Hector answered the phone and after explaining my water heater issue he was able to schedule someone to out to my house the next morning. Josh arrived right on time and after discussing my limited space issues where the water heater is located, he was able to confirm that there would not be any problems replacing my old heater, if needed. After explaining to Josh that I was able get the pilot light to stay on and after he inspected my water heater, he recommended that I wait and see if the pilot light goes out again. If it does, it is more than likely a pilot light control (thermocouple) issue. At that time I could have the thermocouple replaced and be good to go! He took the time to educate me on the problem I was dealing with, the causes for it, and the solutions I had available. Luckily I was able to take advantage of the $99 Yelp special they offered, so this went from being a major headache to a minor inconvenience. After the service was complete, Christian took the extra time to check for any other leaks and to make sure things were looking good across the rest of the house, which I greatly appreciated. It turned out that the anode rod was on its last leg and that the water heater would likely not have lasted very long, so they recommended replacing it in the end. It was very reassuring knowing that they were trying to save me the expense of a new water heater. Brian and Damien have been to my place numerous times over the years, and have always come through with flying colors, twice even when I was on vacation. They are honest, thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and just great guys. I appreciate how they pay attention to small details and go the extra mile to explain the repairs to me. He came and fixed it properly. He had to do sheet metal work to get the toilet to seat properly and not rock and seep that sewer gas. Not an easy task and plumbing is a difficult job to do correctly. He also fixed my slow draining shower and other items quickly without drama. He cleaned up also. He was very fair with the pricing. This is not a budget plumber. They do the job properly with the correct items and parts. Plumbers are expensive but this one is fair and does not over charge you.
