get my food. I thought that was quite ridiculous considering there are two lanes, and it should be moving quite quickly. It was after 9 p.m. and I had my small children with me. Almost every time I've been to this location somebody has a nasty attitude, part of the order is wrong or they're not making a bunch of items on their menu, and most recently their employees have been smoking marijuana while on the job. This past visit was enough of a bad experience to warrant leaving this negative review. The entire drive through line smelled like marijuana and was especially noticeable right where the employees walked out to take a break right behind the building. They "weren't making"several items with no explanation as to why and had a nasty attitude over it when people (myself and others in line behind me) tried to order those items despite not having any signs or telling people up front they weren't available to order. The food is typically a hit or miss if it'll be worth the wait and dealing with everything I've mentioned above. It's continued to get worse and worse to the point it's not worth going there anymore. Another great Cook Out location. Stopped here for lunch while driving up I-95. Got a Cook Out tray with chicken fingers, sides of hush puppies and onion rings, and a shake for $6 and change. It's hard to beat the shake flavor options, as well as the ability to combine multiple flavors - I go for an Oreo mint, M&M, Reeses cup, Snickers combination. Was in and out in around 20 minutes, taking some time to get up and stretch out. Last night I have to hand it to the late night staff. I have celiacs disease and I came through the drive through to order everything with no bun or fried. The bacon I didn't even know came with my chargrilled bbq chicken and pickles was the best bacon I've ever had. What a huge surprise it was from Cookout at 2am. Not only that but this hour they even had unsweetened tea available. They made sure they had my order right and they accidentally charged the wrong amount we owed more than what they said and told us no worries it was on them. What an amazing company.
