I was terrified when my external hard drive with all my pictures since 2012 died. Some quick Google searches and conversations led me to believe I could be looking at 1000 or more to recover my three terabytes of data. I felt uncomfortable shipping it away to NY, so I made an appointment at IRepair and was told by J ( forgive me if I am spelling this wrong!I never asked how it was spelled) that it would be difficult but it was doable and would cost me about 560 dollars. In deed it took a few weeks- J explained every step of the way and indeed when it was finally done it cost what they had told me, not a penny more. As usual when I visit I repair, I am given the best and most honest service and advice. In this case, I was having problems using my hearing aids with earbuds during telephone conversations. The problem was identified and I was directed to several places where I could purchase the needed accessory. Problem solved. In this case, no charge. I took my iPhone 7 in to have lightning port replaced. They were even nice enough to put a screen protector on it. Well I noticed after a day that my screen was replaced. Well that's ok because we all make mistakes right? And hey, new screen. NOPE! It was replaced with used screen that has a pressure spot on it. My old screen had a nick in it and that's gone too so I'm positive it was replaced. Also now my phone just restarts randomly. So I called and explained this to someone who immediately got defensive and denied it. Saying they don't replace screens on a hunch that it was replaced. I guess this is my only recourse now. Great fast service, and cheaper than other services I called to fix an iPhone screen. I was told it would be $99 for a new screen. When I came back an hour later to pick up my phone (fast) it turned out only the top glass was cracked and it only cost $10. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had -and I worked retail and am a generally understanding person. Do not waste your time or money here. I dropped my computer off for an evaluation on September 14th and after having it held hostage for a month and a half finally picked it up today October 31st. Back in September when I left my 2012 MacBook Pro with Payton I was advised that they would have to assess the issues with my computer and then could provide me with a quote. I told him due to the age of the computer I didn't want to spend more than $150. I expected a phone call within a week, but wasn't given a timeline. On September 21st I called and was told they were still analyzing the condition of my laptop, I asked for a call back by the following Friday, they said sure. On October 1st I was frustrated, I had not receiving any communication so I called again. I was told they were still assessing the problem, it could an issue with the RAM (which I knew going in was likely, per a consultation with Apple the year before) which may require shipping it out to NYC. I was annoyed, but wanted my laptop fixed. I was told there was a shipping fee to which I said I need a price quote before determining if I want to absorb that cost. They agreed, said they would call me back by Friday October 5. At this point maybe I should have known better, but I did not receive a call back. I blog and write for my job, so my laptop is pretty essential. I waited until October 11th to call it quits on getting my computer fixed through iRepair. I called on the 11th and said I just wanted to pick it up, I give up. To my dismay my laptop was not at the store IT WAS SHIPPED TO NYC WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. I couldn't pick it up until it was shipped back and it was going to cost me at least $25! They told me that it was going to be $200 to fix my computer and I could take it or leave it but I need to pay the shipping charge. I told them again I just wanted my laptop back, they said they would call when it was back in Williamsville. On the 15th I tried to get in touch with the store for an ETA, but received a busy signal. On the 23rd I called and was informed it was not at the store, it was still down in the city. I felt pretty helpless at this point. On Friday October 26th, for the first time in this entire ordeal I received a voicemail informing me my laptop was ready for pick up, for a $25 fee. I call back within 30 minutes, asked to speak to Dan the manager, provided my phone number and asked for a call back because I did not want to pay a charge I never permitted, but I wanted my laptop back. I was trying to be understanding, it's a small local shop, things happen. I never received a phone call back from Dan. On October 31st I was so drained from this experience, I decided to call one final time before going in. I asked if Dan received my message or if I could find a better number to contact him at, he was available, I was transferred. I tried to explain the situation and my frustrations to which I was told "you are still on the hook for the $25" "sounds like you misunderstood" "honestly I think we already lost you as a customer so just come in and get it so we can be done". Please do not waste your time!!! If this wasn't a scam it still sure was ridiculous. And if anyone knows a computer repair service that values their cudtomers, feel free to message me. read more

My stepdaughter who has an iPhone 6 dropped her phone in the toilet. She lives downstate in Westchester County and decided to take it to repairer there. She later called stating they had worked on it and had replaced the screen. She was told it worked for awhile and then crashed so there was nothing else they could do. I told her to send it to me and when I received it in the mail I took it to IRepair. They looked at the phone, figured out what was wrong and fixed it while I waited. Terrible experience. Took our iPad Mini in for cracked screen replacement due to much cheaper quoted price versus Apple Store. The repair was to be done by the next day, but took several days longer. Was told this was due to them cracking a screen on another Mini which was ahead of us in line. When we picked up there were additional charges so our final price was about 2/3 of the Apple Store price instead of 1/2 as quoted. Still, a savings. The main button stuck after the repair and did not improve so we returned the Mini for more work. The button issue was resolved, but it started "ghosting" and was unresponsive in some areas of the screen. We returned it again and after several excuses for not working on it we finally picked it up and are stuck with it as is. The worst part of the situation is this - the Apple Store will no longer work on it because a third party did a repair. We also found out that when the ghosting issue persists Apple will usually replace it with a refurbished unit because of the difficulty repairing this issue. Lastly, the owner has been very unprofessional throughout this entire process. Initially he told us that we had a lifetime warranty on his repair, but when we brought it back he said it was a year and questioned when the original was done. When I told him to just look it up he ignored me. Evidently they do not keep those records. This might seem like a good deal, but be very wary. read more

