It was my intention to come here and see her since my friend's hair always looks so nice... Unfortunately, Delorah and I have had conflicting schedules and I really needed my hair done so I made an appointment one Saturday early afternoon. I didn't care who I saw since Delorah was out of town and I didn't know anyone else. It took a little while to schedule my appointment because not everyone can knows how to work with braidless sew ins. I was put with Chrissy. She seems nice and very knowledgable about hair. My hair turned out awesome. I was very worried about how some people wash and style a braidless sew in because all your hair is left out and you have to be incredibly gentle with it or else it can damage your hair. I appreciate that Chrissy did such a great job and didn't hurt me. I can honestly say I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the fact that I had to wait almost an hour when I made an appointment. I do get that on Saturdays the salon can get busy but it was surprisingly not too packed for a weekend. I can definitely say I would return and that it was worth the wait. The salon was very nice and clean and had very modern designs and nice furniture. I'd highly recommend coming in to see Chrissy or Delorah.

This wasn't my first time having my lashes done and as soon as she started applying product, I felt…read morea burning sensation. I understand people have different reactions given your eyes shouldn't be constantly tampered with as the eyelash application consists of. She practically sealed my eye shut with adhesive and used little precaution to prevent this. The release of the lashes from the pad shouldn't require so much force and this is most likely the reason they are giving me trouble post application. The quality of her products are terrible for the price she charges and she is clearly inexperienced. I would not recommend her to anyone and highly suggest taking your business elsewhere !!!!

i should preface this by saying i have been loyal to two hairstylists in my life. the first…read morehairstylist i was devoted to was kim long at wak shak in san francisco. KIM RULES HARD! I WOULD HAVE HER BABIES! and the second hairstylist is rachel at prink (formerly of siren). after my kids, I AM RACHEL'S HAIR B*TCH! :) many moons ago, siren salon was recommended to me by an old friend. he didn't recommend an actual stylist, but he liked the salon and raved about it and so i went and i met rachel. i think this was 2001, maybe 2002. i had some pretty loud pink stripes in my hair at the time and i was ready for a change but i wasn't sure what to do. i was REALLY wary of what might come next because i have my share of hair HORROR stories with hairstylists.... whole years of my life GONE for fear of the future with an unforgiiving camera... and damn, if i couldn't make enough porn money to go back to kim in sf either. (i'm JOKING!) but, rachel was very patient and really listened to me. and i walked out of there feeling and looking like a movie star.... ok, a raw, indie, low budget, foreign film movie star... the point is i looked and felt REALLY good. a few years, a new location (inconvenient for me - dude, i live near 99th and western) and (my) two babies later... i'm still going to rachel for my hair fix. i called her today knowing that this is always a busy time for her, praying that there was a cancellation and THERE WAS! so, if you happen to be passing by the salon in the afternoon and you see an asian woman rockin' a cute new 'do... that's me... CHA-CHA! ;) you wanna look good, dontcha? you wanna feeeeeeeel good, dontcha? see. rachel. now.

If you are really curious about color, I recommend an appointment with Jeff, btw. He's very informative! They have a stylist level system where it costs more to see a person wth more training through the salon. However, they are cool if you switch between stylists, because maybe you don't want to pay for someone with more training because you know your hair is going to look like crap all winter/summer no matter what you do. But say you have a special occasion, or you have messed up your hair with many haphazard applications of dye from Whole Foods, it may be worth paying more to see a level two stylist or the artistic director. They carry Kevin Murphy products. I'm impressed with this line; it's not too toxic. The salon space is very open but feels homey and friendly. I like how it's below street level, it kind of adds to the effect when I emerge as a new person.

She was very quick to respond, texted me a question to ensure I had the right amount of time set aside. I had a little bit of a hard time finding it. I have even been to the BBQ place right next door, but never really noticed the salons right next door. It says "Salons Etc." and it seems to be set up where there is a main entrance and then stylists have their own private mini salons. Very cute. Dana was very pleasant, professional, enjoyable to be around. She did a great job with my highlights and cut. I made a follow-up appointment, and again had a great experience with requesting a time online and the appointment was confirmed in less than an hour. I did not find the being on the phone thing mentioned in a few other reviews to be an issue. But honestly, I wouldn't have a problem with it anyway. My expectation/hope when I get my hair done is to walk out with hair I'm happy with. Glancing at a phone or answering a text is irrelevant to that. She's doing everything herself, so I would think she might need to multitask a little sometimes?

This location of the national franchised chain does a robust business specializing in women's wigs…read morefor the nearby community of Jewish women. The human hair they use is high quality and styled beautifully, so you'd never know it's not your own natural hair. Using headbands to hold the wigs on, they're also comfortable (they don't use clips that can damage your real hair). But you pay for it...the lowest price is $2,000 for a short wig (shoulder length) and they go up from there. Unfortunately they do not really service women with medical conditions needing hair replacement because they don't stock hair toppers or similar pieces to fill in for what's missing...although they will make a hair topper if you insist on it, but only by cutting down a full wig. Of course that means it's double or triple the cost you'd pay elsewhere.
