Restaurant looked very clean and the back area looked spotless also. Spoke to Jenn the manager at the time and told her the place looked wonderful and the service I received was great. I looked at the other comments and disregarded them. I believe you should always check it out yourself, all of the fast food places have good and bad days. don't be so critical all the time. I was really craving!! A late night craving took me up the…read moreroad and exactly 1 mile to my local McDonald's. I got there and ordered on the kiosk at 10:37pm according to my receipt. Nothing crazy just a quarter pounder deluxe meal with a coke. 3 people were ahead of me with about 6 cars in the drive way. No problem right? Wrong! After 4 people behind me received their order and 20 minutes later I asked who I think is a manager, about my order. I think he was pretty surprised too because I could see them hustling to make my order. Finally 24 mins after I placed an order, $11 and no apology I finally received my bag of food. 1 mile down the road I get home, open my bag and yep the fries were hard and cold and the burger well...see the pictures. I know these guys deal with tourist during the busy season but McD you've got to do better. We want our tourist to talk about their wonderful experiences in Mrytle. We'll, inside I went, after going around the restaurant looking for a parking spot close to the entrance. (Yes, too many folks are wanting the same closeness, which I have not sought on other visits.) The layout of the parking area does not allow for someone to park closer to the entrance way except about six to eight parking spots (all occupied) and that is it, with the remainder of them far on the other side close to the drive-in window where it is probably a bit dangerous to park there and then try and walk through the vehicles backed up for the drive-thru. Horrible planning. Go inside and you are faced with four (4) kiosks where you can input your order and pay with a credit card. The only advantage in doing this is that the last time I was here I found that you can have a small water for free. Yes, for zero cents and zero dollars. As I ordered a chicken sandwich previously which unfortunately had so much mayonnaise oozing out of it that it was getting all over my hands I decided to go for a hamburger. Guess what? Again, there was mayonnaise oozing out. It seems to me that this McDonald's loves slathering thick quantities of mayonnaise, which seems to be what other McDonald's in the chain do. Why waste all that mayo? Ycch! Thus the parking lot layout, the desire for us to use a kiosk and not a human, and the excess mayonnaise certainly is worthy of the loss of at least one star.

We had our dogs in the car and simply asked if they could put a little whipped cream in a cup (nothing complicated) but they refused. For such a small, easy request, this was absurd. We ended up cancelling our order and leaving. Disappointing experience, especially when other places are happy to accommodate something so simple.

Here is where the private planes and commercial planes like FedEx and UPS land. Here there is fuel trucks as well as a self service fueling pump (for after hours) for dispensing jet fuel. Many times you will also find military aircraft here as well. The main office building which serves as the ingress and egress point for passengers and crew is very nicely arranged and kept. The main reception desk area is the center for information, arranging and checking flights. There is also a roomy and comfortable waiting area overlooking the airfield. There is also an area with tables where you can eat. It also has several vending machines for snacks and drinks. If you are a pilot, this is a very nice facility to visit.

Mixed feelings-…read more Originally when we arrived for our vacation we had an amazing employee who came to help my husband and I with the baggage! We had a super heavy car seat, two suitcases & a playpen so his help was extremely appreciated! I truly wish I got his name as he 100% deserves recognition for going the extra mile. However as we got back everything started off extremely smooth, quick and great service. But, as my husband left me with our 1 year old to pay for parking & pickup he left his truck in the yellow zone with hazards to assist me with a lot of luggage. We took about 7 minutes to get everything and went back to the truck; by then parking security called the sheriff. They told the sheriff my husband parked there for 20 minutes! How embarrassing! Totally not pleased with that given we have been traveling for about 10 hours and went quick as possible with so much luggage and a fussy 1 year old.

It is clean, small, and has a great theme!…read more Due to the construction going on, you have to walk up and down a ramp to get to the terminal. If you have difficulty walking that may be a problem, but luckily it is a ramp (not stairs) so if you need a wheelchair you can use it. The check-in area is small, but efficient. All of the airline counters are right there once you walk in to the terminal, and to your left is TSA. TSA wait times at ILM are not a problem, just in case you are concerned because of what happened for 1 month. They have multiple food options such as Port City Java, Jimmy Johns, a market for snacks and drinks, and a great restaurant called "Riverwalk Bar & Grill." There are 9 gates in the terminal. Our flight to Atlanta was delayed, but luckily we could hang out in the atrium and listen to some live music! If you decide to fly out of ILM you will likely not have a problem. This is a great airport!

We were there on a holiday weekend so there weren't many parking spaces left for our plane, but luckily they squeezed us in! It's cheap and easy to park your plane there overnight. They have a self-service fuel pump and dip-n-dots inside, what more could you ask for??