Great COMPANY WITH HONEST TECHNICIANS The I don't know what experience any other customer had with Irepair but mine was great. I called them on several occasions, talk with two different people and both were courteous and informative. My problem was my generation one iPad. It wasn't charging all the time. Then it stop charging completely. This was my heart and soul so naturally I was very distraught. From the phone without looking they quoted do different reasons and prices (my options). Finally they told me to bring it in so they can look at it to be sure. I took it in according to their instructions and a young man name Payton looked at it and determined it needed cleaning in the charging port. He fixed it in about 7 minutes and blew out the port with an air hose. After that it work ked fine. He is the most honest businessman I've ever met. I'm a novice and an old man so he could have lied and pull one over on me but he DIDN'T. I will always trust him no matter what. You don't have to tell me twice. Most businesses now a Days only look out for the dollar not the customer. This business is honest, courteous, efficient, tech-savvy, and very reasonable when it come to cost. I went today to have my screen replaced on my iphone. The guy was awesome. He took one look at it and said it was the screen saver that was cracked and could replace it for $10. Had a broken screen for two weeks finally came to get it fixed. Said online it'd only be $90 but because of extensive damage to the screen the LCD had to be replaced so it went up $30. But that's the price I was quoted everywhere else without the LCD so still a good deal. Gave me a free tempered glass screen protector. Definitely will recommend to anyone read more

I brought my iPhone 5 here after cracking my screen. The first day they were out of screens. They told me they would hold one for me if I came in tomorrow, which I agreed too. When I arrived the second day, they forgot to hold one for me and ran out again. This time he promised me, if I come back again the following day he would set one aside. He called me that after noon and told he they have one and they are holding it for me. When I got there he changed the screen in about 10 minutes and took $10.00 of the $90.00 for having to come back twice. They warranty their work so which is good. After a week of having the new screen, it stopped working and would click things when nobody was even touching the screen. I took it in and they replaced it in about 30 minutes, free of charge. If I had any issues again I probably take it there because, they do it quickly and you can wait right there for It, and the price is reasonable. read more

I called a couple places in Buffalo for the quote to fix the screen. iRepair gave the most affordable pricing compared to the other areas. Came in, waited for less than 20 minutes and my screen was replaced with a brand new one! It is still pricey but they gave me a discount because i was a UB student. read more

Mixed opinion. Had a cracked screen replaced on my iPhone 5s. The new screen worked for a couple days and then began to function improperly whereby it would not register touch correctly. I took the phone back to iRepair and they replaced the screen again. This worked for a couple months and then went bad again. Took it to Verizon this time and they said a proximity sensor went bad. I dropped my phone in water and it died. I took it in to see how much it would cost to fix it and the guy behind the counter was very friendly... he took a look at my phone right away and was honest about what would need to be done and how much it would cost. Instead of trying to get me to fix it and spend the money in their shop, he told me it probably wasn't worth it and I should buy a new phone. The only issue I had was the cost of repair. DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR BUSINESS. HE IS RUDE AND HAS A TEMP I went to Irepair Buffalo on Main St in Williamsville with a cracked screen and an iphone 6 that worked perfectly. The employee (who never gave his name) kindly said he could fix the screen and it would be done in 45 minutes. I came back over an hour later and waited another 30 minutes. I found that the phone didnt register my "touch" consistently and the camera didnt work anymore. I returned with my receipt and the employee explained that sometimes broken glass can get stuck or cause damage im not sure...but he said he would wipe out the phone and if that didnt work replace the screen. I dont know much about the devices so of course I said ok and came back after I backed up my phone so it could be wiped clean. The phone seemed to work at first but them i was not able to type words in texts and it would freeze. I returned again and the employee kindly put on a new screen. I am not sure how many trips I made back to the store but it was a handful. While I was there I witnessed the owner of the store interacting with a timid woman who was also returning her product unsatisfied. The woman was anything but confrontational and the owner of the store told her she needed to sit down and relax. Wow this guy is not nice I thought, I hope I dont have to talk to him. After the second screen the phone still was not working. I just wanted a refund at this point but was hesitant to go in and have to interact with the owner who I had seem scold the woman prior. I went into the store earlier this week and the owner (who I was hoping not to get) said he would fix the phone. I said that know they were trying but I dont live around here and I was concerned about how many times I was going to have to come back. I came in with a phone that worked fine and ever since they changed the screen it doesnt work. He drops the phone and says "fine what do you want? do you want a refund? Ill put a cracked screen on your phone and refund your money." I told him I did want a refund and I understood the logic but I felt that after all the hours and driving and headache I have had with this new screen I felt that it was bad business to send me away with a cracked screen. He said he would not give me his product for free. HE THEN WENT BEHIND THE COUNTER, BROUGHT OUT A COUPLE BOXES FILLED WITH BROKEN SCREENS AND SHOOK THEM IN MY FACE SAYING " THESE PEOPLE ARE HAPPY! THESE PEOPLE ARE HAPPY!" THIS MAN IS AWFUL AND SHOULD NOT BE INTERACTING WITH CUSTOMERS. He tried to explain to me that there must have been damage to the phone. I understand the logic there but the fact still remains the phone gave me no problems until you changed the screen. I asked him if I took it to the Apple store would this have happened? He said he was not sure. I wanted a new screen and the phone to work the same way it did when I dropped it off. He also said " oh I am sure you are going to say next that you will bash me on social media to all of your friends." Actually, I have never done this before and I wasn't going to say that but OK. I did not have my receipt on me for my refund. I told him I have had it on my many previous trips, they know me, and they have a copy of each ticket from when I am in the store plus their copy of my credit card slip/ HE TELLS ME GO ON YOUR PHONE AND PULL UP YOUR BANK STATEMENT AND SHOW ME THE TRANSACTION! I go on my mobile banking app still baffled about this man shaking his boxes of broken screens, show him the transaction that says "irepair buffalo 97.28" and he says no I still cant refund you it doesnt show the last 4 digits of the card. I told him I am sorry I dont know how to pull up my bank statement. He went in the back and brought out all of his customer credit card slips for that week of june but magically did not have mine. I asked him if he could just give me a cash refund and write out a new receipt. He said absolutely not. Finally, I said listen this is going nowhere, why dont you just fix the current problem so I can get out of here. I was there for over and hour. he responds with OH NOW YOU WANT ME TO DO YOU A FAVOR! THIS MAN IS A LOCAL BUSINESS OWNER. After fixing the current problem the phone came back with a new problem which frustrated the employee who kindly urged me to come back for a refund with my receipt. I thanked him for showing some kind of empathy. I have never had such an awful experience in customer service in my life. If this man wants to keep fixing screens he needs to hire someone to work the counter so he does not interact with people. I will keep my new screen and broken phone. I will not go back there to be treated like I am doing something wrong by being a customer. read more

