Look at all those shake flavors!
Scott G.

Classic Cook Out experience. That shake selection is insane! Char grilled food, fast & simple. Grilled chicken, burgers, BBQ, etc. Consistent experience. Awesome late nite hours.

Regular burger and fries.

Not bad but it's hit or miss. When the food is hot it is really good, but I would suggest getting the Cajun fries over the regular fries.

This place needs to be ashamed of themselves. Visited this location on 11/13 for lunch and got burnt up (inedible mess). Ordered the the Regular Tray and everything was burnt when I got home. The burger was so small the size of a small burger and burnt so hard to the point I couldn't even bite into it. The hush puppies were are burnt. The cheese bites were fried so hard I couldn't even bite into it. This was absolutely ridiculous and a waste of time & money. Whoever cooked this food and even served it should e fired and ashamed of themselves. I will never go to this place again.

I was trying to decide between Chick-fil-A and cookout. I passed cook out first so I decided to stop here instead. I went through the drive through to place my order. The young lady taking my order kept ignoring everything I asked for and was rushing through my order. She didn't read back my order or give me a total. When I arrived to the window I see a beautiful young lady with red faux locs. The receipt said Brianna was her name but I'm not sure because it was oddly two girls at the window. Unfortunately, she had a very bad attitude and kept slamming the drive through window. I had to request my receipt, which was incorrect. When I received my food, it was incorrect from the incorrect receipt too. Lol when I told the young lady at the drive through she got an attitude and took my sandwich back only to add some dry bacon on top and the sandwich was still wrong. They then took it back to add cheese, I said may I please have a fresh sandwich this time since it's going back a second time. The third time the sandwich was STILL incorrect! I just took the sandwich as is and left because at this point I was just over it. I should of just took my self to Chick-fil-A. I should have known better. Never again! SMH

Burger with bread tie on top for better view

Upon opening my burger I noticed what seemed to be bad lettuce. I later realized it was a twist tie. On top of the inedible fries and lack of professionalism from the staff.

Burnt hotdogs and soggy bread...

Just plain disgusting. Burnt hotdogs, soggy bread. Cold chili. Just plain horrible.

Cookout is known for its charcoal grilled food. I love the fact that it's like eating food fresh off the grill out of your own back yard. My only ask is for fresher ingredients. The buns are often stale and the burgers taste frozen. The prices are great! They recently raised the prices, but it's still a good deal. You can get a meal with a drink for about $5. Parking is good. Plenty of spaces. Drive thru moves quickly. Friendly staff.

The food so was good!!!

Omg Best cajun chicken sandwich I ever had. My first time coming to the cook out. I came with a few friends. I did the Cajun style chicken plate and my friends had the spicy chicken plate. The food you have is to feed two people seriously you get choices of picking whatever you want in three section the main meal the sides yes the SIDES and a drink, sides are two different things you can get a wrap and fries. I forgot to take pictures of the menu I couldn't wait to eat my friends was bragging about this place for months and I never tried it until yesterday so anytime I pass a cook out I'm definitely stopping in! The cashier was friendly as well and the place was clean parking was not a problem. They have their own private parking lot.

Snickers milkshake (it reminds me of a Diary Queen Blizzard or McFlurry)

So...we went to Cook Out last night after a long day of playing basketball at a tournament (my cousin not me...however, it was a long day of spectating). Anyway, I've lived here a while and Cook Out is no longer new but I had never tried it. I heard the milkshakes were bomb but still didn't go because I really didn't eat anything else they served. Again, some of this review will be from the tastebuds of family since I'm not a meat eater. Both my Grandma and uncle had a burger with the works and although they were hungry they said the burger was burnt. Well, in true cook out form there's always a burnt burger or two in the mix (I guess they got them both). My grandma also added that they are skimpy on the bacon...hmmm. As for the shakes, I ordered a snickers shake (I think it was thick and not really a shake but it gives the blizzard and the McFlurry a run for their money)...I am not mad at the chunks of snickers. My uncle got a blueberry shake...he said it had real blueberries that he could chew. My little cousin went for what he knew an Oreo shake. He liked it and I heard no complaints. The cashier was really nice and didn't mind sharing his thoughts on the shakes, he also took his time to explain what came on the burgers. You don't get many people who are willing to take the time and explain things without and attitude. We rated this place a three because although the service and shakes were good the food was just "what it was". I would go back for the shakes but probably not frequently because it wasn't memorable....just "what it was"

