In deed it took a few weeks- J explained every step of the way and indeed when it was finally done it cost what they had told me, not a penny more. Despite quite a bit of difficulty in getting my disk to respond to their software. Highly recommend. Seems they love a challenge at IRepair - and recoveries are often just that.

He advised me to purchase the battery myself and let him know when it arrived. Before bringing it in, I organized and backed up my laptop -- even though Joe said it probably wasn't necessary, he agreed it was the wise thing to do. Today I called him, and he told me to bring it right over and he could get it done the same day. What a difference from the Apple Store experience, where I was told I'd need an appointment, then possibly wait 10 days just for them to look at it, followed by another week or more for the repair. I simply couldn't be without my laptop for two weeks. Joe was amazing. He completed the repair in under four hours, the price was very fair, and he was kind, thorough, and professional throughout the entire process. My laptop is working great!!!! I would recommend anyone come here to get their devices fixed. It's one of those places where they aren't trying to rip you off every second of the day and that's probably why people keep coming back. Much cheaper than the dealers and significantly more helpful than any of the official stores. Coming here is the equivalent of finding a guy who lives next door and can fix your device for peanuts. It's not peanuts but compared to how much the retail stores are charging it may as well be free. I recommend this place to anyone who's having trouble with their devices. Notice that there are two of them across the hall from each other inside the Eastern Hills Mall. One of them is much bigger. I'm not really sure what the differences are besides that.