This place was so helpful! So yesterday I was running late for work and because I was in a rush, I put my phone on top of my car while I was unlocking the door. I forgot I put it up there and needless to say my phone fell off of my car in the intersection of walden and transit. By the time I realized I didn't have my phone, it had been run over by several cars. The glass was shattered, and there wasn't even a display on the phone just a bunch of green and pink lines. Brought iPhone 6 in for $60 screen repair. Upsold to $80.00 screen/LCD repair, even though LCD worked fine. Following repair, LCD stopped working. Returned phone, was told it's unfixable, and that phone was "on its way out" and that's why it was not their fault. He did not mention phone was "on its way out" before the repair. Was supposed to have one year warranty, but instead he refunded the money paid for the repair that broke my phone and told the broken phone is now my problem. There are many other iPhone repair options, but this place advertised a low price, raised it, then broke the phone and will not take responsibility. read more

$125 to assemble disassembled macbook air. then it would be $250 + fixing cost to fix something. they first said fixing macbook air for water damage is $250 but nothing was fixed and just put everything in the same place because I disassembled and didn't know how to assemble. my screen is still not fixed and audio jack is not fixed too. manager just wants money. i don't think it's written on their pricing chart that just assembling is $125. read more

I'm that "customer" who wrote the previous HONEST review because this place definitely deserved it. Yes in the end I did receive another mini. HOWEVER, The iPad mini I brought in was 32gb and in the end this place gave me a 16gb Mini to "settle" the problem. I had no time to waste with rude people especially I was moving out of town the very next week so I took the cheaper iPad. If the owner was really sincere on fixing the mistake that they made, they would have given me another iPad mini with the same storage or paid the difference between the 16gb and the 32gb brand new iPad mini. I have called the state attorney and also filed a consumer complaint but they won't be able to do much. My advice is take your apple product to Apple to get it fixed. I should have avoided this place after I called them. I called looking for the price on a iPhone 6 LCD replacement screen & I was quoted $150. The guy I spoke to sounded like I was bothering him by attempting to give him business. I drive 30 miles one way to go to the iRepair store to pick up the part. I get there to have who I assume is the owner tell me the price is $200. When I told him I was quoted $150 he said, "that's if we install it". When questioned about the $200 buy the part in the &150 install it he stuttered and said I must've misunderstood you. We don't sell parts, we have to install it. I told him forget it. The parting comment was, "I don't understand why you're upset?" Maybe it's because I just drove 60 miles round-trip to have some shady company/guy try to pull a bait and switch on me! I had my screen replaced for $174 and it did not last a week. Half the screen was totally black after four days. It was not dropped or harmed and it was in an Otter Box. When I called they said all parts are warrantied for one year. My Dad took the phone in and they said it was not the part, some of the screen was working!! Offered to charge half this time!
