This is the 3rd 1 star review i have left for spirit airlines. We all were on the plane (LITERALLY ON THE PLANE BUCKLED UP) and the captain looked down the aisle to decide there weren't enough of us on the flight. they asked all of us to get off the plane and head to another gate. as soon as we were off the plane, they told us our 11:56 am flight will now be taking off at 5:46 pm (but they weren't really sure when we'd be taking off). then they proceeded to have people flying to a different location board the plane we were JUST ON. how do you treat people like this? how are you okay with treating people like that? absolutely disgusting. if you don't have to fly spirit airlines, if you have any other option, WHY WOULD YOU?

Me awake for 5th time,after attendant slammed above my head cabinet door.

Seats are way to small for a big guy or anybody in fact, you are like sardines in a can , but you get what you pay for.

Avoid Southwest at Myrtle Beach -- Worst Experience Ever…read more If I could give zero stars, I would. This was hands down the worst airport and airline experience I've ever had. The terminal was hot, stuffy, and completely uncomfortable -- no air conditioning in a humid coastal city is inexcusable. It felt like no one cared about basic comfort or upkeep. But the real issue was Marisol at the Southwest counter. She was rude, condescending, and flat-out refused to return my ID when asked. That is not just bad customer service -- it is a serious violation. Her tone was hostile, her attitude disgusting, and her behavior completely unacceptable. It's shocking someone like her is allowed to represent a major airline. I left feeling disrespected, frustrated, and angry. Southwest and Myrtle Beach Airport both need to do better -- and it starts with removing people like Marisol who clearly have no business working in public service.

***Late post from my Oct 2023 East Coast trip***…read more For my Myrtle Beach, SC, trip, I checked in late for my flight at Ontario Int'l Airport - ONT. I was informed that my luggage may not arrive at the same time I arrive at Myrtle Beach Int'l Airport - MYR which was fine since it was my fault for running late to the airport. Anyway, my flight from Chicago Midway Int'l Airport - MDW to Myrtle Beach Int'l Airport was only 1.5+ hours... they actually arrived sooner than their anticipated time... kudos to them! We were still provided the complimentary drink and snack which I look forward to on all my Southwest flights. I have never had any issues with the Southwest crew on any of my past flights. They are always pleasant and friendly. It was a quick and comfortable flight which I appreciate. Landing was smooth. Deplaning was swift. After arrival at the terminal, I went straight to the baggage claim area to see if my luggage arrived timely and it did. A couple Southwest staff brought my luggage to me directly... they just knew it was mine LOL. Thank you ladies! And thank you Southwest for all that you do! I will forever be a lifetime Southwest customer... P.S. I will post photos later. Thanks for your patience.

One of those airports (Worcester) is conveniently close to where I live and one of the destinations is a place I fly to often to visit friends and family (West Palm Beach), and since flights are Thursday evenings out and Sunday evenings back, direct, and affordable, why wouldn't I choose this airline? So I conspired with my best friend's husband months in advance for the only weekend that worked for both of us and hatched a secret plan to visit her and their new baby. I wrangled up my Florida friends for a grand surprise and booked a round trip convenient flight for a price I could actually afford. Life was so very very grand. Until I got the voice-mail. Something had "changed" with my flight, please call... And then I called. Flight cancelled. It's in TWO WEEKS. Cancelled. No other flights. They could get me on a flight a few weeks away or I could have a refund. Now, of course, it's too late to get any affordable flights anywhere else (yes I've looked) and what I can afford are flights with many many transfers, which is not doable for a weekend. The rep at Direct Air was unsympathetic, unwilling to do anything else to try and help me, and kind of rude. She seemed annoyed that I had the gall to be upset. Days later I still haven't seen my refund and when I called I was told they're working on it. How long does it take to process a credit card transaction? They should have done that immediately on the phone. Direct Air is too good to be true. Don't take the risk unless you can afford to shell out big bucks to make alternate plans at the last minute. Just... don't.

One star for literally getting me to and fro in one piece. I don't know why I bothered with this…read morecompany. First: One person to check in the ENTIRE airplane? Are you kidding me? Second : having the TSA rummage through our luggage on BOTH flights? Really? Not to mention they literally broke a mug and placed it back in the luggage as well as sliced our phone charger cord (LOL?) Literally, you get what you pay for. File under : First World Problems.