My only complaint is they aren't always so easy to find (btw, not worth docking them a star for this). Fatty (and wife) are like the Rogers and Hammerstein of food trucks. Their food is like a 3-act play and it's full of wonderful tunes along the way. Let's start with the opener: Act 1 - Potato Knish: This can best be described as a mashed potato turnover. They can be large, small, round, square...the ultimate Jewish snack food. You can get it with spinach and cheese or pepperoni for extra, but why mess with a classic. I like mine with a little salt and sauce (mustard works for me, but there is also Fatty's special spicy sauce). Yummmmmm. You cannot go wrong here. Fried taters. Yes please. Act 2 - The Dogs: Okay, I could go on and on here and they all have names and things that come on them, but I will tell you what I have had and I loved them both (and please don't ask me for names). A dog with peppers and onions (OMG, to die for) and a dog with mustard and slaw on top. Their slaw is creamy and crunchy - two things slaw should always be. Their dogs are all-beef Sabrett hot dogs and juicy and delicious. And Act 3 - Cannolis: Traditional cannolis with the chocolate chips dipped on the ends. Fabulous crunchy shell, not too sweet, but sweet enough to let you know this is the final act to your kick ass food truck indulgence. As they say - go big or go home. Fatty's doesn't skimp, so you definitely get your money's worth. Look for they around town and get yourself a full 3-act meal and you will not be sorry...but you might be full.

Eyyy, Fatty's! This…read moreis a husband-and-wife run food truck that serves up authentic New York style hot dogs and sausages along with other NYC favorites like cannolis, knishes, jumbo pretzels and Italian ices. The proprietor John is the real deal--he's been slinging out dirty water dogs since he was a young man in New York. He definitely knows how to dress up a delicious dog. I've had several of the menu items over two separate visits and highly recommend all of the dogs and sides that I've sampled. Fatty's Tex-Mex ($6): Quarter pound Sabrett all-beef dog with lettuce, onions, cheddar, black bean & corn salsa, chipotle cream. This one definitely has a southwestern flare that really compliments the beef hot dog's distinctive flavor. It's not really very spicy at all. "Da Bronx" ($6): Two all-beef Sabrett hot dogs with spicy mustard and Sabrett onion sauce. This one sound simple but it actually packs a wallop. The onion sauce has a nice zing that compliments the mustard. Potato Knishes ($4): Potato pancakes. Before Fatty's I had never tried a knish, so I can't speak to their authenticity; but they sure are tasty! You can add either pepperoni & cheese or spinach & cheese for $2. Cannoli ($4): Traditional cannolis with chocolate chips. These things taste way better than any other dessert I've tried from a food truck. Fantastic crunchy shell, decadent but not overly sweet. Get one with your meal. It's worthwhile, trust me. It seems like Fatty's spends many Saturdays at a Petsmart, and otherwise travels around to various office parks during the week and local festivals on the weekends. Try checking out their FB page or Twitter account to see where they'll be next. And be sure to come hungry--they don't skimp on the portion sizes!

There were plenty of clean tables to eat at. The girl welcomed us with the Varsity saying "What'll Ya Have?". I ordered the #7 combo meal with two Slawdogs, onion rings, and an unsweet iced tea. My wife ordered just the Chili Cheese Slawdog. The Slawdog was great! Nice cool crunchy slaw on the hotdog, it was really good. The onion rings were hot and crunchy. Very good. My wife loved her Chili Cheese Slawdog. The chili on this dog was very flavorful. Not too spicy, and the slaw again like my Slawdog was cool and crunchy and was a nice compliment to the chili cheese dog. After we ate, we ordered one of each of the pies they offer. They have an apple, peach, and sweet potato pies. We brought them home for later. They were fresh cooked and smells great. Whenever we come to town, we'll be stopping at The Varsity.

The lady at the counter was super joyful, kind and helpful. Two of us had the #4 , double cheeseburger with bacon. We split the fries and onion rings. They were the best part of the entire meal. The burgers are kind of nasty and taste freezer burnt. The Varsity orange cream shake is delicious. We won't be back for the burgers but will be for the service and sides.
