Here is where the private planes and commercial planes like FedEx and UPS land. Here there is fuel trucks as well as a self service fueling pump (for after hours) for dispensing jet fuel. Many times you will also find military aircraft here as well. The main office building which serves as the ingress and egress point for passengers and crew is very nicely arranged and kept. The main reception desk area is the center for information, arranging and checking flights. There is also a roomy and comfortable waiting area overlooking the airfield. There is also an area with tables where you can eat. It also has several vending machines for snacks and drinks. If you are a pilot, this is a very nice facility to visit.

To keep prices low, Spirit charges for amenities that most other airlines include, like baggage and water. Again, it is the Greyhound of the skies. Repeat like a mantra when things go awry. The most important part of making the Spirit Airlines adventure go as smoothly as possible is to book everything in advance. Everything, if you can. I pay for a seat, and I usually pay for a carryon. Use their App, and do as much as you can electronically. The fewer people you have to interact with, the better. Pro tip: in addition to the Spirit Airlines app, download the FlightAware app before your trip. This super handy app shows you the location of any plane, anywhere. It knows where your plane is, even if the Spirit Airlines employees do not, or decline to tell you.

Got to their website and scheduled a pickup. Within 10 minutes of filling out the web form I a received a call from their scheduler confirming the details. Nice! The day of the airport ride I waited a few minutes ahead of the scheduled pickup, and here comes City Cab, right on time, if not even a few minutes ahead of time. Nice! Corbin was the driver; a super nice guy, got me to airport by the shortest route along with some friendly conversation. Nice! This was a great experience overall.
