Incredibly overpriced in my opinion along with other electrician company I contacted. But honestly that wasn't the main issue. This was maybe the most annoying and oddest consultation of my life. From the very beginning I was being very clear that I only wanted my outlets replaced, nothing else. I reiterated this verbally in person. The technician, kept on trying to sell me a membership and additional services. I would say "I just want my outlets fixed" and then he would completely ignore me and go on to sell me about replacing the circuits. This happened over and over again. I would say "please I don't want this service" and then he would just go right back to other services. I actually couldn't believe what was happening. I was incredibly uncomfortable the entire time. For the 4th time, I was again very direct in not wanting any additional work. I literally said "I do not care for anything but the outlets". But he just didn't care and kept going for 15 minutes about working on my panel. Like oh my god, what is happening. It was additionally rude when I told him I was on a time crunch but then he still spent 30-40 mins creating an additional 4 quotes for the work that I insisted I didn't want. They straight up did not care about me and what I wanted. He kept saying I'm the top priority while also completely disregarding what I do not want. If a customer tells you to stop, please stop. I was incredibly upfront with the services that I wanted but this guy was on a mission to charge me $9356. I ultimately didn't continue with this company and reached out to another one who did the work for $300, which was the quote I also received from other electricians in the area. I truly do not know how they justify charging $2807 for only 6 outlets. Listen to the other reviewers. I had the same experience of the worker just looking for upgrades rather than what I called for. He spent nearly 20 minutes analyzing my electrical panels to see where he can charge me additional services after I just told him I only want the outlets. Stop trying to phrase this is for your customers when you blatantly ignore their needs and wants. This was such a weird experience and I lost $89 for the dispatch fee.

I contacted Chesapeake Electric after the outlets and switches on one circuit in my home stopped…read moreworking. The technicians arrived as scheduled, acted professionally, and explained that the outlets on the circuit had not been pigtailed when the home was originally wired. They identified separated wiring and signs of overheating in some locations, including burned drywall behind certain outlet covers. I initially paid an $85 service fee and then more than $500 for a more extensive assessment. After that assessment, I was given an estimate exceeding $2,500 to address approximately 10 outlets and switches on the circuit. I was told that the entire circuit needed to be corrected and that they could not determine which individual outlets were causing the problem. When I asked whether only the damaged locations could be repaired, I was told that was not an option. After I paid a deposit toward the proposed work, the technicians disconnected and capped three affected outlets and restored power to the remainder of the circuit. This raised questions for me about why the entire circuit had initially been presented as needing immediate repair. When I asked about repairing only those three locations, I was quoted more than $500 per location. Whole-home premium surge protection and service-plan memberships were also recommended. By coincidence, another electrician was working at a neighboring home that day. He identified himself as a master electrician, inspected the issue, and gave me a different professional opinion. He told me that the entire circuit did not need to be replaced. In his assessment, the three affected locations needed repair and the remaining outlets on the circuit could be pigtailed. He estimated approximately $700 for the work. I then contacted Chesapeake Electric's office and asked to cancel the deposit. The manager listened to my concerns, spoke with the technicians, and called me back. He explained the company's reasoning and said the broader electrical work could be beneficial if the home were inspected in the future. However, that explanation did not resolve my concerns about the difference in the proposed scope and pricing. I also received appointment and follow-up text messages from someone identifying himself as "Mike." Based on the wording and interaction, the messages appeared to be generated through an automated or artificial-intelligence service. However, the messages did not disclose that I might be communicating with AI rather than a real employee. I found that confusing and uncomfortable. In my opinion, customers should be clearly informed when appointment scheduling or follow-up communications are being handled by an automated AI system. Although the technicians were courteous and professional while at my home, I was not comfortable proceeding after receiving such a substantially different assessment and estimate from another electrician. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend obtaining at least one independent second opinion before approving costly electrical work, memberships, or additional services.

The delivery & installation process is absolutely the worst possible. You would think the delivery would be free after you spend $25,000 on a refrigerator, stove and a wall oven; but it's not. Installation of Subzero and Wolfe appliances require precise and one of kind electrical plumbing rough-ins, which Fergurson does not communicate on the phone or early. So you are constantly email this lady who has 0 field experience. She becomes a human emailer of the spec sheets, which different trades can interpret sightly differently. To reconcile the difference by talking with trades, Subzero tech support, and Fergerson is a full time job. The after-sale support is email exclusive and absolutely time waster. Fergerson after-sale support obsoletely will not talk to you; they will only email you dumb things one like the spec sheet and ask you dumb questions on the email. Heather called me after I threatened to cancel the order; but she knows nothing about the fine installation detail, sometimes down to 1/16". She promised that a Subzero rep would call me the same day, nobody called me. So I called Subzero tech support. It takes about 24 full working hours to coordinate the installation of 4 appliances. I come from a engineering background, with 4 years of fix and flip experience. I have never spent so much time on appliance installation. If you buy subzero as a luxury product, and you also value time as the greatest luxury possible, then Fergueson is not for you. Fergerson will rob you of your time!

My wife and I just completed a major, 2 month, master bath renovation with the help of Ferguson…read more We purchased all of our faucets, hardware, custom cabinetry, and tub from the Annapolis showroom location with the help of two SPECTACULAR associate/designers. Heather Watson assisted in the selection of the right faucets, tub, diverters, and miscellaneous plumbing components to make it all work. Being in the contracting line of business I recognize that complex projects can require a significant amount of assistance to make sure they are done properly; Heather nailed it from every aspect from design, pricing, and working through last minute installation issues associated with a custom bath. Dawn Esposito assisted in taking our conceptual drawings of the vanity/cabinetry to a beautiful, yet functional setup that perfectly matched our design. Just as Heather did, Dawn took ownership of the project, worked with me to get exactly what I wanted and got it ready for release from the factory. During installation the few minor questions that surfaced were responded to immediately allowing installation to continue without delay. I would absolutely recommend Ferguson for anyone interested in bringing their dream renovation to life. This is the type of customer service that should be expected and required of all design/suppliers.
