Also, the battery was dying and it's very difficult to get a new battery for a computer this old. I started searching to see if I could get a second opinion and I found Nerdchickk. We texted back-and-forth and she offered to come to the house to take a look at it. She worked on it for 2 1/2 hours trying to change the drivers she charged me $80 and she said there's nothing really that I could do. She told me that I could trade in my computer and get more money. So I'm going to bring her back just to upload all the information from my laptop to a thumb drive [because I don't trust myself to do it] and I'm willing to pay her to do it, because I feel she is very competent. I felt uncomfortable shipping it away to NY, so I made an appointment at IRepair and was told by J ( forgive me if I am spelling this wrong!I never asked how it was spelled) that it would be difficult but it was doable and would cost me about 560 dollars. In deed it took a few weeks- J explained every step of the way and indeed when it was finally done it cost what they had told me, not a penny more.
